2029 6-8 F JaCori Thompson – Grayson
Legit 6-foot-8 length. Good frame that will continue to stack on more weight as he gets older. Does a nice job passing out of the post, able to find cutters. Finishes with both hands inside, doing well battling for post position. In a 69-56 win over Dorman, Thompson supplied 6 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 block while sinking his only free throw attempt. Kennesaw State and Georgia State offered in early June. JaCori’s ascent is just beginning.

2029 5-10 PG Raylon May – Salem
Keep an eye on the sophomore. Raylon is a solid lead guard who makes good decisions with the ball. May handles the rock and looks to distribute first, but can also pack a punch offensively. He scored on an And-1 drive, dropped in a floater and nailed a corner three to finish with 8 points, 1 rebound, 4 assists and 1 steal against Milton, FL. While he may not be a focal point of the offense, his importance is nonetheless extremely valuable.
2029 6-9 C Derek Williams – Alexander
Has touch out to the three-point line, able to space the floor. Blossoming offensive game. Can finish around the rim with slams. Helps control the glass. Solid frame with capable lateral quickness. Still piecing things together as his role will expand yearly.
2029 6-6 W Chauncey Young – Alexander
Passes the eye-test, long and wiry with broad shoulders. Athletic wing has a prototypical frame which could lend to 3&D development. Doesn’t get much lift on his jumper, an effortless release. Could be a two-way impact maker sooner rather than later, especially if his motor runs hot.
2029 5-11 PG Jase Blake – Westminster
The sophomore is mature beyond his years. Blake has a nice feel for the game. He gets Westminster into their offensive sets and can pass teammates open, expertly hitting slips and backdoor cuts. Standing only around 5-foot-11, Jase can also get a bucket when needed. He had two And-1 drives against Buford and netted a transition mid-range jumper en route to tallying 11 points, 3 rebounds, 5 assists and 1 steal.
2029 5-10 PG Kashando Gaither – Pebblebrook
Keep an eye on the slender lefty. Gaither piqued my interest with his play off the pine against Orlando Christian Prep, recording 6 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists. Kashando netted a pair of threes and showed poise with the ball as a playmaker. He handled vs. pressure and was able to find open teammates for easy buckets. I like his feel.
2030 6-0 PG Kingsley Shine – Butler
Shine hit four threes in a 43-39 win over St. Francis, accumulating 14 points, 5 rebounds and 2 steals. His firepower in the backcourt especially from beyond the arc will help alleviate pressure on De’Cori Fleming. Shine is a threat off the catch but is also good at pulling up from deep. He’s got a floater in his arsenal upon penetrating.
2030 6-4 F Kshaun Daley – Hillgrove
I thought Daley provided key minutes off the bench in Hillgrove’s 70-66 win against Huntsville. Kshaun plays hard. The long-armed forward isn’t completely filled out just yet, but his mental approach helps him play stronger than he looks. Daley showed the ability to finish with both hands through contact against Huntsville and was effective on the glass as he finished with 5 points and 3 rebounds. I like Kshaun’s future as a hard-nosed forward.
