2025 6-7 F Daniel Daramola – Team Forrest – Greenforest
New to Greenforest, Daniel Daramola is the next impactful forward in a long line of trees that will never succumb to deforestation. Daramola is impressive. He is a super bouncy rim protector with great length and impeccable timing. He alters every shot in the paint and can come out and help defend on the perimeter. Daramola is quick off his feet, able to snatch rebounds at their apex. On offense, Daramola uses his mobility and long strides to get to the hoop. He can attack off the dribble and has nice footwork baseline. He finished with 8 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist and 4 blocks playing up in 15U. Daramola made an eye-catching first impression. He may be Greenforest’s newest D-I prospect.
2024 5-8 PG Yuta Yamamoto – Georgia Legacy – Chattahoochee
If you’ve been paying attention to the 15U division, you should know by now that Yuta Yamamoto has been one of the best pound-for-pound scorers in the 2024 class. He can take over games with his elite shooting. The cold-blooded sniper nailed 5 threes en route to 17 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals in a come from behind 64-61 win over Wood Elite before exploding for 39 points against Vision Elite and finishing with 21 vs. Team Thad EYBL. Yamamoto’s pure stroke rarely touches anything other than net. Yuta is more than just a three-point specialist however. He’s a very good ball handler that can create offense for others and uses a pull-up jumper off the dribble when defenders run him off the line. While they may not be the exact same and he hasn’t done it at the varsity level quite yet, Yamamoto has similarities in his game to 2021 graduate and Chattahoochee All-Time Leading Scorer AJ White.
2022 5-11 PG Albert Mikell – D-Favors The Lab – Statesboro
I liked Albert Mikell at the GBCA event and he looked good again in a 57-50 win over AOT 2024. Mikell plays hard. He’s a tough guard that doesn’t shy away from competing. Mikell is a very good shooter that excels at getting to his spots. He hurts teams with his mid-range pull-up and three-point shot. Mikell had 14 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals in the win. He’s a sneaky good guard with a mature feel.
