Abby Slaton2024 5-8 G Abby Slaton – Dawson County
Abby Slaton was electric in a 58-55 overtime loss to North Forsyth at the Raider Classic. The stock-rising guard has officially broken out to start her senior season, already with a 31-point game under her belt before erupting once more on Monday. Slaton buried six threes, carrying the load as the Tigers were without key starter Morgan Chester. Abby worked masterfully without the ball, weaving around screens moving non-stop to get open on the perimeter. Slaton drilled tough shot after tough shot over the course of her special night in front of an emotionally charged packed house. Abby, who has improved each season as a downhill playmaker, hurt North Forsyth with her slashes to the basket, dropping in buckets with scoop shots and floaters. Abby finished with a game-high 28 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 1 block. Slaton is surging up recruiting boards. D-III programs badly want the ever-improving sharpshooter.

London Weaver2025 6-1 W London Weaver – North Forsyth
When North Forsyth needed a bucket in the fourth quarter to force overtime they turned to London Weaver. The long lefty didn’t have her most efficient outside shooting night, but got to work with her attacks from the wing. London loved to take her man off the dribble and spin into her floater, an uncontestable shot at her size. Weaver netted three floaters and totaled seven baskets in the paint on drives to pair with her lone three-pointer. London also made a big impact defensively. Not necessarily known for her acumen on that side of the ball, overshadowed by her offensive skill, Weaver showed great awareness of how to defend inside by walling up and trusting her length to block shots. London tallied 19 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks helping the Raiders advance to a title game showdown with Pope. Boston, Campbell, Army and New Mexico State have all already offered the multi-dimensional wing.

Abbey Bensman2026 5-10 G Abbey Bensman – Pope
Abbey Bensman has the “It” factor. She just finds ways to produce and does so consistently. Her IQ and overall instincts are through the roof. She may not be the most athletic player on the floor, but some how she is always the first to every rebound and every loose ball. Her sense for where to be on the court is impressive, active and seemingly always in the mix. Bensman can shoot the three with the best of them when her feet are set, but also is sneaky good at getting past her first defender and scoring with floaters and pull-ups. Against Hillgrove, Bensman took advantage of the Hawks’ smaller backcourt and crashed in for offensive rebounds routinely, collecting three putbacks. When Abbey found herself on the block, she utilized up-and-under footwork to score. Bensman double-doubled with 19 points, 13 rebounds, 1 assist, 5 steals and 1 block in a 53-49 upset of Hillgrove. The big guard should pop up on college radars soon.

Amaya Harris2025 5-7 G Amaya Harris – Hillgrove
Throughout moments of the game, Amaya Harris controlled the action. She whipped in assists, handled the ball and scored with her jump shot. Harris sank a pair of threes off baseline out of bounds sets and cashed in on a pretty step-back mid-range jumper. Amaya’s strength with the ball allows her to handle pressure and keep defenders at bay. Harris posted 10 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal in the loss. Amaya has a nice future as a collegiate lead guard.
