The Sandy’ Spiel Spring Showcase sold out for a fourth consecutive year, hosting 73 prospects from all across the state of Georgia who were looking to improve their game and boost their exposure before diving into travel ball. With the help of our esteemed eight-coach staff, here are our player evaluations sorted by team.

TEAM 1

Lawson Price
2029 5-5 G Lawson Price – Lincoln County – McCormick Roadrunners
Catch-and-shoot threat. Scrappy on-ball defender who will get after opponents even when outsized. Made good decisions with the ball when he found himself in the paint amongst the trees.

Zi'on Thomas2027 6-4 W Zi’on Thomas – Bradwell Institute – Atlanta Celtics 3SSB
Once again was the star of camp showcasing his three-level scoring with his highlight making athleticism. Scores in a variety of ways. Uses a crossover to free himself for jumpers. Plays above the rim with ease, finishing drives with slams and crashing the glass for putback dunks. Went into the post when smaller defenders tried to guard him. All the physical tools along with the skill to cement himself as one of the best prospects in all of South Georgia. Has a realistic chance to play his way onto D-I radars over his final two seasons.

Brett King2029 6-1 G Brett King – Lincoln County – McCormick Roadrunners
Lengthy guard was comfortable taking the pull-up three. Showed a soft touch when he got around the rim. Only a rising freshman, King has plenty of promise over his next four years.

Elyjah Doty2026 6-4 PF Elyjah Doty – Effingham County – Effingham Grizzlies
Legitimate stretch-forward. Strong burly frame which he can use to post up and score with his back to the basket. Does a nice job sealing inside, showing his entry hand on lobs. Extremely comfortable playing on the perimeter. Knockdown shooter from beyond the arc. Nice handle for his size, able to go behind the back to free himself from defenders before launching threes. Good feel for the game. Moves his feet well when defending on the perimeter. Smaller college programs will want to track his progress over the next 12 months.

Cole Bennett
2026 5-11 G Cole Bennett – The King’s Academy
Had coaches and media buzzing about his play. Lefty is a slick playmaker that can score from all over the floor. Hits pull-up jumpers from the mid-range and three-point line. Crafty, acrobatic slasher that finishes from tough angles in the paint. Gets others involved as a distributor. Does a good job feeding the post.

Branson Smith2028 5-9 G Branson Smith – Habersham Central
Plays tough defense which ignites his transition offense. Likes to get downhill in the halfcourt, pulling up for short jumpers. Spaces the floor with his three-point shot.

Dan Meyer2025 6-0 G Dan Meyer – Chattooga – Rome Elite
Elite scorer was unguardable at camp. Lefty is silky smooth getting to his spots. Knocks down pull-up jumpers at a high rate from both the mid-range and three-point line. Routinely gets two feet in the paint when penetrating with a shifty dribble. Has a floater in traffic. Wired to score but can also facilitate with keen court vision. Could be a great late get for JUCO or D-II programs.

Damien Phelps2026 6-1 G Damien Phelps – Social Circle – Swain Elite
Southpaw accepts the challenge of guarding other teams’ best player. Likes being coached. Does a nice job finishing at the rim against size. Utilizes an in-and-out dribble to get downhill.

TEAM 2

Tyrrell Green
2027 5-11 G Tyrrell Green – Social Circle
Made his mark as a shooter off the catch. Quality athlete was able to handle the ball and dish off drives. Steady perimeter defender did well guarding his yard.

AJ Brown
2026 6-3 G AJ Brown – Elbert County – Georgia Heat
Wiry high-energy guard was all over the floor, one of camp’s top performers. Plays big with his long arms and springy leaping ability. Smooth downhill slasher elevates to finish through the defense. Snatches rebounds and pushes the ball coast-to-coast. Continuing to hone his three-point shot will be an area of growth to keep an eye on. Disruptive defender on the perimeter and around the rim. His tools and motor give him serious upside at the next level. Two-way standout is a stock riser.

Jyson Mallard2027 6-0 G Jyson Mallard – Long County – Boomers
Spot-up shooter can loosen the defense with his range. Moves the ball well with drives behind drives. Drops in floaters and can finish with both hands at the basket. Pushes the ball in transition with a nose for the rim.

Jamere Martin2026 6-3 W Jamere Martin – Long County – SSA Elite
Physically built swingman has the size and strength to get a bucket in the paint. Likes to attack with his mid-range jumper. Handles the ball well when getting to his spots. Capable rebounder in traffic.

