No. 1 Grayson 71, Gainesville 57: Charleston Southern-signee Taje Kelly posted 16 points and 7 rebounds while Clemson-bound big Ian Schieffelin added 12 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Tyrese Elliott had 16 points and 6 assists.

No. 4 Berkmar 75, Cedar Shoals 39: Dara Olonade had 14 points while Jermahri Hill and Destin Logan scored 13 apiece. Jameel Rideout had 11 points. Malique Ewin tallied 8 points and 12 rebounds. Cedar Shoals was led by Kashik Brown’s 12 points and 3 assists. Roger Walker had 7 points and 7 rebounds.

No. 8 Cherokee 83, Sequoyah 57: The Warriors pounded Sequoyah behind Xavier-signee Elijah Tucker’s 23 points. Ethan Pickett and DJ Potts-Heard scored 13 apiece. Taihland Owens settled for 10 points.

Mill Creek 66, Lambert 60: Jonathan Taylor and Nick Jacobs scored 17 apiece for the Hawks. Lambert was led by Mason Barnes’ 24 points. James Tyre scored 14 points and Paul Lunguana tacked on 11 points and 13 rebounds.

Brookwood 70, Rockdale County 62: Morehead State-signee Chris Cole netted 26 points. Donovan Gray scored 17 and Ethan Howell had 12.

South Forsyth 46, Woodstock 43: Brandon Stoudamire scored 15 points.

Walton 76, Sprayberry 61: Luka Avaliani (24), Luke Flynn (21) and Dylan Pumpian (19) powered the Raiders.

Etowah 55, North Cobb 32: The Eagles sank 12 threes. Brandon Rechsteiner had 20 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Jonah Hamilton netted 15 points and 5 threes. Brock Rechsteiner had 8 points, 8 rebounds and 7 blocks. Josh Hughes grabbed 15 boards.

Class AAAAAA

No. 2 Kell 79, Allatoona 64: Scoot Henderson had 23 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. Jaylen Harris chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds while Aaron Smith double-doubled with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Najhae Colon collected 12 points, 7 assists and 3 steals. PJ Johnson had 9 points, 5 rebounds and 3 blocks.

No. 4 Lanier 87, Dawson County 67: Freshman Boogie Morgan scored 16 points. Justin Birch (14), James Madison-signee Andrew McConnell (12), Makai Vassell (12) and Iajah Phillips (11) led another deep scoring attack.

No. 9 Winder-Barrow 69, Mountain View 53: Tim Loud scored 18 points. Former Bear Wyatt Fricks posted 17 points and 10 rebounds against his old team. Isaiah Nelson-Ododa tacked on 15 points, 10 rebounds and 7 blocks. Stewart Allen had 10 points and 5 rebounds. Ahmad Scott dished out 6 assists. In the loss Chance Boothe scored 13, Javon Jordan 11 and Janjay Sharpe 9.

Pope 70, Osborne 66: Will Kolker put on a show with 34 points and 8 assists. Zach Marinko had 15 points and 9 rebounds. Jack Dempsey added 8 points and 10 rebounds while Cam Bleshoy tacked on 9 points and 9 rebounds.

Creekview 73, Cambridge 47: Umar Rashid double-doubled with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Daniel Collis netted 16 points and Jayden Cox-Young scored 13.

Northside-Warner Robins 78, West Laurens 50: Tre Grane erupted for 35 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Jordan Brown finished with 15 points, 12 rebounds and 9 blocks. Duke McClinton scored 11 points.

East Paulding 71, Woodland-Cartersville 39: Sebastian Tidor scored 18 points. Voorhees-commit Kristian Ford scored 14 points and Jamal Francois had 10. Spencer Hallead added 9.

Class AAAAA

No. 3 Veterans 71, Houston County 55: TJ Grant scored 22 points followed by DeAngelo Hines’ 19 and Tajh Williams’ 10.

Hiram 50, 6ANo. 6 Douglas County 44: Jaylen Perry (11), Justice Devone (10) and Jermicheal Mahorn (8) couldn’t avoid being upset by the Hornets.

