2027 6-4 W Lorenzo McCorvey – Walker
I saw a lot of tools I liked from Lorenzo McCorvey. He’s got a lean, athletic frame with long arms. He has the size and ball skills to play every position for the Wolverines who are void of major height. McCorvey had the ball in his hands a lot against Lovett, often times initiating the offense. He saw the floor well, hitting backdoor cutters along the baseline. McCorvey hurt the defense with his 15-feet and in game. He scored on two And-1s, one being a coast-to-coast take. He sank a mid-range jumper, scored off the bounce, found space via a cut and finished with a slam as he tallied 12 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 steal. With his versatility among multiple positions, McCorvey should be a stock riser over his final three seasons.

2025 5-11 G Xavier Berry – Walker
Xavier was all over the place in Walker’s 67-58 win over Lovett. With Anderson Carey out, Berry picked up the scoring slack. Xavier excelled at getting out in transition. His active defense sparked numerous fastbreak opportunities. Berry scored all his points inside the arc. He has two buckets off of steals, sank a mid-range jumper along the baseline, snuck onto the glass for two putbacks and showed the ability to score with either hand. He freed himself from a defender with a spin move to get into a floater. While he led the Wolverines in scoring, Berry also took the time to distribute, attacking off the bounce to dish to open teammates. Xavier recorded 21 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals.

2027 5-10 G Cameron Cannon – Lovett
In a 67-58 loss to Walker, Cameron Cannon was a bright spot, carrying the offense with a game-high 28 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. Cannon dumped in 15 points in the fourth quarter, attacking the basket and living at the foul line. In total, Cameron shot 10-12 from the line going a perfect 8-8 in the fourth. While Cannon is small in stature, he does a nice job getting to his spots. He attacks angles and can finish in crowds. He scored on fives drives, able to get all the way to the basket while mixing in a floater. Cannon added a pair of threes to his ledger.

Dillon Nixon
2026 5-8 G Dillon Nixon – Buford
Dillon Nixon has stood out in every game I have watched this season with his cool demeanor and ability to deliver with the game on the line. He had 24 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals in double overtime against Harrison to open the year then posted 14 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal in a narrow loss to North Oconee at the Sandy’s Spiel Shootout. On Monday against a towering Calvary Day team, Nixon led the Wolves to a 76-72 win, pouring in a game-high 25 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal while draining five three-pointers. Even while giving up serious size and weight against whoever was guarding him, Dillon found ways to be successful. The Wolves beautifully swing the ball around the perimeter, routinely passing up good shots for great shots as the ball often found itself in Nixon’s hands last. While his three-point shooting a decision-making standout, Dillon also managed to score inside the arc, hitting a mid-range jumper, two baseline floaters, scoring off a steal and converting a hoop with five seconds left against the press to ice the game. Nixon has all the intangibles to play at the next level as long as colleges don’t hold his height against him, which they shouldn’t considering how well Dillon elevates.

2025 6-2 W Kyle Carpenter – Buford
Kyle’s football toughness and overall energy really helped the undersized Wolves. Carpenter filled up the stat sheet, making key plays defensively while crashing the glass and creating for others. With under a minute to go, Kyle made a huge stop by stripping Kuol Deng on a three to spark a transition opportunity to extend the lead to four points. Carpenter finished with 11 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 5 steals and 1 block. He drew the assignment of guarding Deng throughout the day and was able to make him work hard for every bucket while drawing him out of the paint on defense with his ability to drive and dish. Kyle buried a step-back three to start his day, added a mid-range jumper and scored twice off steals.

Kuol Deng2026 6-10 F Kuol Deng – Calvary Day
With Tulane courtside Kuol Deng impressed, filing in 22 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 1 block. The dynamic big man has a diverse offensive skill set which has exploded over the past year. Deng is so smooth when it comes to netting turnaround jumpers over defenders. He hit four jump shots and showcased his mobility and ball skills by getting to the basket with a eurostep, finishing with a slam. When Deng got the ball in the post, he didn’t force bad shots and was able to exploit Buford’s over attentiveness by hitting cutters for layups. Kuol is the real deal. I expect more D-I programs to follow Florida State with offers.

Demetrius Brown2026 6-0 G Demetrius Brown – Calvary Day
The big guard impressed me again with his ability to penetrate and hit tough shots in traffic. Demetrius works well off high ball screens, getting deep into the teeth of the defense where absorbs contact to finish floaters or finds his rolling bigs posting up. Brown scored with both hands at the rim and was able to muscle his way onto the backboards for a putback as he finished with 13 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists and 1 steal. I am bullish on Calvary Day’s chances to win a few games in the state playoffs. They pass the eye test and have a physical backcourt that can score the ball between Brown and MJ Knight. The Cavaliers should be on college coaches’ short list of teams to see this year.

2025 6-10 W Caleb Wilson – Holy Innocents’
In just three quarters of work, Caleb Wilson thoroughly dominated KIPP Atlanta with 18 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 8 blocks. Wilson was an impenetrable force, turning back every attempt KIPP had at the rim as they continually tested the five-star recruit. Wilson’s energy, length, skill and athleticism are rarely found. He looked like a man amongst boys in Holy Innocents’ 57-39 win, a game in which the Golden Bears led 55-25 after three quarters. Wilson had breathtaking dunks, exciting coast-to-coast drives and showed finesse with eurosteps into floaters. Caleb can do it all on the hardwood. He will be committing between North Carolina and Kentucky tonight on NBA on TNT.

2026 6-7 F Khalid Worthy – Holy Innocents’
Khalid simply outworked KIPP Atlanta, relentlessly pounding the offensive glass as he scored on five putbacks. The three-star tight end hung 19 points, 18 rebounds, 1 assist, 4 steals and 2 blocks. His activity level was through the roof. Defensively, he helped hold D-I prospect 6-foot-10 Chane Bynum to 1 point and 1 rebound. Worthy’s addition to the roster gives the Golden Bears another interior presence for opponents to worry about. With so much attention on keeping Caleb Wilson away from the ball, Khalid has plenty of opportunities to do damage.

2027 6-4 W Akil Robinson – KIPP Atlanta
Even when the score got lopsided, Akil Robinson played hard for the Warriors. Akil is an active wing that can attack inside and out. He was able to get into the paint and finish with a floater. Robinson hit a step-back pull-up jumper and twice turned steals into fastbreak dunks. Akil finished with a team-best 16 points, 3 rebounds, 4 steals and 1 block. He’s a sneaky good player with upside.
