Zach Bleshoy2025 6-4 PG Zach Bleshoy – Pope
Heading into GBCA Live with offers from Kennesaw State, Ohio, Chattanooga, North Florida and NJIT, more are sure to trickle in over the upcoming weeks. Bleshoy was dominant in a 60-39 win over Lakeside-DeKalb, dropping in 22 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks. Zach’s size, court vision and athleticism are the first things you notice. The lefty is a skilled passer that zips in assists over the top or through the defense when hitting the slip with tight bounce passes. Bleshoy has a college-ready body. He uses a sharp crossover to plant his foot and get to the hoop where he hangs and embraces contact while finishing. Bleshoy has deep three-point range and can lull defenders asleep when away from the ball to catch alley-oops, especially out of baseline out of bounds sets. Zach is one of the toughest guards in the state and big-time competitor that has no issue barking out orders to his teammates.

Zyree Brown2026 5-11 PG Zyree Brown – Pebblebrook
Zyree caught my eye earlier this spring while playing with AE5. On Friday against Miami Country Day, Brown impressed again, using his speed and quickness to make things happen. Zyree finishes with both hands at the basket and is a consistent penetrator who can get two feet in the paint on any drive. Brown’s ability to breakdown his man off the dribble can often lead to collapsing defenses where he can dish to the open man. Brown netted a pair of threes in the loss to Miami Country Day and finished with a team-high 15 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal.

Christian McAllister2025 6-4 G Christian McAllister – Fayette County
The big guard does a great job getting to the hoop. He is physical downhill and uses his body well to shield defenders when charging to the rim. Against Rome in a 59-36 win, Christian scored on five drives. He showed that he could finish with his left hand and had a floater in his arsenal. With his size and strength, McAllister is a reliable rebounder. He’s a threat to clear boards and push in transition. Christian tallied 15 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals.

JJ Winston
2026 6-3 G JJ Winston – Rome
JJ was a bright spot against Fayette County. The wiry guard is a shot-maker. He scores in a variety of ways netting pull-ups, threes and finishing in traffic. Winston is smooth getting to his spots. When put in the pick-and-roll, JJ did a nice job hitting rollers on the slip. Though Winston is on the skinnier side, JJ still mixes it up on defense and uses his athleticism to get stops. JJ finished with 16 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 2 blocks.

2027 6-7 W Brock Bass-Bonner – North Cobb Christian
The inside-out lefty went for 16 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocks in a loss to Hillgrove. Bass-Bonner showed a dynamic skill set with impressive athleticism. Brock hit a three and had two slams including a backdoor alley-oop. He was able to attack the basket and implement a spin move baseline. Bass-Bonner passes the eye-test test. He has one of the highest ceilings in the 2027 class and already has multiple D-I offers.

2027 5-8 PG Grant Robich – North Cobb Christian
Robich is the straw that stirs the drink for North Cobb Christian. He may not lead the team in scoring often, but it is his unselfishness that helps the Eagles click. Grant organizes the offense and sees the floor very well off the dribble. He feeds his teammates in spots where they can score. Grant handles the ball well against pressure and against Hillgrove, found his lone hoop on a one-dribble pull-up. Robich posted 2 points, 1 rebound, 11 assists and 1 steal. Grant is one of the better young passers in the state of Georgia.

2027 6-6 W Asa Montgomery – Hillgrove
I expect Asa to be a steady stock riser over his next three years. Montgomery has continued to grow, standing around 6-foot-6 now. He is a smooth athlete on the perimeter. Montgomery can bang inside for rebounds and serve as a post, but he also has nice guard skills and is a threat to push coast-to-coast after clearing rebounds. Asa is comfortable shooting the pull-up three in transition. Against North Cobb Christian, Montgomery had 11 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal. He scored on a pair of putbacks, hit a straightaway three and had a reverse layup on a cut.

Will Dopfer2026 6-6 F Will Dopfer – Lambert
In a lopsided 55-27 win over Whitefield Academy, no one on the floor could match Will Dopfer’s explosive play. At 6-foot-6 with the skill and size to serve as both a power forward and wing, Dopfer’s athleticism and motor set him apart. When playing on the wing, he’s a downhill attacker that plays above the rim. He has a quick first step and is powerful in the air, playing through contact. Will can grab rebounds and push coast-to-coast. I was impressed with his defense on Friday, swatting away shots with ease. Dopfer finished with 11 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals and 3 blocks. Adding a consistent outside shot off the dribble could help him stick on the perimeter. Right now he is tweener but a very effective one that can create mismatches especially when slotting in at the four. D-I and D-II programs will track him closely over his final two seasons.

2026 6-7 F Judge Wilbanks – Habersham Central
Habersham Central is loaded with talent and is a serious threat to win the Region 8-5A title. Their massive frontline goes 6-foot-7, 6-foot-7 and 6-foot-8, but all three are versatile multi-dimensional pieces. Wilbanks may be the least ballyhooed, but with back-to-back strong GBCA Live weekends, Judge is climbing up recruiting boards. He is a physical forward that bangs in the paint for buckets but also can stretch the floor with his jump shot. He hit a pair of threes against Cambridge, finishing with 10 points, 7 rebounds, 2 steals and 1 block. Wilbanks is a threat with his catch-and-shoot 15-footer and has enough footspeed and ball skills to take his man off the dribble from within the arc. The 4.0 GPA student will likely become an attractive prospect for D-III programs.

