2026 5-10 G Abbey Bensman – Pope
Abbey might be the most underappreciated star in the state. Bensman is brilliant in the classroom with a 4.7 GPA and is a competitor, shining on the hardwood and of course on the gridiron as a two-time state champion in flag football. Bensman is a habitual producer, so effective and efficient. In a 59-49 win over South Forsyth, Bensman guarded inside and out. She was smothering when defending the post, blocking shots with her length. Abbey has great body control. She has a strong frame and deftly knows how to slide her body into rebounding position while boxing out the opposition. Abbey had just four points at halftime as Pope led 23-20 before a Bensman avalanche occurred. She drained three threes, dropped in three floaters and converted another drive as she racked up 21 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, 6 steals and 3 blocks. Abbey fills up the box score every single game. Her consistency and unassuming manner in doing so is fun to watch. Bensman would be dynamic at the D-III level and very productive in D-II if she decided to pursue basketball in college.
2026 5-10 G Ellison Steinhauer – Pickens
Ellison stole the show against Northview in the Red Bracket Championship in a 43-35 losing effort. It was a cringe worthy game for non-D-I programs as Steinhauer poured in 24 points, 11 rebounds and 1 block in a sterling effort in front of the likes of the entire North Georgia staff, Jackson State, East Tennessee State, Alabama Huntsville and Berry just to name a few schools ranging from D-I to D-III. Ellison was masterful, the best performance I saw during the week. The balance in which Steinhauer plays is impeccable. She loves to spin quickly and precisely off two feet to get to her jumper and has a great change of pace with her crossover. Steinhauer enters every game knowing a massive scoring burden is on her shoulders and that teams will gameplan around stopping her but she still manages to produce and does so with limited substitutions, the ball in her hands often and no time to hide on defense as she has to guard opposing posts. Speaking of the post, the wiry Steinhauer is exceptional at ducking in for post-ups and getting to her turnaround jumper. The high IQ daughter of a former head coach and now assistant for the Nettes, Steinhauer does so much right on the floor. She’s crafty with the ball, she rebounds with strength and can be used in a variety of ways to find her shot. Steinhauer is elite at getting to her spots, hitting five pull-up jumpers against Northview. Her mid-range is her bread and butter but she’s also skilled at absorbing contact and finishing drives through fouls. Being able to play off the ball more could create more catch-and-shoot three-point attempts but with her high usage rate they don’t come as frequently as they did in the past. I have contended for a while now that Steinhauer is a D-I guard. Getting her in a college weight room to add muscle to her frame is a scary thought as to how it could benefit her game at the next level with how good she already is with her functional strength. The only reported offer heading into GBCA Live was from Roosevelt. Unsurprisingly, Anderson and Middle Georgia State have now offered as well. She has another massive D-II offer about to materialize – it will be interesting to see if any D-I programs pull the trigger.
2026 5-5 G Tamariana Bivins – Northview
Tamariana brings energy and experience to the backcourt. Her speed gets her to the rim, scoring four times at the bucket. She keeps her head up as a distributor and can apply pressure on defense. In a balanced attack against Pickens, Bivins tallied 12 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal.
2026 5-10 F Kelly Reynolds – Northview
D-III programs like Kelly’s game and I came away impressed as well in my first viewing. Reynolds has a strong frame. She’s not bashful about attacking 50/50 balls and is a reliable rebounder for her size. While she can bang inside for buckets with both hands, Reynolds also can stretch the floor with her corner three. Add in the fact that she can attack downhill with spin moves and you have a mismatch in the frontcourt. Reynolds racked up 9 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists to help Northview to the Red Bracket Championship.
2026 5-5 PG Camryn Golston – St. Francis
The blazing speed and electric athleticism of Cam Golston is at the very top of the food chain in Georgia. She’s a blur in the open court and her leaping ability allows her to play much bigger than 5-foot-5. Golston is capable of playing on and off the ball. She’s a steady perimeter shooter and holds a ton of value as a drive-and-kick penetrator. In 20-point win over North Forsyth, Golston racked up 10 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 1 block. She finished coast-to-coast with both hands and showcased a mid-range game. With her elite quickness, Cam is a disruptive defender that covers sideline-to-sideline full court extremely well. Georgia State is the latest program to offer with William & Mary, UNC Wilmington and Little Rock all offering this calendar year.
