Class AAAAAAA

Denmark 55, No. 7 Cherokee 54: A day before a big showdown with No. 4 Berkmar at the Jared Cook Classic, the Warriors were upended by the Danes. Alabama-Huntsville-signee Sutton Smith was masterful providing 21 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Joseph Scott added 10 points and 7 rebounds while Jayden Hilliman had 8 points and 6 rebounds. In the loss,  Taihland Owens collected 18 points and 5 rebounds. Xavier-signee Elijah Tucker had 16 points and 10 rebounds.

No. 9 North Gwinnett 74, No. 8 Newton 62: Dylan Gary led the Bulldogs with 19 points. Thomas Allard netted 18 and RJ Godfrey had 13 points and 8 rebounds. Alabama-Huntsville-signee Brendan Rigsbee had 11 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Newton was led by TJ Clark (20 points), Jakai Newton (19 points, 6 rebounds) and Stephon Castle (12 points).

No. 10 Etowah 56, Centennial 49: The young Eagles showed their mettle, erasing a 12-point deficit to win at the Wolverine Thanksgiving Classic. Mason Etter posted 22 points, 8 rebounds and 3 steals followed by Brandon Rechsteiner’s 14 points, 8 assists and 3 steals. Jonah Milton scored 10 points. Josh Hughes added 4 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists. Dajaun Devonish contributed 4 points, 5 assists and 4 steals.

Peachtree Ridge 61, 6ANo. 8 South Cobb 58: At the Jared Cook Classic, Chris Green posted 20 points and 9 rebounds while Jairus Griffin scored 18 points and Deterrius Clayton pitched in 13 points and 5 rebounds. South Cobb got 17 points and 6 assists from Travis Burrus. Baqi Lecky had 12 points and RJ Dix totaled 11 points and 13 rebounds. Jens Rueckert added 10 points and 6 rebounds.

Duluth 65, Mt. Bethel 54: Zailan Blue erupted for 25 points followed by Tristan Johnson’ 13 and Will Peaks’ 10.

North Paulding 58, Murray County 53: Griffin Cherry scored 22 points and Trey Harris had 16 in the win. Daylen Thrower added 12 points.

Discovery 83, Clarke Central 48: Ian Davis had 17 points to pace the Titans. Mikey Moncrease added 16 and Daveion Teague-Parham netted 14.

Walton 63, Grady 41: Kyle Hanson scored 19 to lead Grady.

Archer 80, Lambert 62: The Tigers assisted on 24 of their 33 baskets at the Jared Cook Classic.  Christian Drummer had 20 points and 7 rebounds while Damoni Harrison tacked on 14 points and 8 rebounds. Jaylen Magby scored 11 points and Mekhi Carter had 10 along with Major Freeman. Lambert was led by Paul Lunguana’s 19 points and 11 rebounds. Mason Barnes scored 18 points while Luke Parris added 16.

Roswell 62, Cambridge 48: Jase McCullough (18), Jackson Kemp (13), Mason Kemp (13) and Jordan Wicker (11) led a deep attack.

Class AAAAAA

No. 4 Buford 72, Brookwood 52: Jaylon Taylor had 26 points and 6 rebounds in the win. Alahn Sumler added 18 points and 5 rebounds while London Williams tallied 12 points and 6 rebounds.

No. 5 Heritage-Conyers 79, Creekview 66: Ole Miss-signee James White dumped in 33 points and 11 rebounds. Elon-signee RJ Noord added 25 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Dash Boston tacked on 10 points and 5 assists while Chase Lackey had 4 points and 14 reobunds. Daniel Collis hit 6 threes en route to 19 points for Creekview.

No. 7 Allatoona 59, 5ANo. 8 Cass 50:  Isaiah Logan scored 22 points to pace the Buccaneers. Andrew Glaze hit 5 threes en route to 15 points but the Colonels couldn’t knock off Allatoona at the Wolverine Thanksgiving Classic. Zaylan Chaney had 11 points and CJ Pipkin scored 10 in the loss.

