2024 5-8 PG Ava Grace Watson – Buford
The Blue Chip prospect excels at using her quickness and change of direction to leave defenders’ heads spinning. Watson is so fast and so shifty; she breaks off euro steps in full speed and stops on a dime when scoring from the mid-range. Ava Grace is a devastating shooter both off the catch and off the dribble. She creates separation using a tight handle and step-backs. Watson gets all the way to the rim with ease and finishes with either hand and can drop in floaters. She’s a talented playmaker that likes to drive and dish, jumping in the air and rotating her body to deliver bullet passes to open shooters. On defense, she is able to stay in front of her man with her lateral agility and has a knack for jumping passes. Watson totaled 12 points, 1 rebound, 4 assists and 4 steals.

2022 6-0 C Tamori Plantin – Buford
Tamori Plantin has risen her play this season, scoring with her back to the basket inside and gobbling up rebounds at a high level. She tallied 8 points, 15 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 1 block in a 64-55 win over Elbert County which was a 30-point lead after three quarters before the bench was cleared. Plantin was too big for the Blue Devils, overpowering her way inside scoring on putbacks and eliminating second chance opportunities. Plantin does a great job of high-pointing rebounds and snatching them with two hands. She uses her elbows to clear out space whether rebounding or drop stepping to score. Expect Plantin to climb up recruiting boards this season.

2023 5-7 SG Taylor Romano – Buford
In from Florida, Taylor Romano supplies Buford with a knockdown shooter. Romano has a quick trigger and can fire immediately. She takes no time at all to get her feet set and is always in position to let it fly. She buried 4 threes en route to 14 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal. With Kirby Wallis out for the year, Romano’s three-point shooting becomes all that more important.

2023 5-6 G Aaniyah Allen – Elbert County
A bright spot for Elbert County vs. Buford was Aaniyah Allen. The quick little guard attacked the rim relentlessly scoring on five drives and two coast-to-coast finishes. She’s very quick and plays with a high motor. Allen makes things happen on both ends of the floor. She’s a key cog in Elbert County’s 1-2-2 press, able to pick off passes and force opponents into traps. Continuing to add range to her outside shot and more strength to her frame will help her greatly. She finished with 19 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals and 1 block. Allen is very talented player that is waiting to explode onto college radars.

2022 6-0 C Ava Hunter – Union County
There doesn’t have to be much fancy about Ava Hunter’s game in order for her to be successful. The North Georgia-signee knows who she is as a player and doesn’t stray away from what makes her so good. She was punishing in a 57-46 win over Cherokee Bluff, recording 30 points, 17 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals and 3 blocks. Hunter rips down rebounds with both hands and seeks contact and powers through it when scoring inside. She can knockdown the mid-range jumper when left open and can help alleviate pressure, handling the ball in small spurts. Hunter is one of the most physical players in the state and among the best in North Georgia.

2022 5-6 PG Becca Ledford – Fannin County
West Georgia is getting a workout warrior in Becca Ledford, a gifted athlete with imposing strength. She uses her toughness to get downhill and absorb contact while getting there. Ledford has a nice pull-up jumper and is an effective defender that takes away air space with her on-ball pressure. Becca is a reliable ball handler that can handle pressure and protect the ball all while keeping her head up to see the floor. She had 12 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 2 blocks in a 59-49 win over North Oconee.

2022 5-9 G Annika Bonds – North Oconee
Annika Bonds stepped up with Aiyanna Peavy out. She helped spark a fourth quarter rally that nearly erased a 16-point deficit. Bonds has good length and uses her quickness to guard 1-3. She had some nice drives to the basket and drained a pair of threes. Bonds drew the assignment of defending Becca Ledford and was able to hold her own. Annika finished with 17 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. D-III programs should be checking in.