2026 5-8 W Madison Houck – Rabun County
I love Madison Houck’s game. She won’t get the headlines as a scorer very often but what she brings to Rabun County is invaluable. Serving as a combo-forward and one of the LadyCats’ tallest players, Houck is a versatile piece in the frontcourt. Madison is a tremendous passer. She is excellent from the high post and low post, wrapping around passes to teammates on the block or finding cutters. She does a great job stepping toward the pass to create a safe angle for delivery. Houck scores out of the pick-and-roll and often does a well flashing to open spots on the floor. Madison can hit the occasional three as well and if she’s guarded by a bigger slower defender, she is more than capable of attacking off the dribble with a swift first step. I think Madison’s most impressive game at GBCA came against Lamar County. Tasked with defending 6-foot-1 Ja’Ziyah Foster, regarded as a D-I prospect, Houck held the Class A D-I Freshman of the Year to four points while posting 11 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 1 block. Against Gilmer, Madison dished out four assists in an overtime loss. Houck has a sneaky high skill level and an admirable compete level. NCCAA, D-III and NAIA programs might want to check her out due to her versatility and fundamentals.

2026 5-4 G Bree Burnette – Gilmer
Bree has become a well-rounded option in the backcourt. Burnette can stroke the three but her toughness with the ball really stood out in an overtime win against Rabun County. Bree fought her way up the sideline against the press and drew fouls whenever defenders rode her. In the flex offense, Burnette cut extremely well to find subtle openings in the defense. Bree finished with 15 points and 3 rebounds, cashing in on three long-balls in the 46-42 victory.
2026 6-3 C Bre’yona Hill – Ware County
Schools in search of a physical post presence should check out Bre Hill. Standing close to 6-foot-3 with a powerful frame, Hill is impactful inside with her ability to get deep post position. Having a dominant mindset and playing aggressive will unlock her potential. Bre attended the Sandy’s Spiel Spring Showcase in March and seemingly has worked on that phase of the game as she was not bashful about looking for her offense against Sequoyah. Hill recorded 12 points, 13 rebounds and 2 steals. She scored on a pair of putbacks, a mid-range jumper, a hook shot and a backdown. Continuing to gain confidence in using her left hand will be an area of growth her senior season. I liked how Bre was in attack mode from the high post, using her deceptive quickness to get to the hoop. Hill is deserving of college looks. She’s a quality under the radar option.
2026 6-1 C Marley Derringer – Bremen
Marley immediately passes the eye-test. A super athlete with broad shoulders who is a three-time high jump state champion with a state record of 6’0”, Derringer dominates inside with her length, strength and quick leaping ability. While track and field is seemingly her top sport, it’s not crazy to envision Marley picking up some serious college interest in basketball once schools know where to find her. Derringer gobbles up putbacks and swats away shots. In a 41-22 win over Cedar Shoals, Marley flashed some back-to-the-basket offense, scoring on a drop step, a post step-thru and a high-low seal. Derringer collected 14 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, 4 steals and 5 blocks. Her athleticism shines on defense with quick instincts and a nose for the ball. I would like to see more of Marley. From the 28 minutes I got to see, she looked like a strong option for D-III/NAIA programs that could really blossom at the next level.
2026 6-1 C @marleyderringer (@bremenbball) is a sleeper in the basketball world. Terrific athlete gets off the floor quick. Long and strong. Double-double machine. Star high jumper. #GBCALive @girlsgbcalive pic.twitter.com/FW67JlZ71E

2026 5-10 F Kendall Campbell – Columbia
Kendall will surely draw some recruiting attention her senior season. Campbell is a strong forward who uses her body well in the paint. She bangs to get position inside for rebounds and has a drop step that moves defenders out of her way. In a win over Heritage-Catoosa, Kendall came up with 8 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 2 blocks.