2025 6-5 SG Alex Young – Brookwood
Alex filled up the box score in a 57-56 double overtime win over Decatur, posting 16 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals and 1 block. Young has a steady game. With size and skill, Alex can put his fingerprints all over games but is able to do so without having to make splashy plays. He’s a good three-point shooter with an effortless release with limited lift. When he gets to the hoop, he elevates well to finish in traffic. Improving his wiggle with the ball and ability to get to his spots will help him reach his ceiling. He’s an interesting prospect being tracked all the way from D-I schools down to D-III schools.

2025 6-8 C Deshawn Davis – Savannah
Deshawn was a monster in a 51-48 loss to Hueytown, especially in the first half as he collected 14 rebounds, playing fetch with the ball once a shot went up. Davis finished with 16 points, 17 rebounds and 1 steal. Davis has filled out his frame a little more since last seeing him in the Class A D-I Final Four. With his size and length, Davis is a great offensive rebounder. His touch around the basket is improving. He flashed the ability to use his left-hand. Playing through contact is an area of growth which Deshawn has gotten better at but can still improve. He scored on five putbacks and used a drop-step into a hook shot for his best bucket of the day. Davis shot 2-8 from the foul line. Deshawn is still a defense and garbage-guy first big man, but I like the strides I am seeing in his game. With some long-term development, Davis could be an impactful collegiate big man. Expect D-II programs to be most heavily involved.

Malik Gillespie2026 6-0 G Malik Gillespie – Houston County
Locked in a tight game, Malik stepped on the gas in the second half to give Houston County the separation needed to hold off Denmark 52-45. Gillespie got hot in the second half, hitting one-dribble pull-ups from the mid-range and three-point line before sinking a corner three and scoring on a drive. In total, Malik posted 16 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 1 block. He excelled as a creator off the dribble, seeing the floor. Gillespie was explosive getting to his spots and hung in the air for tough finishes. Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Georgia State have offered.

Christian Caldwell2028 6-5 F Christian Caldwell – Denmark
The freshman holds a lot of promise. He is exactly what Denmark needs – an athletic high-motor forward that can help the Danes compete in the paint. Caldwell’s activity level was impressive against Houston County, keeping plays alive with his rebounding. He scored on a pair of putbacks and did a great job getting to the foul line, shooting 6-9 from the charity stripe. In the 52-45 loss, Caldwell double-doubled with 16 points, 12 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 block.

2025 6-7 F Daniel Ogunyemi – Milton
Playing Oak Ridge, who proved to be the best team in the event, Daniel Ogunyemi battled admirably to post 16 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal in a 79-63 loss. The recent Yale-commit showed toughness and strength while battling inside. He scored on some straight-line drives against the press and threw his weight around in the paint, dipping his shoulder to clear out defenders. Daniel scored on three putbacks, three drives and sealed for an over-the-top lob layup. The southpaw’s energy will carry Milton far this season. He’s a game changing defensive presence that has steadily improved offensively each season while getting stronger and stronger.

2025 6-2 SG Dhvanish Vaghela – Milton
The crowd erupted once Dhvanish got in the game and showed what he could do from beyond the arc. The three-point specialist drilled his first five threes en route to going 5-7 from distance with 15 points and 1 steal. Vaghela nailed four threes from the corners, using a lightning quick release to get shots off. The lefty’s elite skill will earn him minutes in a crowded backcourt. He’s the perfect marksman to play off the ball from Milton’s dynamic guards and attention-grabbing big men.

2026 6-1 PG Bobby Buggs – Eagle’s Landing
Back at Eagle’s Landing after playing with ELCA last weekend, Buggs looked comfortable as the go-to guy for the Eagles. Bobby thrives in transition, able to use his speed and athleticism in the open floor. Buggs’ defense often ignites his offense. Even in the half court, it’s Buggs’ quick first step that allows him to slither his way to the rim. He elevates at the basket, able to play above the rim for slams. When Buggs goes into isolation settings, not only can he blow by the defense, he can also use a side-step move to pull-up for threes. In a 52-47 win over Calvary Christian, Buggs went for 18 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals and 1 block.

2025 6-9 C Hannibal Smith – Eagle’s Landing
Hannibal wore on Calvary Christian as the game went on, scoring 12 of his 13 points in the second half to go with his 11 rebounds and 1 block. Smith has great size, length and mobility. He has a frame that can likely add even more muscle long-term. Hannibal scored on four putbacks and went 3-4 from the foul line. Smith could be an interesting option at the next level. He has tools to work with and could really blossom if he starts to develop a go-to move with his back to the basket.

Luke Jack
2025 6-6 G Luke Jack – Creekview
Trevecca offered Jack at the conclusion of GBCA Live, joining Stetson as the latest school to offer this offseason. Luke should see a significant uptick in his recruitment over his final season. At 6-foot-6 with true point guard skills, Jack should immediately check a lot of boxes. He picked apart the defense in a 60-53 loss to Spartanburg, both as a scorer and a passer. Luke aired out lead passes to ignite fastbreak scoring chances. In the halfcourt, Jack used his body to get to his spots, backing down and spinning off his defender before rising over them to shoot from the mid-range. Luke poured in 26 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists and 1 steal while sinking three three-pointers. Jack netted a pair of And-1 post turnaround jumpers and hit two mid-range pull-ups. Luke is a three-level scorer who makes others around him better. As he continues to fill out his frame, Jack’s dynamic offense and versatile defense will improve.