Paulding County 79, North Cobb Christian 77: The Patriots survived behind Kervens Yacinthe’s 25 points, 7 rebounds and 2 steals. Javonne Williams had 15 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Tristan Whitener scored 14. Elijah Fisher chipped in 9 points while Caleb Coursey had 8 points and 7 rebounds.

Winder-Barrow 77, Alpharetta 53: The Bulldoggs advanced to the Tabo’s TOC Championship behind Isaiah Nelson-Ododa’s 25 points, 11 rebounds and 5 blocks. Wyatt Fricks had 18 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 blocks. Tim Loud added 14 points and 5 rebounds.

Dacula 53, Eastside 35: Lamariyon Jordan (17), Gabe Omoregie (10) and Taevon Lewis (7) carried the Falcons.

Starr’s Mill 79, Monsignor Donovan Catholic 41: Elliot Baker drilled 7 threes en route to 23 points.

East Hall 52, Apalachee 37: Christian Torres went for 27 points, 11 rebounds, 2 steals and 4 blocks. Deondre Langston added 7 points, 4 rebounds and 2 steals. Imre Earls had 6 points, 5 assists and 2 steals.

No. 4 Hart County 77, North Hall 30: Emmanuel-commit Shone Webb scored 26 points.

No. 9 GAC 62, A-PrivateNo. 9 Trinity Christian 52: Josh Fulton (19) and Lamarr Randolph (18) powered the Spartans. Chad Jackson and Dominic Cooks scored 8 and 7 points, respectively. Trinity Christian was led by Sami Pissis’ 20 points. Isaac Brito recorded 15 points and 14 rebounds. Michael Morge scored 9 points.

No. 3 Mt. Pisgah 75, South Forsyth 57: IPFW-signee JoJo Peterson had 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. MJ Winter added 14 points and 4 assists while Nate Gordon grabbed 12 rebounds. Brandon Stoudamire led South Forsyth with 15 points. Ethan Underwood added 11. Wes Kane had 10 points and 9 rebounds.

No. 2 Collins Hill 52, No. 1 McEachern 51: A three at the buzzer from half court erupted the McEachern bench but Delaware State-signee Sianny Sanchez-Oliver’s shot was well after the horn meaning Old Dominion-signee Eden Sample’s free throw with 1.2 seconds left was the game winner. Sample was fouled on the opposite end of the floor on a rebound, sending her to the line where she would deliver the dagger. Sample finished with 11 points and 5 rebounds, but the Collins Hill guards struggled against McEachern’s pressure throughout the game as the Indians forced three 5-second closely guarded violations. The Eagles slowly extended their lead throughout the game at the Parkview TOC, leading 10-9 after one, 27-25 at the half and 41-37 after three. Freshman Paris Fillingame gave the Eagles a boost with 8 points. Kyra Jefferson added 8 as well. Purdue-signee Sacha Washington tallied 10 points, 14 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 steals and 4 blocks while battling UGA-signee Jillian Hollingshead inside. The 6-foot-5 forward scored 12 of her team-high 15 points in the second half including 8 in the fourth quarter, 6 points coming via the three ball. She had a late look to win the game, but her miss landed in the hands of Sample who was accidently fouled and subsequently would win the game from the line. Caelan Ellis hit 3 threes and finished with 13 points. Denim DeShields had 10 of her 11 points in the third quarter and tacked on 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals.

No. 3 Woodstock 56, Douglass 42: Bridget Utberg piled in 26 points to defeat the two-time defending Class 2A champs. Karson Martin pitched in 15 points.

No. 5 Archer 43, Dacula 32: Taniya McGowan netted a game-high 20 points. Cazia Nelson and Thailand Smith scored 8 points apiece, Smith adding 3 blocks. Dacula was held to eight second half points. Lazaria Spearman collected 15 points and 10 rebounds. Mekera Standridge scored 9 points.

No. 6 Cherokee 62, Rome 47: Furman-signee Kate Johnson finished with 19 points at the GetMickey Raider Classic. Haylee Donley and Karoline Karl scored 11 apiece.