Zyi'Air Holt2026 6-1 G Zyi’Air Holt – Long County – SSA Elite
Mature feel to his game. Quiet, confident demeanor. Sets up the offense. Limits turnovers as he uses his strength to protect the ball. Hits the three off the catch and off the dribble. Absorbs contact on drives.

Kelvin Hayes Jr.2027 6-0 G Kelvin Hayes Jr. – Long County
Off-guard is a lanky defender that can bother the opposition with his reach and lateral mobility. Displays athleticism when slicing to the rim for finishes.

Tristan Rodriquez
2025 6-0 G Tristan Rodriquez – Chestatee – Go All In Elite
Hustler flies around on defense. Brings energy to the team. Decision making is improving. Has the bounce to play at the rim.

Kaleb Detty2026 6-4 F Kaleb Detty – Groves
One of the best surprises from camp. Big, strong forward but more than just a banger. Stood out with his court vision, an extremely good passer that found teammates off the dribble in tight quarters in the paint with scoop passes and on drives downhill hitting the open man at the last second. Found his own offense on dump offs and hit a couple jumpers throughout the day. Runs the floor, has soft hands and boasts a good motor. Serviceable piece that can be deployed in a variety of ways.

Kaiden Long2027 6-7 F Kaiden Long – East Forsyth – Redline
Polished post used quick spins baseline and finished through contact throughout the duration of camp. Got up to finish with dunks. Cleaned up the backboards, altered shots and communicated well on defense. Active young big with mobility. Bright future.

Chance Fleming2028 6-0 G Chance Fleming – Aquinas – Upward
Can play on and off the ball. Dangerous three-point shooter off the catch. Outside shot was his primary weapon but would take driving lanes and finish in traffic with difficult lay-ins.

TEAM 3

Zion Grant2026 5-8 G Zion Grant – Baldwin
Slick handle, quick off the bounce. Plays with speed. High motor. Sticky on-ball defender had active hands and sideline-to-sideline agility to keep ball handlers in front. Solid outside shooter. Two-way difference maker with his effort.

Mekhi Wade2026 5-8 G Mekhi Wade – Lincoln County
Sturdy frame. Blended speed with strength while getting downhill. Knocked down corner threes. Physical on-ball defender poked away steals and was efficient in transition.

Cayden Lowrey2026 6-2 G Cayden Lowrey – Heritage-Catoosa – Thunder Basketball
Smooth with the ball using a quick first step. Athletic with long arms in the backcourt. Moved well without the ball to find openings. Coast-to-coast finisher upon clearing rebounds. Team-first player made winning plays throughout camp.

Zyan Eastman2026 6-4 F Zyan Eastman – Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe – Georgia Youth University Bulldogs
Brought toughness from the gridiron. Strong body combo-forward played inside and out. Big-time leaper finished with dunks. Rebounds in traffic. Best work came from 10-feet and in as a putback guy and slasher.

Chase Little
2025 5-10 G Chase Little – Douglass – World Wide Hustle
Likes to get downhill to score with floaters. Solid mid-range shot. Good vision, capable of making the extra pass. Makes momentum building plays.

Will Foust2025 6-4 F Will Foust – Roswell – North Atlanta Stars
Unorthodox release but can stretch the floor with his three-point shot. Strong frame. Helps defend in the post and can rebound. Pick-and-pop versatility.

Thomas Williams2027 6-5 PF Thomas Williams – Johnson-Savannah – 912 Nightmares
High upside forward. Rebounds with two hands in traffic. Hits the perimeter jumper. Scores with baby hooks and can face up and get to the hoop. Utilizes turnaround jumpers from in the lane. Alters shots. Quality athlete. Just scratching the surface of his ceiling.

Dylan Miller2025 5-11 G Dylan Miller – Cass – MDA
Quick first step gets him to the rim where he can finish through contact. Penetrator can catch defenders on their heels with one-dribble pull-ups.

Josiah Ingram2027 6-0 G Josiah Ingram – Hancock Central – GA Magic
Attacks from all three levels. Streaky three-point shooter. Has subtle explosiveness when getting to the hoop. Embraces contact on drives. 

TEAM 4

Swag Dean2026 5-10 PG Swag Dean – Denmark
Point guard displayed a creative handle when gaining separation from defenders. Knocked down a handful of pull-up threes. Playmaker was able to penetrate consistently. Drive-and-dish distributor. Finished with both hands at the basket. Hustled back on defense to get deflections from behind in transition.

