No. 6 Cherokee 69, North Cobb 51: Xavier-signee Elijah Tucker scored 19 points followed by Ethan Pickett’s 15, Taihland Owens’ 11 and Tayden Owens’ 10. North Cobb was led by Tyler Gorsuch’s 21 points. Tray Curry scored 9 points and Jaiden Neville added 8.

No. 9 Denmark 58, South Forsyth: 45: Stefan Davidov dropped in 19 points (5 threes) off the bench to pace Denmark as the Danes sank 12 threes. Joseph Scott added 12 points and 2 blocks. Alabama-Huntsville-signee Sutton Smith recorded 9 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Kourtland Tolbert scored 7 points. South Forsyth was led by Devin McGlockton’s 14 points, 8 rebounds and 2 blocks. Brandon Stoudamire netted 8 points.

Week 4 of the GHSA season provides us with uncertainty. Not only on the court, but off it as well as more and more teams go into quarantine by the day. When the ball has been able to bounce, there have been some great games afforded to us most recently by Queens of the Hardwood, It’s Her Time Showcase and the Cherokee/Forsyth Challenge to name a few. COVID has continued to hit programs hard as teams have been in and out of quarantine throughout the season. DeKalb County is finally returning to action, but will the entire state be able to power through the holiday season and the inevitable spike in cases? I hope so.