No. 10 Forest Park 55, A-PrivateNo. 7 Holy Innocents’ 51 OT: Holy Innocents’ was led by Landon Kardian’s 19 points, 13 rebounds and 2 blocks. Garrison Powell added 16 points and 3 steals.

Jackson County 67, East Hall 58 OT: Charleston Southern-signee Kalib Clinton fouled out with 2:12 remaining in the fourth quarter but still managed to record a triple-double with 26 points, 12 rebounds and 13 blocks. Max Brown added 12 points.

Jones County 64, Union Grove 52: Jaylen Sanford tallied 17 points, 7 rebounds and 3 steals. Matt Wold had 15 points and 4 steals. Nygel Warren chipped in 12 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocks. Chaydon Stone finished with 12 points and 8 assists.

Mundy’s Mill 63, Grady 59 OT: Christian Welcher (14), Bryson Ogletree (12), Noricco Danner (11) and Marcos East (9) powered the Tigers. Grady was led by Kyle Hanson’s 16 points. Autrey Barnes netted 14 and Joseph Scott 13.

Harris County 72, Northgate 37: Marcus Dumas (17), CJ Cameron (11) and Shay Broome (11) led the Tigers.

Creekside 61, Morrow 60: PJ Murray had 30 points and 7 rebounds.

No. 5 Fayette County 83, McDonough 80: Kaleb Banks’ rampage continued, pouring in 27 points and 12 rebounds. Terry Brown totaled 25 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. RJ Kennedy added 11 points.

Lanett (AL) 73, Troup County 67 OT: In the loss KJ Tucker recorded 27 points and 6 rebounds. Ricardo Person tallied 14 points and 7 boards.

Class AAA

No. 1 Sandy Creek 76, 7ANo. 3 Milton 73: Auburn-signee Jabari Smith was the X-Factor with 36 points. In the loss, Campbell-signee Broc Bidwell scored 21 points. Ohio State-commit Bruce Thornton had 20 points and 4 assists. Kanaan Carlyle added 19 points and 4 assists.

No. 4 Hart County 48, A-PrivateNo. 4 Providence Christian 45: Emmanuel-commit Shone Webb went for 23 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocks. JC Curry contributed 11 points and 7 rebounds.

No. 6 Upson-Lee 67, Pike County 34: Still waiting on football players to return, Upson-Lee captured their first win of the season behind Marcus Slaton’s 20 points.

No. 8 GAC 53, Marist 36: Lamarr Randolph had 23 points and 4 rebounds. Josh Fulton added 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Kaosi Chijioke had 7 boards.

Cross Creek 71, Josey 34: Antoine Lorick scored 21 points and Richard Visitacion added 13.

Peach County 74, Mary Persons 52: In the loss Alex Brown had 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 steals. Antonio Palmer tallied 11 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 blocks. Kham Little scored 12 points.

Stephens County 80, Rabun County 53: Kenny Colwell buried 8 threes en route to 26 points. Tyrece Mackie scored 18 and Corey Riche (12) and Javian Hightower (10) each cracked double figures.

Jackson 45, Crisp County 41: Cameron Edwards had 22 points and 10+ rebounds. Tarik White scored 9 points and grabbed 10+ rebounds.

Class AA

No. 7 Woodville-Tompkins 53, Beach 48: Zion Powers scored 15 points to pace the Wolverines. Luka Platauna had 12 and Larry Chapman scored 10. Wes Walker added 8 points.

No. 9 Banks County 68, Commerce 56: Commerce got 19 points from Collin Veal and 17 from Jackson Morris.

Fitzgerald 64, Dodge County 63: In the loss Myshean Williams scored 19 points. Jaedon McClendon had 15 and Caleb Singletary scored 10. Heaven Carson added 9.

Class A-Private

No. 3 Mt. Pisgah 79, King’s Ridge 51: Chase Tucker drilled 8 threes en route to 24 points.  Isaac Martin led King’s Ridge with 13 points all in the fourth quarter.

No. 5 Galloway 87, Notre Dame Academy 24: Anthony Arrington hung 30 points, 13 rebounds and 4 steals in the season-opener. Bradley Banner sank 6 threes en route to 18 points. Quentin Alterman collected 15 points, 7 assists and 3 steals. Sam Benz had 10 points and 2 steals.

