2028 5-4 PG Ansley Dunn – Cherokee
It is a pleasure watching Ansley Dunn run the point. Although she is just a freshman, Dunn’s polish and savvy can stack up against the most experienced guards in the state. Her ability to handle the ball against pressure and get her teammates open looks is impressive, a true point guard which has her priorities in line. Dunn always keeps her dribble alive and has her head up as she weaves through the defense looking to create offense for her shooters. Dunn zips in accurate passes on the move, thriving as a drive-and-kick orchestrator. Ansley uses her body and low center of gravity extremely well. She likes to back down defenders and spin off them to get two feet in the paint where she can either finish with a floater or set up a three-point attempt. In a 60-51 win over Butler, Dunn scored on a pair of drives, three floaters and two mid-range jumpers as she collected 17 points, 2 rebounds and 5 assists. Ansley will draw serious recruitment over the course of her career and should quickly climb up Cherokee’s all-time assists leaderboard.

2026 5-9 W Lyla Griffith – Cherokee
Part of a well-oiled machine, Lyla often is asked to do the dirty work to keep things churning. Against Butler, Griffith did so before fouling out with 27.5 seconds left. The hard-worker produced 11 points, 10 rebounds and 1 assist. She hit a pair of corner threes, scored on a drive and converted an And-1. Lyla’s nose for the ball and physicality have always allowed her to play bigger than her height. Her versatility really shines on defense as she drew the assignment of face-guarding Brayla Harris periodically throughout the fourth quarter.
2025 5-9 G Brayla Harris – Butler
A wiry guard, Harris is a streaky scorer that can put up points in bunches. She has touch from all three levels, hitting shots both off the catch and off the dribble. While she left points at the foul line, shooting 4-11, Harris did sink four threes and showed the ability to finish with both hands at the basket. Brayla did a nice job defensively when locked up on Madison Moody and was able to power the Butler offense with a game-high 22 points, 6 rebounds and 3 steals. She had a positive showing with point guard Paris Floyd inactive and the Central Georgia Tech coaching staff courtside whom she holds an offer from along with Mississippi Valley State.
2025 5-11 W Rania Curry – Butler
Back from her ACL tear, Rania Curry flashed her upside against Cherokee finishing with 14 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 7 steals and 1 block. The Mercer-commit jumped into passing lanes and started fastbreaks by blending her size, athleticism and guard skills to create turmoil. Curry has a ton of tools. As a big guard, she can help initiate the offense but also has the skill set to play the forward position in a small-ball lineup. She drilled a pair of corner threes and finished with both hands upon getting downhill.

2026 5-11 W Saniya Binion – Campbell
The bouncy Binion did damage inside and out in a 56-19 win over Roswell. Saniya is a gifted athlete with great length and a nose for the ball. Binion does a nice job tracking down rebounds, grabbing them at their apex before springing back up for layups. Saniya scored on three putbacks but most impressive to me was her outside shooting. She netted a pair of threes with a high arcing jump shot. Binion piled in 20 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals. As long as Saniya can continue to stay healthy throughout her career, I can see D-I programs getting involved sooner rather than later.
2028 5-10 F Aleigha Parish – Campbell
A last second move-in from New Manchester, Aleigha is a difference maker for the Spartans. The twin is strongly built and athletic. She can create mismatches with her rugged play inside but also her swift ball handling in the open court. Parish is a double-double threat with her motor. The freshman collected 10 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals against Roswell. I really like Parish’s future.
2026 5-11 G Alex Gonda – Roswell
Gonda has nice size on the perimeter with a strong frame for a guard. The lefty is sturdy enough to play inside, helping defend the post and rebound. Against Campbell, Alex found her offense on a floater and a transition hoop off a steal. Gonda finished with 5 points, 2 rebounds, 2 steals and 1 block. While it was a tough first impression playing against a good Campbell team, I think there is reason for optimism about Alex Gonda’s future.