Isaiah Johnson2026 5-11 G Isaiah Johnson – John Milledge – Reachers Unlimited
Strong frame. Gets great elevation on his jump shot. Follows his shot for offensive rebounds. Coast-to-coast finisher after securing rebounds. Moves without the ball and has high IQ. Holds upside as a physical on-ball defender.

Ryland Chambers2027 6-1 G Ryland Chambers – Union County – E.T.G.
Pretty form on his three-point shot. Shot the ball with confidence with deep range. Back cut along the baseline for layups. Has improved a lot over 12 months, notably with his handle and aggressiveness. Team-first mentality. Sturdy build. Coachable.

Grayson Mayfield2028 6-0 G Grayson Mayfield – Home School
Wiry guard hit deep pull-up threes. Saw the floor, finding cutters. Helped initiate the offense and break the press.

Whitt Sullivan
2028 6-0 G Whitt Sullivan – The Habersham School – Elite Warriors
Hustle stood out, diving on the floor for loose balls. Took pride in his defense providing effort each possession. Found someone to block out whenever a shot went up. Did the little things well.

Kaden Gore2028 6-2 G Kaden Gore – Home School
Lean guard has nice length on the perimeter. Needs to add more muscle to his frame to become an effective driver. Knocked down some threes from the wing. Has a chance to become a solid defender.

Eli Sosensky2025 5-10 G Eli Sosensky – Union County
Rebounds well for his size especially on the offensive glass. Athletic slasher beat his man downhill and hung in the air for layups. Active defender.

Joseph Rhodes2028 6-0 C Joseph Rhodes – Home School
Loved setting high ball screens. Did a good job to impede the progress of defenders. Played within himself and competed in the paint.

Billy Brimer2027 6-5 C Billy Brimer – Central-Carrollton – SEBA
Uses his strength to score around the rim. Old school post presence but can also take defenders off the dribble in short spurts. Rebounds and finishes with both hands. Seals very well and shows a target hand.

Jeremiah Sutton2028 6-4 F Jeremiah Sutton – MACA
Natural athlete still learning the game. Set a lot of screens and crashed the glass for rebounds. Runs the floor well.

TEAM 5

Quentin James
2026 5-11 G Quentin James – Johnson-Savannah – Georgia Ignites
Heady guard can play either the one or the two. Strong athlete. Gets to his spots and can hit jumpers from the mid-range and beyond the arc. Sees the floor as a distributor. Doesn’t get bumped off course when penetrating and keeps his head up for kick out threes. Creates separation with crossovers and eurosteps.

Michael Hall
2027 5-11 G Michael Hall – South Effingham – Effingham Bulldogs
Did well scoring the ball in our one-on-one station. Uses jab steps to free himself. Good jump shooter opens up the floor.

Aiden Watts2028 6-1 G Aiden Watts – Washington County – Waco Elite
Strong frame for a freshman. Competes on the glass. Multiple effort guy whether it be on defense, rebounding or keeping plays alive on offense. Scored through contact around the rim.

Kaden Jones2029 5-9 G Kaden Jones – Lincoln County – McCormick Roadrunners
Plays fast. Wants to push tempo and get the ball up the floor. Unselfish distributor. Got to his floater on drives.

Jaxon Moore2026 6-1 G Jaxon Moore – Calhoun – MDA
Multisport standout is starting to make a name for himself on the hardwood. Athletic guard with good strength. Gets off the ground quickly. Competes for rebounds at their highest point in traffic. Soft touch on his jump shot. Gets it off the catch and off the dribble. Knocks down straightaway threes. Has switchability on defense able to guard 1-3. Well-rounded two-way player.

Jaylin Sweat2026 6-5 F Jaylin Sweat – Bradwell Institute – Gold Elite
Lefty is an impressive athlete. Creates mismatches with his ability to hit the mid-range jumper, attack off the dribble and score around the rim. Needs to fight through fatigue to play defense and not take plays off. Has the skill and physical gifts to emerge as a legitimate prospect this offseason. One of the coast’s better players.

Parker Stanley
2026 6-7 C Parker Stanley – Toombs County
All the tangibles are in place. Rock-solid physique. Great size with leaping ability. Can control the paint as a rebounder and shot blocker. Has expanding shooting range, touch out to 15-feet. Does a good job walling up on defense. Starting to become a more consistent scorer in the post. Stock is trending up.

