2026 6-7 W Manny Green – Cedar Grove
When big plays needed to be made, Manny Green delivered. Standing close to 6-foot-7 now, the hyper athletic swingman scored from all over the floor in a 57-50 win at Douglass. Green had just one made field goal at the half, a three-pointer, as the Saints were tied at 22 with Green accounting for eight points shooting 5-8 from the foul line. The fourth quarter is where Manny became the closer, igniting himself with a monster poster slam in the third. Green scored 10 of Cedar Grove’s 16 fourth quarter points, delivering dagger corner threes late, drilling a deep ball with over 20 seconds left on the shot clock with roughly 35 seconds to play, electing to go for the kill instead of back it out. In total, Manny netted three three-pointers and finished with a game-high 20 points, 12 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals and 2 blocks. His size and athleticism are through the roof. When he attacks the rim, he gets there quickly with long strides and can elevate to score through defenders. I came away impressed with his court vision, getting downhill but seeing the open man for dump off passes. Manny looks like the most complete prospect in Georgia’s 2026 class. The sky is the limit.

2026 6-4 W Trey Rhodes – Cedar Grove
On his third school in less than 12 months, Trey Rhodes has been on the road often but it looks like he has found a home at Cedar Grove after starting at Norcross and transferring to Gainesville in the offseason. Rhodes had an explosive third quarter that pushed the Saints in front, scoring nine points in a variety of ways, turning a 22-22 tie into a 41-33 lead heading into the fourth. Rhodes netted a floater, a left-handed putback, a three and an And-1 spin finish. Trey finished off his scoring in the fourth quarter with a monster slam that sparked a quick 7-0 run that pushed the Saints ahead for good at 52-44 after the lead was trimmed to one point. Rhodes is a freak athlete. An elite leaper that explodes toward the rim. He has a compact, high release on his jump shot. Trey compiled 12 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 block in the win. With his dynamic athleticism and growing skill set on the perimeter, Rhodes is an intriguing long-term prospect with high upside.

2024 6-5 G Noah Treadwell – Douglass
Noah kept Douglass in the game with timely three-pointers and flashed his robust all-around game in the Astros’ 57-50 loss. Treadwell hit three threes including a pull-up from the top of the key. Standing around 6-foot-5, Noah has great size in the backcourt. He’s an explosive athlete that is able to impact games on both ends of the floor. He had some gym shaking blocks and was effective on the backboards. With his size and strength, Noah has upside as a driver that can both score and kick to shooters. He has the versatility to play 1-3, effective on and off the ball. Treadwell posted 11 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals and 2 blocks. Georgia State offered back in May.

2026 6-8 C Javonte Floyd – Douglass
All the physical tools are there for Javonte Floyd to become a dominant post presence one day. He has a very good frame that will continue to pack on muscle. Floyd is mobile and springy, able to play above the rim with ease. His lone basket came on a putback slam that ignited the crowd. I liked what I saw defensively. Floyd’s wingspan and vertical presence is immense. When he jumps straight up, he can completely erase the shooter’s vision of the basket. The rim protector swallowed up Manny Green on an impressive possession, able to leap and wall up without swatting down. Floyd does have some room for growth. He is a young player and it showed on a few occasions. He received a technical foul for doing a chin-up on the rim after his putback dunk and later showed a lot of emotion coming out of the game, sinking his head between his knees as he had to be consoled on numerous occasions by an assistant coach. Floyd finished with 2 points, 5 rebounds and 3 blocks. As he continues to mature and get more reps, I think he will become a very familiar name in Georgia. He’s got a chance to blossom into one of the state’s better big men. Stay tuned.

2024 6-7 W Micah Smith – Sandy Creek
James Madison is getting a competitor. Micah Smith is a star, but he doesn’t act like one in the sense of being a prima donna. Smith doesn’t think he’s too good to play defense. He locks in on that side of the ball, making him a legit two-way game changer. He doesn’t give up on plays and is a terrific shot blocker, both one-on-one and coming from behind. Micah is still a bit wiry and lean, but he plays with muscle and heart. He flies in for rebounds and physically finishes at the basket. I love how he was able to identify mismatches and exploit them. Numerous times Micah would go to the block and back his man down before making a post move and elevating over to finish. Smith’s hustle the full length of the floor can’t be understated. He ran the court even when it looked like he may not be initially involved in plays. He streaked down for a putback dunk on a missed transition layup, one of his two slams on the night. In the fourth quarter in a back-and-forth game with the St. Pius X homecourt advantage in full effect, Micah dumped in 11 points to lead the Patriots to a 57-52 victory. Smith finished with 26 points, 14 rebounds, 1 steal and 7 blocks, shooting 8-13 from the foul line. Considering the circumstances, it may have been the best performance I’ve seen out of Smith in my four years covering him – that says a lot.

