2027 5-6 G Sydnee Hunter – Creekside
With CeCe Dennis sidelined with a torn ACL, the Seminoles made a statement behind the play of Sydnee Hunter, toppling River Ridge 69-63 to run Creekside’s winning streak to 35 games. The blinding speed of Hunter resulted in 25 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals and most impressive, zero turnovers. Hunter’s shiftiness allowed her to penetrate at will. She scored against length with both hands, dropping in tough floaters. Sydnee has great body control while slicing through the defense, absorbing contact to draw fouls as she shot 7-9 from the line. Now a focal point of the offense, Sydnee has a tremendous opportunity to showcase her ability to lead a team with title aspirations. Don’t be surprised if college offers begin to sprout.
2028 5-7 G Maliha Harris – Creekside
I was impressed with Maliha’s shot making and length. Listed around 5-foot-7, Harris feels longer with her lean frame. She went 2-2 from the foul line and hit a handful of mid-range jumpers to finish with 18 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal. Harris spent time initiating the offense at point guard, protecting the ball with zero turnovers. Maliha’s rangy defense and jump shooting will be relied upon heavily throughout the season. She shot 7-13 on Saturday.

Finley Parker was a bright spot for the Knights, dominating with her inside-out game. Her jump shot was on point especially in the first half. Parker totaled 8-18 shooting while sinking 5-10 threes to accumulate a game-high 26 points, 17 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 blocks. Parker netted straightaway threes and was tough in the post, scoring on turnaround jumpers with a soft touch. Finley is a true three-level scorer. Power 5 programs are all over the blue-chip prospect.

The super sixth man came off the bench to power Holy Innocents’ to their first win of the season, outlasting North Paulding in overtime 72-60. McMasters exploded for 21 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals and 1 block, shooting 5-9 from the field including 3-5 from deep and 8-8 from the foul line. Elana hit key shots late and helped put the game on ice in overtime. Known for her outside shooting, McMasters’ willingness to crash the glass and draw fouls around the basket led to her big game. Sewanee offered in September.
2028 5-2 PG Makenzie Weaver – Holy Innocents’
Weaver supplied pesky on-ball defense and hit three of the Golden Bears’ nine threes to knock off North Paulding. Makenzie provided harassing defense against Kenzie Hinkson, helping hold the star sophomore to 5-18 shooting and 8 turnovers. Offensively, Weaver’s lone three field goals came from beyond the arc but she shot 6-6 from the line as she finished with 15 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. Makenzie went the distance, playing all 36 minutes in the 72-60 overtime win.
2027 5-7 G Kalee Hinkson – North Paulding
The tough-as-nails guard fouled out late after a tremendous showing saw the softball star rack up 18 points on 7-15 shooting to pair with 3 assists and 9 steals. Hinkson is athletic, aggressive and active in the full court press. She swarms the ball and uses great timing and springy hops to pounce for steals and deflections. Her presence the full length of the floor is game-changing. Her mentality alone sets the tone for an attacking press.
2027 6-0 F Morgan Landrum – North Paulding
A walking triple-double threat, the pogo stick produced 13 points, 13 rebounds, 1 assist, 8 steals and 3 blocks before fouling out against Holy Innocents’. Landrum is an elite athlete. She plays above everyone else in a crowd with how she can elevate higher and quicker than anyone on the floor. Morgan snagged eight offensive boards doing so against a front line that features 6-foot-3 Loriel Murray and 6-foot-5 Aaniyah Branch who combined for 19 rebounds. Landrum’s production against the High Major front court is even more impressive considering she only played 20 minutes. As good as it gets in Georgia when it comes to defending in the full court and rebounding, Morgan already has an extremely high floor at the next level and her ceiling will continue to grow as her perimeter offense expands.