Michael Youngblood2025 6-0 G Michael Youngblood – Lakeside-Evans – SKG
Plays bigger than his size. Uses his shoulders well when getting downhill and finishing through contact. Plays off two feet in traffic. Good three-point shooter off the catch.

Luke Elliott2028 6-0 G Luke Elliott – John Milledge – Macon Mavs
Utilized jump stops to gather himself in the paint before going up to finish with his floater. Moved the ball around but was always ready to attack off the catch.

Noah Cockrell
2026 6-1 G Noah Cockrell – Riverwood
Created off the bounce, able to snake ball screens. Got into the lane and dropped in floaters. Quick twitch athleticism. Brought aggressive on-ball defense.

TEAM 6

Derrick White Jr.2025 6-0 G Derrick White Jr. – Social Circle – Head Hunter Elite
Athletic penetrator gets to the rim using a creative handle. Finishes through contact well. Rebounds exceptionally well for his size. Locks up on defense.

Jordan Stevens2025 6-4 W Jordan Stevens – Bradwell Institute – Gold Elite
Explosive leaper plays above the rim. Attacks on the wing and in the post. Has patient footwork inside, maneuvering the pivot for open looks. Versatile defender can guard up top or in the post. Switches screens without an issue.

Brody Carruth2025 6-1 G Brody Carruth – East Jackson
Lean playmaker knows how to create his own shot but also get others involved. Sees the floor on baseline drives, making natural pitches to the corner for open threes. Strong shooter when his feet are set.

Taven Leonard2027 5-11 G Taven Leonard – Kendrick
Physically strong guard packed with muscle. Crashes the glass for rebounds. Active hands guarding the ball. Forces turnovers and has a quick instinct to jump into passing lanes. Impacts games with his hustle.

Brayden Faulkner2028 5-11 G Brayden Faulkner – John Milledge
Nice flow with the ball. Plays with confidence and can make things happen off the dribble. Knocked down corner threes and found open windows along the perimeter. Heady offensive player.

Brandon Pemberton2027 6-4 W Brandon Pemberton – Parkview – IJM Elite
Was one of the most talked about players at camp. Long athletic positionless player. Point-forward skill set with his versatility. Grabbed rebounds and pushed the ball up the floor as a playmaker. Attacked from the wing, smooth getting to the rim. Knocked down threes. Capable of going into the post to score with his back to the basket. Gets to his spots without trouble. Does a little bit of everything.

Revel Edwards2027 5-8 G Revel Edwards – Kendrick – Black Hawks
Scored in transition. Used a pro hop to split defenders on his way to the hoop. High motor. Facilitated off the bounce. Great energy on defense, forcing turnovers with his constant activity.

Isaiah Scruggs2026 6-3 W Isaiah Scruggs – Effingham County – Effingham Bulldogs
Rangy swingman with muscle can do damage inside and out. Comfortable shooting the pull-up three. Hit big shots in close games throughout camp. Can sometimes settle for jump shots instead of attacking the rim. Plays hard. Great teammate. Has a chance to have a strong senior season.

Andre Dye Jr.
2029 5-10 G Andre Dye Jr. – Kendrick – TAC Gym Rats
Strong compact guard. Tight handle against pressure. Uses his body well to shield the ball from defenders when getting to his spots. Attacks both left and right. High understanding for the game.

TEAM 7

Izaiah Turman2026 6-0 G Izaiah Turman – Jonesboro
Lefty. Shifty downhill attacker with speed. Got to the rim at will. Adding more strength will help him finish through contact. Steady three-point shooter. Good court vision. Can play either the 1 or the 2. Knack for rebounding. Should see an elevated role his senior season.

Talyn Harris2027 6-2 G Talyn Harris – SACA – Swain Academy
Strong bodied guard gets downhill exceptionally well. Absorbs contact, unable to get knocked off his course when attacking the basket. Scores the ball from multiple levels. Has upside as a drive-and-kick distributor and on-ball defender. A big final two seasons ahead of him.

Keon Slappy Jr.
2025 6-1 G Keon Slappy Jr. – Tucker – Atlanta Select
Crafty with the ball. Used eurosteps to avoid defenders when wiggling his way to the hoop. Knocked down threes off kick outs. Got to his spots in the mid-range and was able to frustrate opposing ball handlers with his defensive effort.