2024 6-2 PG Amari Brown – Sandy Creek
I’m not sure why college programs are still dragging their feet on Amari Brown. The lockdown lefty is a dynamic player. He scores the ball in a variety of ways, on Friday getting to the basket while mixing in pull-up jumpers. Brown sank four jump shots and had three slashes to the cup including an incredibly difficult finish with 2:05 left to play to extend the Patriot lead to 54-50. Amari has good bounce, able to explode up into his shot or elevate when finishing through traffic. Aside from his scoring, it was Amari’s defense that really stood out. He did a terrific job defending Harris Reynolds. Brown is a gifted defender, great at sliding his feet laterally to cut off drives. His defense helped spring multiple Sandy Creek run outs. Amari collected 18 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals in the narrow victory. Brown has picked up offers from Paris Junior College, Chattahoochee Valley Community College and Ranger College this month.

2026 6-3 G Harris Reynolds – St. Pius X
While his outside shot wasn’t falling, Harris Reynolds still managed to lead St. Pius X with 14 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals and 3 blocks. Harris has deep three-point range using an easy release with limited lift. He drilled a long ball from the top of the key in the first quarter but had to work hard inside the arc for the rest of his points. Reynolds netted a baseline pull-up, scored off a steal and converted an And-1 goaltend for his three other field goals. He finished 5-7 from the foul line. While his offense wasn’t at its most efficient, Reynolds didn’t let it affect his defense. The springy guard was able to block shots at the rim in a game which saw a total of 22 swats, the most I’ve possibly ever seen. Reynolds is trending up as a future D-I prospect.

2026 6-5 G Tobias Brinkley – St. Pius X
Defense carried Tobias Brinkley. He brilliantly used his length and athleticism to erase shot after shot in the paint. The southpaw covers so much ground and can challenge taller players at the rim with his reach. Brinkley’s leaping ability and timing make up for the fact that he is thin. Adding weight will help him down the road, especially offensively which will allow him get to the basket with more efficiency. Brinkley was held scoreless in the first half but finished with 7 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 6 blocks. The long, lean guard earned an offer from Cincinnati in December. Brinkley has a tremendous ceiling to strive toward.

2025 5-8 G Yusef Bowyer – Maynard Jackson
Unquestionably one of the best shooters in the state, Yusef Bowyer had his clip locked and loaded on Saturday, gunning down Mays 82-59 sinking five of the Jaguars’ 10 threes. Yusef netted three three-pointers part of an explosive 16-point first quarter that sprung the Jags to a 28-13 lead they would build upon throughout. The little lefty moves with purpose away from the ball when executing sets. He runs hard off screens and is able to get his feet set in rhythm. Bowyer utilized his floater when he was run off the three-point line. Yusef poured in a game-high 27 points, 1 rebound and 1 assist. Concordia is the latest school to offer the sharpshooter.

2026 6-2 G Donaven Thomas – Maynard Jackson
I was extremely impressed with Donaven Thomas in my first viewing. He struck like lightning after a scoreless first quarter, netting 11 straight points to close the half including three straight threes. Thomas, who scores in bunches, then added seven more points in the third to finish with 18 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal with four three-pointers. Thomas is very good shooter that can get his shot off the dribble and off the catch. He’s athletic and has the skill to get downhill and finish in traffic. Thomas is a sophomore to track. The multisport standout has a bright future as a combo guard.

2025 6-7 W Cam Dover – Maynard Jackson
The emergence of Cam Dover has kept Maynard Jackson playing at a championship level even with 6-foot-8 Kennesaw State-signee Mekhi Turner injured. Dover is a matchup nightmare thanks to his robust offensive arsenal. The 6-foot-7 lefty is velvety smooth with his touch. He scored out of the post with a turnaround jumper and later sank a pull-up coming out of a spin move. Cam will certainly need to add weight by the time he gets to college, but his high skill level an two-way impact have quickly put him on the map. The stretchy forward produced 12 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 2 blocks. D-I and D-II schools will want to track his progress.

2024 6-0 G Derron Lindsey – Mays
Mays couldn’t get much going on offense but Derron Lindsey was still effective, leading the way with 17 points, 1 rebound, 3 assists and 1 steal, netting three three-pointers. Deuce attacked with his jumper throughout the day and had some tough finishes at the rim. Lindsey has enjoyed a breakout season averaging over 23 points per game. Small schools looking for a bucket getter that can fill it up from deep will want to take a look.