2026 5-11 G Maddie Siuta – Dawson County
Clocked in and locked in at the 9 AM time slot, Maddie Siuta put on a show in front of Kennesaw State, Flagler and Berry as she went for 25 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal with five made threes. The big guard was able to get into a rhythm quickly against Woodland-Stockbridge. Siuta shoots the ball well off the catch but has also shown she can score off the dribble with pull-ups. Two step-back jumpers were her most memorable buckets of the days, hitting one from beyond the arc while the other came on a pull-up in the mid-range. While her jump shot is her top weapon, Maddie also looked to create downhill. She managed to score in transition and went coast-to-coast with her left hand. Siuta created scoring chances for herself and others upon rebounding, igniting fastbreak opportunities. Maddie has become a steady passer in the pick-and-roll game and does well at delivering catchable entry feeds to her post players. Siuta may be able to move off the ball a little more her senior season which could open up more catch-and-shoot chances. Either way, Maddie provides good value at the next level with her size and her combo-guard skill set. Siuta should be in play for D-II schools with D-III and NAIA programs in the mix as well.
2026 5-11 G @MaddieSiuta4 (@DawsonTigersWBB) is having a big game in the 9AM time slot. Grabbing rebounds sparking fast breaks. Getting all the way to the rim with her left hand and draining threes off the dribble & catch. #GBCALive @girlsgbcalive pic.twitter.com/9O7L5SEa90

2026 6-1 C Ava Roberson – Dawson County
Not many like to mix it up more in the paint than Ava does. Roberson is rough and tumble big that locks horns and leaves a lasting impression on her opposition. She does a very good job collecting offensive rebounds and is good at showing a target hand when posting up. Ava finishes well with her left hand and is capable of knocking down the 15-footer. Roberson recorded 6 points, 13 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 1 block against Woodland-Stockbridge. She picked up an offer from Eastern University at the end of 2024 and should have more D-III options to choose from before all is said and done.
2026 5-5 PG Asia Johnson – GAC
It’s hard to believe Asia is already a senior. I remember first watching her at the inaugural GBCA Live event at Suwanee Sports Academy as an incoming freshman, coming away thinking she would be the next big thing at GAC. Scoop has had a strong career and is the head of the snake for the Spartans. She is at her best when she is using her speed to penetrate. She can get to her floater and really crank up the pressure on defense. In a loss to Camden County, Johnson posted 9 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 blocks. Asia is a valuable guard who may be slightly flying under the radar heading into her final season.
2026 5-5 G A’Niyah Browner – Jenkins
Browner sparked Jenkins after a sluggish start, scoring nine of her 11 points in the second half against Gainesville. Defense sparked A’Niyah and the entire Warrior crew as she collected 5 steals to go with her 4 rebounds and 1 assist. Browner found her points in the paint, scoring on a putback, an And-1 coast-to-coast layup, a floater and a hoop in transition. Her effort regardless of the score was a positive in a 30-27 loss.
2026 5-6 PG Devin Bockman – Midtown
A one-woman press breaker, Devin Bockman was unrattled against Coffee’s trademark frantic full court man. Bockman guided the Knights to the finish line, holding off the Trojans with 20 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists in 42-40 win. Devin brilliantly split traps and turned the press against Coffee. She knocked down pull-up threes, finished with her left hand and punished the Trojans any time they fouled her, going 4-4 from the foul line. Coffee tried to face guard Bockman the final five minutes but her cool under pressure showed why she is regarded as one of the best point guards in Georgia. It is hard to fathom but Bockman had no offers posted online heading into GBCA Live but quickly snatched one up from Central Georgia Tech. More offers should be coming soon as she played well in front of West Georgia, Flagler and South Georgia Tech.
