GBCA Live Frontcourt Top Performers

LJ Moore2024 6-6 W LJ Moore – Pace Academy
LJ Moore is a dog inside. A true warrior that takes no possessions off. Moore is a hard-nosed rebounder that will carry on the toughness left behind by Josh Reed (Cincinnati). LJ outmuscles opponents and rips down rebounds in traffic. Moore scores on putbacks but also can hit the mid-range jumper and is a sneaky good slasher that knows how to finish. Moore brought his hard-hat on defense against Jonesboro, collecting 10 points, 13 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 3 blocks. His physicality set the tone.

2023 6-7 W Kenan Orlovic – Paideia
North Georgia and Young Harris were in to check out Kenan Orlovic. The 6-foot-7 wing is an interesting prospect with a good skill set. He’s a steady three-point shooter that can pull-up off the dribble. With his size and high release, it can be difficult to contest his shot. Orlovic handles the ball well for his size and is mobile enough to go coast-to-coast. He had 12 points, 9 rebounds, 1 steal and 2 blocks. Orlovic holds value as both a wing and a stretch-four at the next level.

Bryce Pittman2023 6-3 W Bryce Pittman – Habersham Central
Air Force called to check in on Bryce Pittman following his 14 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 steals against Monroe Area. Pittman is in line for a big year after seeing a productive 2022 class graduate and mid-season transfers move out to Lanier. Pittman is a strong athlete that likes to get to the basket. The lefty is a physical driver that can absorb contact downhill. While the three-point shot isn’t his forte, Pittman shoots it just well enough from the mid-range to keep defenses from sagging off. He had a robust week averaging 15 points per game.

2025 6-5 F Brendan Tousignaut – Sequoyah
D-I coaches started to murmur during Brendan Tousignaut’s loud first half vs. Marist. I liked Tousinaut back in early May, and now it’s safe to say others do too. Brendan will make waves his debut season with the varsity. He’s a smooth inside-out combo-forward that plays at his own pace. Tousignaut had some wow moments in the Blue Division Championship. He showcased his scoring touch and skilled footwork. He scored on a reverse layup, netted a three, scored downhill with his left hand and used a pretty up-and-under step through to float in a hoop. Tousignaut tallied 13 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal in the win. Brendan is shaping up to be a major mismatch with his efficient old school offensive arsenal.

Marvin McGhee2023 6-6 W Marvin McGhee – Alexander
Another wildly impressive Cougar, Marvin McGhee did it all vs. King’s Ridge. At 6-foot-6, McGhee has terrific length. He was effective on the backboards and provided versatility on defense. Marvin was lights out from deep, hitting three long balls and scoring off the dribble with his jumper. He poured in 21 points, 10 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals. He’s an interesting long-term piece to track closely.

Braedan Lue2024 6-7 F Braedan Lue – Alexander
The man-child was a bully with 13 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 1 block. Lue didn’t just muscle has man around the basket, he showed a much-improved array of offensive skills. Lue looked great handling the ball up top and turning corners to get downhill. He could take his man off the dribble and finish through traffic with ease. Lue even created for pull-up jumpers and of course showcased skilled footwork with his back to the basket. Braedan looks capable of playing college minutes right now. Kennesaw State offered him after his performance against King’s Ridge. I expect plenty of Mid-Major schools to jump in with High Majors keeping tabs.

2023 6-4 W Jack Thomas – King’s Ridge
Jack Thomas came to play against Alexander. A tough matchup against length and athleticism across the board, Thomas answered the bell with some bounce of his own. Jack had a break away dunk and was great on the glass. The deceptive athlete scored at all three levels. He netted three threes and scored inside. The lefty tallied 21 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal. Thomas is a sleeper with translatable tools.

2023 6-7 F Chad Moodie – Grayson
Chad Moodie has really embraced the role of rim protector. He has added muscle and overall weight over the course of his career and has established himself as a difference maker inside. Moodie had 7 points, 5 rebounds and 5 blocks in a 43-29 win over Westside-Augusta, completely shutting down the Patriots as they scored just three baskets in the paint. Moodie still flashes a smooth offensive game, able to drive and score on the low block, but his defense has really taken off. He defends equally as well on the perimeter as he does in the paint. His switchabilty on defense will pay dividends in college.

2024 6-8 F Jayce Nathaniel – Lanier
Appalachian State and Kennesaw State are the latest to offer Jayce Nathaniel. His projectable frame and mobility are hard to pass up. He has added muscle each year and still looks like he can get bigger. Nathaniel has a wide offensive game. He can bang inside and score with hooks, but has grown his range each season, now able to shoot from the perimeter off the dribble and can attack downhill with a finesse floater. Jayce has stretch-four potential but won’t be a forward that you have to worry about only wanting to hang on the three-point line. He totaled 11 points, 4 rebounds and 2 steals in Game 1 of GBCA Live.

2023 6-6 F Osmar Garcia-Araujo – Lanier
Well-traveled, Osmar Garcia-Araujo will finish his career at Lanier after moving into Habersham Central mid-season last year coming from Riviera Prep in Florida. Osmar has a grown man game and a grown man body. When he posts up, there is little that most can do to keep him from getting prime real estate. While he doesn’t play above the rim as consistently as others, Garcia-Araujo is a physical finisher that knows how to negate shot blockers and score through the chest of defenders. Osmar can serve as point-forward with his tremendous passing. He’s a great outlet passer and can handle the ball and distribute downhill. Garcia-Araujo tacked on 10 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals and 1 block in a 47-42 win over Miller Grove. He’s a D-I level prospect.

Seydina N'diaye2023 6-4 PF Seydina N’diaye – Miller Grove
Seydina first grabbed my attention at the RYZE Live Showcase I in early May. He’s an extremely hard worker in the paint that plays bigger than his size. N’diaye has a strong motor. He sniffs out rebounds and gets in position to class the glass. He can take over games with his offensive rebounding. Seydina hit a step-back jumper against Lanier, a new weapon. Hitting mid-range jumpers will allow him to be more than a garbage guy on offense. N’diaye finished with 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 steals battling Lanier’s larger frontline.

Mason Etter2023 6-4 W Mason Etter – Etowah
While Brandon Rechsteiner and Chase Clemmons get the headlines, Mason Etter could be most important to the Eagles. He has developed into a consistent scorer. It’s not the fact that he can put the ball in the basket in a variety of ways that makes him special but it’s his efficiency in which he scores. Etter is a high percentage shooter that knocks down threes, mid-range pull-ups and floaters. He sank three threes against Columbia, netting a game-high 20 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 block. Etter’s high IQ and willingness to do the little things give him a high floor at the next level.

2023 6-2 W Cameron Foster-Martez – Lovett
Small schools are starting to see the value in Cameron Foster-Martez. He’s built like a rock, an intimidatingly strong perimeter player that guards both inside and out. He can swallow up smaller guards with his strength and quickness. Cameron can switch onto big men without an issue. He’s a Swiss Army Knife on defense and a blossoming offensive threat. Foster-Martez can hit the corner three and put his head down to finish at the rim. He has 3&D written all over him.
