2027 6-4 W Eric Thornton – Southwest DeKalb
A Second Team All-Region pick with Woodland-Stockbridge, Eric now slots into the Southwest DeKalb frontcourt. Thornton is a bouncy, high-energy forward who consistently plays bigger than his height with how hard he attacks the rim, both as a scorer and rebounder. Eric averaged 15.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2 assists and 1.7 steals per game as a junior. His three-point shot is slowly improving but not a major area of his game quite yet. His workhorse mentality separates him from most. Thornton thrives in high-pace settings. Southern Arkansas and Andrew have offered.
2028 6-7 F Laron Mack Jr. – Dutchtown
Mack moves in from Riviera Prep, FL and immediately becomes one of the better frontcourt players in Georgia. The four-star combo-forward is a mismatch with how he can score from all levels. He’s physical in the paint, explosive downhill attacking from the wing and high post and he boasts a soft shooting touch from the mid-range and three-point line. His versatility out of high ball screens puts him in advantageous positions. Washington and Florida State offered in 2025.
2028 6-1 PG AJ Doyley – Dutchtown
Stetson offered at the beginning of June. Doyley moves in from Milton and takes over the point guard position. AJ is most dangerous when he’s looking to score. He probes the defense, finding weak spots as he’s able to get to his spots for pull-ups and loosen the defense even further with step-back threes. His athleticism is highlighted with how he can finish off drives with slams. Doyley capped off his summer averaging 12.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 2.3 steals in Session 4 of the Nike EYBL circuit.
2029 5-11 PG Ashton Jones – Forest Park
Ashton Jones tallied 5.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.2 steals per game at Mays before following his father to Forest Park where he returns as head coach. Jones provides a high ceiling sharpshooter to the backcourt, coming off a freshman season in which he nailed 46% of his threes. A two-way impact maker, Ashton’s on-ball defense is infectious.