No. 7 Grayson 56, 4ANo. 4 Luella 54: Catherine Alben broke out with 21 points, 2 assists and 4 steals in the win. Tylia Kemp scored 11 points and South Alabama-signee Nadia Howard pitched in 10 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists. In the loss, Cam Berry scored 16 points and Furman-signee Jada Session double-doubled with 12 points, 15 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocks. Ari Dyson collected 10 points and 11 rebounds. Cortney Gardner finished with 9 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists.

Parkview 63, 2ANo. 4 Josey 41: Parkview impressed in the nightcap of their Tip-Off Classic, leading wire-to-wire against Josey. Samford-signee Sussy Ngulefac went to the bench at the 1:55 mark of the first quarter with Parkview up 5-2. When she returned in the third quarter, the Panthers had built a commanding 31-13 lead. Birmingham-Southern-signee Lilly Hart hit 4 threes en route to 18 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steal. Nadya McCown had 12 point, 8 rebounds and 4 steals while Ngluefac finished with 12 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 1 block. Joze Baker provided scrappy play at the point, tacking on 7 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal. Mayah Watson-Casimir had 9 points, 4 rebounds and 5 steals. Josey trimmed the lead to 35-25 midway through the third quarter before Parkview ripped off a 15-2 run to put the game away early in the fourth quarter. The Eagles were led by Deajah Houck’s 10 points. Arieonna Booker and JaCayla Shorty scored 6 points apiece while Ky’Shonna Brown was held to 2 points and 3 rebounds.

South Forsyth 60, Lassiter 31: Clara Morris netted 15 points followed by Sharon Tolliver’s 13. Ava McGlockton (9) and Maggie Thompson (7) balanced the offense.

Walton 55, Grady 35: Lexy Harris scored 20 points followed by Anna Conza’s 16.

Class AAAAAA

No. 1 Westlake 76, Harrison 35: The three-time defending state champs throttled Harrison at the Parkview TOC. The Lions jumped out to a 14-0 lead and led 33-7 after one, thriving in transition. Ta’Niya Latson finished with 19 points, 1 rebound, 4 assists and 1 steal. Virginia Tech-commit Brianna Turnage tallied 15 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocks while South Carolina-signee Raven Johnson had 12 points, 3 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals. Harrison was led by Anna Gernatt and Emily Acampora’s 8 points apiece.

No. 2 Buford 53, Lumpkin County 40: Lumpkin County was led by North Georgia-signee Isabel Davenport’s 16 points and Madison Powell’s 13.

No. 4 Langston Hughes 49, 4ANo. 1 Troup County 43: Troup County failed to establish their frontcourt in a loss at the Parkview TOC. Aniya Palmer was held in check, finishing with 12 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 2 blocks. Alexcia Murphy scored all 7 of her points in the second half to pair with her 12 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 block. Monyia Murphy and Jada Green scored 8 apiece in the loss. Ta’Mia Stargell and Autumn Phillips controlled the action for the Panthers. Both scored 11 points with Stargell collecting 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal and 4 blocks while Phillips tagged on 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. Raven Thompson added 9 points, 7 rebounds and 3 steals. Tianna Dismuke had 6 points and 8 rebounds. Damesha Cain sank two threes.

Creekview 59, South Gwinnett 33: Mackenzi Salas netted 10 points to lead a deep attack. Chloe Williams and Abby Martin scored 9 apiece while Kenzie Brown pitched in 8 points.

Houston County 47, Veterans 41: Jordyn Johnson had 16 points and 4 steals while Marquia White double-doubled with 11 points and 11 rebounds in the win.

Pope 50, Sandy Creek 49: Cheyenne Holloman had 23 points while Katie Ward netted 20 at the Marietta Thanksgiving Tournament.

No. 9 Sequoyah 66, No. 6 Sprayberry 41: Without Anna Vereen, out with a broken finger, the Yellowjackets were trounced by Sequoyah. The Chiefs held Flau’jae Johnson to 8 points. Elle Blatchford finished with 15 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Deja Rakestraw (University of Charleston) scored 12 points. Susanna Rogers tallied 10 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals.