No. 8 Trinity Christian 56, Landmark Christian 53: Isaac Brito had 20 points and 12 rebounds while Jackson Barnes tallied 19 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists against his old team. Michael Morge had 8 points and Sami Pissis tallied 7 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists.

No. 9 Hebron Christian 76, The King’s Academy 45: Scott Gabel scored 22 points while Jayden Williams added 15 points and 11 rebounds. Zach Calvert netted 8 points.

Walker 68, No. 10 Mt. Vernon Presbyterian 50: In the loss, Keith Williams and AJ Patterson scored 12 apiece. Dylan Holbrook (11) and Syncere Harris (9) helped out offensively.

Lakeview Academy 53, Mt. Bethel 51: Ben Montgomery (19), Isaac Marcero (11) and Conley Millwood (10) balanced the Lions in Coach Tyler Sander’s first win on the job.

Pinecrest Academy 65, Fellowship Christian 54: Oscar Lynch exploded for 42 points, 17 rebounds and 3 assists. Carter Kling added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Pat Flanigan gathered 5 points and 5 rebounds.

Tallulah Falls 60, Bethlehem Christian 38: Gabe Keene scored 12 points.

North Cobb Christian 68, Furtah Prep 58: Tremain Davis hit 7 threes en route to 28 points. Jack Hewitt scored 21 and CJ Wallace netted 9.

Class A-Public

No. 3 Drew Charter 112, BEST Academy 54: Ja’Quez Thornton poured in 41 points. JaKobe Strozier scored 21.

Social Circle 53, Apalachee 50: Social Circle rallied from down 9 to start the fourth to defeat Apalachee. AJ Vinson drilled a three at the buzzer to win. Tyrhell Branch netted 33 points.

 

GIRLS

Class AAAAAAA

No. 2 McEachern 61, No. 10 Marietta 59: The Blue Devils led 35-26 at the half before trailing 46-40 after three. Marietta had a chance to tie from the foul line with 1.5 seconds left but went 1-3 from the line. UGA-signee Jillian Hollingshead led McEachern with 16 points. Delaware State-signee Sianny Sanchez-Oliver had 15. Indiana State-signee Denim DeShields (14) and Caelan Ellis (10) balanced the attack. Michigan State-signee Lauren Walker netted 24 points while Chloe Sterling had 18 in the loss.

No. 3 Woodstock 74, South Forsyth 46: Bridget Utberg went off for a career-high 38 points. Karson Martin netted 20 points.

No. 4 Cherokee 63, 6ANo. 7 Sequoyah 58: The Lady Warriors saw Furman-signee Kate Johnson dominate inside with 29 points. Lilly Griffith scored 7 points. Keimarya Rivera and Presli Clark had 6 apiece. Sequoyah was led by A’ryn Jackson’s 19 points, 6 rebounds and 3 steals. Elle Blatchford added 12 points, 3 rebounds and 6 assists. University of Charleston-signee Deja Rakestraw had 11 points and 6 rebounds.

No. 7 Archer 49, Newton 41: Cazia Nelson had a game-high 16 points and 3 assists. Taniya McGowan had 12 points, 6 rebounds and 2 blocks. Thailand Smith contributed 8 points, 8 rebounds and 2 blocks. Newton was led by freshman phenom Sanaa Tripp’s 13 points. Fellow freshman Tre’Miyah Berry netted 12.

North Forsyth 51, 3ANo. 7 Lumpkin County 49: North Forsyth rallied from double double-digits at the half. Anna Gliatta netted 19 points to pace the comeback. Ali Jones had 9. Freshman Averie Jones scored 20 points in the loss. North Georgia-signee Isabel Davenport and Lexi Pierce scored 7 points apiece.
Etowah 42, North Cobb 39: Ally Zazzara scored 19 points on 5 threes. Becca Archer scored 12 points. In the loss Dayuna Colvin posted 19 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 9 steals and 3 blocks.

