Parris Parham2025 5-10 W Parris Parham – FBC NextUp – Bradwell Institute
With another strong week in the books, Parris Parham closed out her stock-rising summer with big game after big game at War Games and ATL SummerSlam. Quickly emerging as a priority prospect for D-I programs in the Southeast, Parham’s do-everything play and overall consistency has elevated her on recruiting boards. The habitual producer fills the box score routinely. She sank three threes en route to 17 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 6 blocks in a win over Nautilus Express. Later during the weekend at ATL SummerSlam against 1Nation, with West Georgia, Eastern Michigan, Iona, Northern Kentucky and Western Carolina all watching, Parham poured in 21 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks, netting three more three-pointers. Parris’ versatility on both ends of the floor makes her special. She impressed me with her interior defense. She walls up and uses her length and physical toughness to alter shots without fouling, even when giving up multiple inches against bigger players. Offensively, Parham has very good footwork off the dribble, playing with great balance. She doesn’t force the issue on drives, coming down to play off two feet, implementing her pivot before finding an angle to score or a window to kick out to shooters.  Parham is a playmaking three-level scorer. West Georgia offered a week ago. Expect a bevy of D-II schools to try and jump in, but it may be too late as I expect plenty more D-I programs will get involved and lead the recruitment.

Caroline Beavin2025 5-8 G Caroline Beavin – FBC NextUp – North Gwinnett
D-II programs are starting to jockey for position for Caroline Beavin. The sharpshooting guard holds value with her ability to play both on and off the ball. She’s a steady playmaker when handling lead guard duties, but she’s most explosive off the catch with her deep three-point range. Beavin moves well without the ball, freeing herself by using elevator screens to shoot from long-range. Caroline’s outside shot draws the respect of defenders. When they creep too far out to contest, Beavin is strong enough and quick enough to attack downhill and finish with floaters or score through contact. Against Nautilus Express, Beavin blasted six threes finishing with 21 points, 1 rebound and 4 assists in a 66-58 win.

Aryana Thomas
2025 5-5 G Aryana Thomas – VLC Thunder – Lowndes
It was a coming out party for Aryana Thomas, leading VLC Thunder to a 64-60 overtime win against Southeast United Florida. Thomas peppered the defense with her jumper, netting three three-pointers and scoring from the mid-range to pile in a game-high 26 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 1 steal. Thomas showed toughness attacking the hoop and was able to get to the line, shooting 7-8. Aryana has room to diversify her attack by implementing her left hand more, but her strength getting to her right was enough to overshadow any perceived weakness. Thomas looks like one of South Georgia’s top guards. With more exposure, should come more opportunities to play at the next level. Aryana is a talented sleeper.

Avery Huffman2025 5-5 G Avery Huffman – Redline – Denmark
Avery was a little off her game during GBCA Live, but during this Live Period she was back to normal, nailing three-pointer after three-pointer. Redline clobbered FBC NextUp Red with their outside shooting, netting 11 threes. Huffman sank three in the first half and finished with 9 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal. During ATL SummerSlam, Huffman continued her hot shooting, burying multiple threes in multiple games. Avery is at her best off the catch, but she’s also dangerous off the dribble when getting to her step-back jumper from the mid-range. Huffman secured an offer from William Peace at the conclusion of SummerSlam.

Christen Collins
2025 5-4 PG Christen Collins – AEBL Gold – Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe
Tucked away near the Tennessee border, Christen Collins by no means is a new name to me, but to some college programs in Georgia may be considered a fresh face. Collins was outstanding all week long leading AEBL Gold. The little lefty is a ball dominant playmaker that scores in bunches but can also facilitate when needed. Christen has the ball on a string. Against Porter Sports, she nearly willed AEBL Gold to victory, dropping a game-high 19 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 1 block in a 55-49 loss to the D-I ladened roster. Collins is an exceptional driver. Without the shot clock, she patiently kept her dribble alive, probing the defense and waiting for high ball screens before attacking downhill. Collins went 7-10 from the foul line, a typical occurrence for the undersized foul magnet who went 12-15 against Lamar County at the Sandy’s Spiel Tip-Off Classic on her way to 32 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 steals and shot 7-12 from the charity stripe at the Sandy’s Spiel Northwest Georgia Invitational against Starr’s Mill, ending with 21 points, 12 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal this past season. As crafty as Christen is when it comes to getting to the line, she can score in other ways as well. She nailed a pair of threes against Porter Sports and mixed in some mid-range jumpers. There are three factors that could be hindering Collins’ perceived recruitment. Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe being on the Tennessee border, her lack of size and no social media presence to promote her game on Twitter. D-II programs should be involved with Christen. She is a diamond in the rough and an example of how there are great basketball players all over the state as long as you know where to find them.

2025 6-0 C Hope Taylor – Peak Performance – Union County
I hardly recognized Hope. I’ve been a supported of her soft touch around the basket and her sneaky upside. At ATL SummerSlam, not only did Taylor score at a high rate inside and gobble up offensive rebounds, but it was her frame that impressed me most. Taylor has trimmed up her body and looks to be in some of her best shape. Hope was getting up and down the floor quicker than I have seen in two years and was playing with a mean streak in the paint, scoring with her back to the basket and showcasing a dropstep hook shot. Smaller programs looking for size should take a look at Hope. She is trending upward heading into her senior season.