No. 8 New Manchester 57, North Clayton 48: Kamryn Bates led the Jaguars with 18 points, 6 assists and 2 steals while India Johnson netted 12 points. Kharyssa Richardson tallied 11 points, 6 rebounds and 7 blocks. Hannah Wright had 7 points, 2 rebounds and 4 assists.

St. Pius X 58, Cristo Rey 22: Kate McBride and Natalie Mohr scored 10 apiece while Georgie Dooley and Alex Schiavo each pitched in 9 points.

No. 2 Jefferson 84, Franklin County 50: North Georgia-signee Livi Blackstock exploded for 30 points. Courtney Kidd sank 7 threes to finish with 25 points. Ellie Kinlaw scored 15 points as the Dragons drilled 15 threes.

North Oconee 50, Clarke Central 22: Maddy Dickens and Callie Jackson scored 11 apiece. Haley Toci handed out 4 assists.

Central-Carrollton 44, Bowdon 38: Rachel Wilson posted 12 points and 12 rebounds in the road win. Izzy Ripatti had 10 points and 5 steals. Zoey Haberland added 10 points.

No. 10 Coahulla Creek 62, Signal Mountain (TN) 47: Jillian Poe went for 22 points to lead the Colts. Shorter-signee Katelyn Richards netted 13 points while Kenley Woods added 11.

Oconee County 40, Athens Academy 35: Jaila Salley scored 20 in the loss.

North Murray 38, Soddy Daisy (TN) 26: Aubri Blankenship scored 12 points followed by Tenley Gladson’s 10.

Hart County 56, North Hall 48: Taniya Alexander posted 16 points.

Central-Macon 55, First Presbyterian Day 47: Freshman Taliah Grier went for 16 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. TaNiya Pryor had 15 points and 8 steals. McKenzie Evans recorded a double-double with 14 points, 10 rebounds and 2 blocks.

Dawson County 74, South Atlanta 47: Madison Anglin scored 21 points while Kirklyn Porter chipped in 18.  Mariah Benson added 8 points in the win at the GetMickey Raider Classic.

No. 1 Hebron Christian 61, Newton 57: Hebron Christian survived a scare from freshman Sanaa Tripp and the Rams at the Parkview TOC. Tripp scored 25 in the loss. Hebron was powered by Rice-signee Malia Fisher’s 18 points and 10 rebounds. Samford-signees Carly Heidger (16 points, 8 rebounds) and Nicole Azar (9 points) balanced the offense. Jessie Parish added 11 points and 9 rebounds.

No. 3 Mt. Paran 58, Paideia 26: Kara Dunn outscored the Pythons with 28 points to go along with her 5 assists and 2 steals. Katelyn Dunning added 13 points, 8 assists and 5 steals.

No. 6 Wesleyan 66, Banks County 36: Georgia State-signee Alyssa Phillip hung 22 points and 14 rebounds. Freshman Eva Garabadian added 19 points and 4 steals. Imani Washington tallied 8 points, 10 rebounds and 6 steals. Freshman Chit Chat Wright had 12 points and 7 assists. Banks County saw Jacy Ayers score 16 points and Kalyn Beasley add 5.

No. 10 Calvary Day 80, South Effingham 34: Hannah Cail pumped in 33 points while Tynley Smeltzer double-doubled with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Nevaeh Hamilton netted 13 points.

North Cobb Christian 71, Paulding County 53: 5-foot-10 sophomore Brooke Moore collected her second straight triple-double, tallying 21 points, 10 rebounds and 10 blocks. Lauryn Towns had 18 points, 3 assists and 4 steals while Ava Gardner double-doubled with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Lea Brasington had 10 points and 4 rebounds. Freshman Gaby LoPresti added 7 points, 4 assists and 3 steals.

 Trion 66, Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe 35: Chloe Murdock dumped in 34 points to lead the Bulldogs. Jenna Mosley added 12 points.