Class AAAAAA

No. 4 Kell 83, Allatoona 27: Crystal Henderson poured in 30 points. Amaya Moss had 15 points, 8 rebounds, 5 steals and 2 blocks. Makayah Favors tacked on 11 points.

No. 9 Rockdale County 60, Brookwood 50: In the loss, Diana Collins had 18 points and 5 assists followed by Ciara Hall’s 14 points. Madison Boadu collected 10 rebounds.

No. 10 Cambridge 46, Creekview 38: Creekview was led by Mackenzi Salas (9) and Delia Guy (8).

Johns Creek 69, Shiloh 49: Paris Miller and Nylah Nuri scored 20 apiece. Evelina Davlakou pitched in 16.

River Ridge 55, Blessed Trinity 22: Mataya Gayle scored 12 points. Caroline Cavallaro, Emily Paulson and Simone Goins all scored 10 points. Allie Sweet added 9.

Class AAAAA

Stockbridge 83, Salem 25: Freshman sensation Carrington Wilson poured in 41 points, 6 rebounds and 9 steals. Amari Jackson chipped in 19 points and 6 rebounds. Jaidyn Chestnut-Hill added 14 points, 8 rebounds and 2 blocks.
Harris County 60, Northgate 24: Ayanna Johnson had 14 points and 8 rebounds. Sydney Stewart added 13 points and 5 steals while Brooke Bass had 11 points and 6 steals. Jherni Carter collected 9 points and 9 rebounds.

Class AAAA

No. 3 Luella 53, Mt. Zion-Jonesboro 44: Cortney Gardner had 17 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. Furman-signee Jada Session collected 14 points and 10 rebounds. Breyell Mobley had 6 points and 6 rebounds.

Chestatee 73, Johnson-Gainesville 20: Emmanuel-signee Emma Easterwood paced the War Eagles with 17 points. Annie Dollyhigh netted 4 threes for 12 points and freshman Riley Black scored 11 points.

East Hall 72, Jackson County 46: Audrey Griffin piled in 24 points. Callie Dale scored 15 and Alexis Burce had 13.

Upson-Lee 57, Pike County 42: Tyla Zeller scored 18 points to pace the Knights.

Dawson County 63, Lanier 30: Madison Anglin dumped in 21 points. Abby Slaton (14) and Mariah Benson (9) pitched in.

Cherokee Bluff 41, East Jackson 37: Ella Freeman had 9 points and 8 rebounds while Timber Gaither added 9 points and 5 rebounds. Alexis Mize tallied 8 points and 6 rebounds. Taylor Click pitched in 6 points and 5 assists.

Class AA

No. 3 Rabun County 65, 3ANo. 6 Stephens County 55: Freshman Lucy Hood came up big with 18 points and 5 rebounds. Gracie Deetz scored 15 and Carley Haban added 10 points and 6 rebounds. Freshman Ellie Southards had 8points and 8 rebounds.

Dodge County 57, Fitzgerald 36: ILeasha Mitchell (12), Sanaa Searles (11), Ambria Simmons (10) and Alteria Gooch (8) paced the Squaws.

Toombs County 38, Portal 35: Amya Bullard double-doubled with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Kay Mobley scored 10.

Banks County 48, Commerce 44: Jenna Reeves (13), Jacy Ayers (11) and Kamryn Grier (11) reached double figures for the Lady Leopards.

Temple 51, South Paulding 29: Jayda Smith (17), Esther Jacobson (13) and Indya Price (8) led Temple.

No. 6 Wesleyan 77, Mt. Pisgah 22: Freshman Chit Chat Wright had 20 points, 9 assists and 5 steals. Sade Ojanuga posted 15 points and 10 rebounds while Georgia State-signee Alyssa Phillip collected 13 points and 9 rebounds. Freshman Eva Garabadian had 11 points and 5 rebounds while Imani Washington tallied 10 points and 8 rebounds.

North Cobb Christian 63, Furtah Prep 20: Lauryn Towns (15), Brooke Moore (12), Gaby LoPresti (8) and Ava Gardner (8) balanced the attack.

Tallulah Falls 72, Bethlehem Christian 21: Katy Corbett scored 15 points while Molly Mitchell and Kailyn Neal scored 11 apiece.
