2026 5-6 W Alyssia Bandele – Tri-Cities
I have been a fan of Alyssia’s for a while now. The 5-foot-6 senior can play any role asked of her. She has the versatility to play outside at guard but also boasts the physicality and toughness to serve as an undersized forward who won’t give up an inch against bigger players. Bandele battled against GAC’s intimidating frontline to record 16 points, 11 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals and 1 block. Alyssia’s strong frame is what helps set her apart. She is able to play through contact in different ways. On Saturday, Alyssia impressed with how she could penetrate and dump off bounce passes in traffic to her bigs for layups. When she called her own number, Bandele netted a corner three, scored on a drive, off a steal and on a putback. Even at her height Alyssia was effective drawing fouls in the paint, converting on 5-6 free throws. Bandele impresses me on and off the court. A high character kid, Alyssia holds a 4.5 GPA. I think she would be a great fit for NAIA and D-III programs looking for a winner who can slot in wherever needed on the floor and provide positive culture in the locker room.

2027 6-2 W Nakhai Worthy – Holy Innocents’
It was a special honor, yet bittersweet to see Munchie play in what was rumored to be her lone game of the season this year before cleaning and healing up her left knee. Worthy came off the bench at less than 100% percent to lead the Golden Bears in scoring with 17 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals in a 65-59 win over Milton. Nakhai quickly got to work in the second quarter with eight points. Throughout the game Munchie attacked off the dribble from the perimeter. She sank two mid-range jumpers, scored on a drive, got out in transition twice and converted an And-1 putback as she scored on six field goals and shot 5-11 from the foul line. Losing the four-star prospect hurts Holy Innocents’ chances at repeating as state champs this season but will set up a healthy Worthy for a monster senior season.

Head scratchingly underrecruited for my liking, Caroline Young is slowly starting to gain the credit and offers she deserves. Georgia College, Berry, Houghton and Young Harris have all offered over the past few months. If Young is able to play like she did against Holy Innocents’ throughout her senior season, I would not be shocked if a high academic D-I offer finally materialized for the 4.2 GPA student-athlete. Caroline came out of the gates firing against the Golden Bears, burying four three-pointers and a one-dribble pull-up from the mid-range. Her lone other field goal came off a steal, finishing with her left hand as she posted 18 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals with a perfect 2-2 from the foul line. When tracking a player over four years, the sign of a great prospect is their continued development. Caroline has never remained stagnant in her growth, always adding and strengthening areas of her game. She has become a legitimate perimeter threat with her jump shot all while maintaining her high motor, defensive versatility and toughness on the glass. Young’s consistency is a hallmark of her game.
2028 5-10 W Leah Pollack – North Oconee
Known for her nose for the ball, the reigning Class 4A Freshman of the Year had some bright moments against Marist as she tallied 10 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal. Leah is very good at working the wings and high post. She’s an immediate threat upon catching at the foul line due to her soft mid-range touch and quick first step. Leah works the pivot exceptionally well. She scored twice on step-through moves, finishing with both her left and right hand. Her first bucket of the day came on a post backdown, converting with her left hand. Leah is a nice prospect to keep track of. Expanding her range even deeper beyond the three-point line and improving her ability to guard one-on-one on an island against quickness are areas of her game I expect to get better and better as she fortifies her game.

2026 5-11 W Aaliyah Blanchard – Hoover
The Middle Tennessee State-signee thoroughly dominated the smaller Cherokee Warriors as Blanchard’s relentless sticktoitiveness resulted in 36 points and 13 rebounds as Aaliyah ate away at the offensive glass and in the process netted the 1,000th point of her career as Hoover pulled away late for a hard-fought 79-66 win. Aaliyah’s activity level was off the charts, battling inside for buckets while drawing foul after foul. Blanchard scored 11 points in the fourth quarter to break the game open. On the night, Aaliyah went 9-14 from the foul line. Blanchard scored all over the floor which made her so difficult to defend. While her work in the paint was punishing, Aaliyah also torched Cherokee with her shooting touch, sinking three threes and two mid-range jumpers.

The Young Harris-signee was steady throughout against Hoover, finishing with 16 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal. Lyla is a great rebounder for her size, especially good at crashing in for offensive rebounds. Against Hoover’s D-I frontcourt, Lyla found her points in different ways. She scored twice in transition by running the floor. Griffith scored on a pair of drives in the halfcourt along with two three-pointers and knocked down two free throws with 3:42 remaining to give the Warriors their last lead of the game at 64-62 before falling 79-66.

2026 5-8 W Sage Smiley – Cherokee
I love how hard Sage Smiley plays. The Piedmont-signee was in a fight for her life against Hoover, often times hooked up with 6-foot-4 Missouri-signee Khloe Ford inside as she tried to deny and front the post in Cherokee’s 2-3 zone. Sage was rugged and fearless as she banged all night against Ford and 5-foot-11 MTSU-signee Aaliyah Blanchard. For the most part Smiley was effective in denying easy entry passes inside, helping limit Ford to 12 points and 10 rebounds. Sage deflected passes, came away with steals and even blocked shots as she piled up 5 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 5 steals and 2 blocks. Smiley scored with her left-hand on a baseline out of bounds set and sank a top of the key three-pointer to showcase her offensive versatility. The long-standing unsung hero of Cherokee has become a major producer and an invaluable asset to the undersized, short-benched Warriors.