2026 6-2 C Hailey Wortmann – Midtown
Hailey had 13 points, 10 rebounds, 1 steal and 3 blocks in a two-point win over Coffee. Her impact was felt inside, helping limit easy scoring chances for Co-Region 2-5A Player of the Year Lexie Bradford by walling up and altering her shots. Wortmann looks to be in her best shape. She runs the floor exceptionally well and has blossomed into Georgia’s most productive bigs, posting 16.6 points, 9.8 rebounds and 2.7 blocks per game as a junior. Wortmann scored on an And-1 left-handed up-and-under and sank a baseline jumper against Coffee. It feels like an unusually slow moving recruitment cycle for the class of 2026, but when all is said and done, I feel like Wortmann will land at the D-I level.
2026 5-10 C Lexie Bradford – Coffee
The Co-Region 2-5A Player of the Year is a bulldozer in the post. She loves to use her physicality to get deep post position then overpower defenders with her drop step. While power is a huge part of Lexie’s game, her passing needs high praise as well. She does a very good job passing out of the post and from the high post, finding cutters. Lexie scores well through contact. Finishing against length was difficult at times against Midtown’s Hailey Wortmann but Bradford was able to stick with her misses and eventually find points up close or kicked it out to reset the offense. Coffee is at their best when they are able to play through Lexie. She tallied 9 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 1 block against the Knights. Bradford is an interesting prospect for non-D-I programs. I like her old school game.
2026 5-8 G Callan Ledford – Murray County
In what was a knock-down-drag-out fight – a physical war with bodies colliding everywhere, Callan proved to be the last woman standing as Murray County rallied to topple Brunswick 47-46. Following a scoreless first half, Ledford came to life with 9 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 steals and 2 blocks. Callan is an incredible competitor when it comes to going toe-to-toe against bigger players. She is a warrior on the glass and the first one to get on the floor for loose balls. While she struggled to finish up close against Brunswick’s length in the first half, she adjusted just in time as she found buckets on cuts, drives and a key three-pointer late. Ledford sacrificed her body in crunch time by drawing a charge. Callan puts in a hard day of work every time she plays, leaving everything she has on the floor. Her toughness will win over college coaches looking for a winner. D-III, D-II and NAIA programs should all be involved.
2026 5-9 G Martin Davis – Brunswick
The pride of the Golden Isles, Martin Davis is one of the best 2026 guards outside of the Metro Atlanta area. I love how hard she plays. She is an engaged defender on every possession, quick laterally to cut off ball handlers. Defense has always been a calling card for Davis as she routinely stuffs the stat sheet, averaging 14.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 4.7 steals as a junior. On offense, Martin is primarily a slasher and distributor. Developing a reliable three-point shot will be important heading into her senior season. Against Murray County she nailed a pull-up three at the buzzer in a 47-46 loss, once again overloading the box score with 16 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Martin had two left-handed layups in transition, one an And-1 off a steal. She dropped in a floater in the halfcourt and got downhill on another drive. Martin went 3-3 from the foul line. With her size and aggressive athleticism, Davis holds value at the combo-guard position. The 4.15 GPA student was offered by Central Georgia Tech in December. Her effort on both ends of the floor will make a college program very happy. Non-D-I schools will want to touch base with Davis.
2026 5-6 PG Aubrey Norris – Jones County
I like Aubrey Norris and I’m glad I finally got to watch her in person after having to settle for Hudl clips last season. Norris is tough. She is a strong compact guard with good athleticism. Aubrey excels at getting to her spots off the bounce. She caught fire with her mid-range pull-up against Central-Macon, hitting three from around 15-feet while mixing in a three-pointer. Norris has a mature game and shows feel and experience with the ball in her hands. She collected 13 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 1 block in a 43-40 win against the Lady Chargers. Aubrey is a college-caliber guard. I think D-II programs will want to kick off her recruitment especially after she went for 20 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists vs. Hebron Christian and 15 points, 4 assists and 2 steals against Norcross.
2026 6-0 F Ayana Roberts – Hampton
I love how aggressive Ayana is around the rim. Roberts is a bouncy athlete with a strong frame. She pounds away inside but also has the agility to attack on the perimeter. She dropped in a floater and hit a mid-range jumper to pair with her high-low finish against Lanier. Roberts posted 12 points, 14 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 1 block in a loss to Lanier. Ayana is one of the more underrated forwards in Georgia. I think she can help at the next level.