Lucas Smith2025 6-2 G Lucas Smith – Murray County – Five Star Basketball
Big athletic guard can play 1-4. Gets off the floor quickly for rebounds. Leaper plays off two feet in traffic and doesn’t shy away from contact. Solid outside shooter with three-point range. Has the ability to drive-and-kick to open shooters. Strong all-around game. Could be a nice late pickup for small programs.

Adonis Brown
2026 6-3 G Adonis Brown – South Gwinnett – Atlanta Strikers
Sizeable guard can play both the 2 and the 3. Strong with the ball when getting to the rim. Will mix in pull-up jumpers and can hit the three. Plays with a lot of energy, constantly keeping the pressure on the opposition. A threat to crash the glass for rebounds.

Kyle Pemberton2025 6-5 F Kyle Pemberton – Parkview
Holds the versatility to play inside and out. Comfortable bringing the ball up the floor. Passes well off the dribble, able to find shooters. Scores from multiple levels with his jumper. Springy finisher around the rim. Can guard inside and out. Did a good job getting out to the perimeter to block shots. Nice late option for small schools or JUCOs. Well-rounded skill set.

Kaden Collins2028 6-0 G Kaden Collins – Washington County – N.E.T.
Knocked down threes consistently throughout camp. Showed some elusiveness with the ball, using a spin move to evade defenders. Was able to influence games with his rebounding, passing and defense.

Cason Reed
2028 6-0 PG Cason Reed – Banks County – Georgia Generals
Playmaking shooter surveys the floor. Looks to create for others when attacking the hoop. Spaces the floor with his three-point shot. Crafty finisher downhill.

Cordell Simmons Jr.2026 6-3 W Cordell Simmons Jr. – Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe – Underdogs
Athlete. Used his leaping ability to grab rebounds from behind block outs without going over the back. Mixed in his offense from 15-feet and in. Sank turnaround jumpers and found points on slashes and putbacks. Contested shots on defense and got deflections.

TEAM 8

Makai Davis
2026 5-9 PG Makai Davis – Hancock Central – Georgia Magic
Scrappy defender plays with immense effort. Lightweight and quick on his feet. Changes directions fluidly with speed. Penetrates well, able to finish with his floater. Shot the ball well from beyond the arc. Competed hard around the rim and came away with a handful of blocks of bigger players.

Christian Hester
2025 6-0 G Christian Hester – Jefferson – Classic City Ballers
Tough-nosed guard is strong getting to his spots. Finishes at the rim through contact while playing off two feet. Doesn’t get sped up by aggressive defense. Scores with one-dribble pull-ups. Unselfish decision maker. Steady defender understands team defense.

Noah Reese2026 6-0 G Noah Reese – Effingham County – Effingham Grizzlies
Wiry guard likes to push tempo in the open floor. Bouncy athlete crashes the glass for putbacks. Draws in defenders while driving and zips out accurate passes to shooters. Good feel as a facilitator.

Jayden Futrell2026 6-3 W Jayden Futrell – Harlem – SKG
Strong frame. Power wing likes to attack the basket and score around the rim. Rebounds well offensively and defensively. Has growing range on his jump shot. Has the physical tools to be a versatile defender that can guard all over the floor.

Derick Gladman2027 6-0 G Derick Gladman – Lincoln County
Muscle-bound guard plays bigger than his size. Runs the floor well and gets baskets in transition with his hustle. Did most of his damage slashing toward the basket. Can be a handful defensively for guards not as strong.

Jace Mills2028 6-0 G Jace Mills – Habersham Central
Moved well without the ball. Had success along the baseline with floaters. Netted a couple threes throughout the day. Did a good job feeding the post with entry lobs.

Dayden Rogers2026 6-4 F Dayden Rogers – Banks County – Georgia Generals
Inside-out lefty bangs in the post, able to get to his hook shot or turnaround jumper. Stretches the floor with his three-point range and can score from the mid-range. Rebounds well in traffic. Plays physical in the paint. Creates mismatches with his versatility. Could cause problems in high ball screens with his ability to both roll and pop out.

Caleb Giles2026 6-5 PF Caleb Giles – Kendrick – Canes
Active interior presence is strong, long and can jump. Rebounds the ball very well and challenges shots on defense. Seals for post feeds and scores with a hook when drop stepping middle. Capable of playing above the rim for dunks. Does everything you would want from a big man.
