Jada Morgan2023 5-7 CG Jada Morgan – Warner Robins
Already a two-time All-State selection, Jada Morgan entered camp with an impressive resume, still with lines of accolades to add over her final two seasons. Morgan moved from Jones County to Warner Robins in the offseason and has kept busy on her game. On Sunday, not only did Morgan score the ball well like we are accustom to but it was her absolutely relentless pursuit of rebounds that stood out the most. Physically stronger than most guards, Morgan used her power to her advantage as she crashed the boards non-stop. In her first game she finished with 13 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal, getting on the glass for two putbacks, scoring on a cut and knocking down a three. She joined a new team for Game 2 and produced even better, posting 13 points, 13 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 1 block. Morgan is an interesting prospect at the next level. Her tenacity and nose for the ball always seem to put her in a beneficial position. Now playing alongside Nevaeh Mack, Jada will have an opportunity to play off the ball more and showcase a more well-rounded offensive game alongside other talented guards.

Kyla Cain
2023 5-10 W Kyla Cain – Galloway
The power wing overwhelmed opponents throughout the course of the day. Kyla Cain is a well-built strong combo-forward that isn’t afraid to mix it up inside. She throws her weight around exceptionally well and is quick off her feet for rebounds. She had 6 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 3 blocks in a 55-31 win. Cain’s versatility was on display when she picked up a steal and went coast-to-coast for the finish. If Kyla is to play on the perimeter at the next level, she will need to fine tune her jump shot but if the four spot is more of her future, she’s already well ahead of schedule with her toughness and ability to impact games in the paint.

2023 5-8 W Lauryn Crump – Woodland-Stockbridge
Entering camp as a relative unknown, Lauryn Crump quickly made a name for herself as she caught the eye of multiple camp coaches in attendance. Crump passes the eye test with a solid frame and quality size on the perimeter. Once the ball is in her hands, you can see the upside. Crump has a pretty stroke with a high release. She can shoot it off the catch from beyond the arc or put the ball on the deck and either get to the rim or knock down the mid-range pull-up. Berry College has shown interest. With an increased role in the offense coming over the course of her next two seasons, don’t be surprised if more D-III programs and maybe higher start to track Crump’s progress.

2022 5-5 PG Jayla Cook – Redan
Miss Energizer Bunny was her typical self, flying all over the floor causing mayhem for opponents. All-State guard Jayla Cook is a blur, both offensively and defensively. The energy she plays with can sometimes be infectious. She does a good job breaking down defenders and getting into the heart of the defense where she can either drop in a floater or kick to open shooters. She had 10 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists in Game 1 and followed up with 6 points, 1 rebound and 1 assist in a low-scoring loss. Though she is typically one of the smallest players on the floor, the fearlessness of Cook and her willingness to sacrifice her body on both ends is why D-II programs are fighting for her services.

D'yanna Maxey
2022 5-5 PG D’yanna Maxey – Douglass
The Region 5-3A First Team selection showed out in her first impression. D’yanna Maxey is a strong compact guard with upper body strength. She’s extremely quick footed and pushes the ball exceptionally well. Maxey’s light on her feet and plays with a bounce that allows her to change directions swiftly. She’s a good leaper that snags rebounds well for her size and can go coast-to-coast in a blink. Maxey has some shiftiness to her game, capable of getting to the rim and finishing over size. She went off in a 37-35 win, hitting the game-winning free throw and finishing with 16 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals. D’yanna is a talented guard that is flying under the radar heading into her senior season. Colleges will want to check in.

Madison Lee
2022 6-1 W Madison Lee – Statesboro
At 6-foot-1, Madison Lee has an intriguing skill set, one that has already landed her an offer from Alabama A&M. Lee is a fluid athlete capable of playing 3-5. She can stretch out the floor and attack off the dribble from the perimeter or post up smaller defenders and shoot over top. Lee has a nice touch from 15-feet and in and can be difficult to guard when she gets to her turnaround jumper out of the post.  Madison uses her length to get on the glass and can guard 1-5 with the amount of ground she can cover. She tallied 9 points, 4 rebounds and 1 steal in a lopsided win.

Cameryn Morris
2023 5-2 PG Cameryn Morris – Lithia Springs
One of the best scorers Class 5A has seen since her freshman year, Cameryn Morris always puts on a show. She’s a sparkplug guard that picks up the tempo and thrives in transition as she weaves through the defense and gets to the rim. Drawing fouls and living at the line can be a staple of her game, using her quickness to get defenders back pedaling and hacking away. Morris has a bit of a streaky outside shot, but she’s nailed 83 over her first two varsity seasons and hit a pair in her first game of the day, finishing with 14 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists. Morris may slip through the cracks here and there due to her size, but she has big game and her dynamic athleticism coupled with her ball handling and scoring make her a legit prospect that D-II schools and below should be familiar with.
