2027 6-9 F Armin Kapic – Alpharetta Mustangs
D-I schools should start piling in for Armin Kapic. The Austrian big is immensely talented. The game comes so easily for him, playing at his own pace in the pivot. Kapic has terrific footwork. He scores on the low block with powerful backdowns and step-throughs. Armin is comfortable catching 15-20 feet away before maneuvering his way to the rim. Kapic has deceptive footspeed as well, a threat to go coast-to-coast as he showcases his ball handling while would-be defenders bounce off him as he gets to the cup. Armin hung 23 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal and 2 blocks on Centennial as the Mustangs outscored the Knights 55-26 in the second half to win 80-47.
2028 6-5 F Kobe Williford – Centennial
Kobe was shot out of a cannon on Sunday, playing some of his best ball of the season in the first half against the Alpharetta Mustangs. Williford was all over the floor. He hustled the full length of the court for putbacks and soared to the rim for layups. Kobe’s end-to-end energy was infectious. His toughness attacking plays led to numerous whistles in his favor, shooting 6-8 from the foul line. Kobe finished up close with hook shots and even showed versatility working off screens for catch-and-shoot threes. Williford dumped in 17 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals in the loss.
2028 6-0 PG Donovan DeGourville – Sequoyah
Up 28-22 at the half on the Arnold Mill Mustangs, Sequoyah turned to Donovan DeGourville in the second half to surge past for a 57-34 win. Donovan flipped the switch in the blink of an eye after a four-point first half, finishing his day with a game-high 22 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 steal. DeGourville strikes quickly and sometimes quietly. What seemingly feels like a modest performance transforms into a monster outing by the time the clock shows zeros. Donovan knocked down three three-pointers while mixing in downhill attacks. DeGourville is a ticking time bomb offensively, bound to go off at a second’s notice.
2028 6-2 W William LaBarbera – Sequoyah
In a league chock full of great shooters, Will marks near the top with just how consistent he is week in and week out. LaBarbera busted open the defense with three threes coming in the first half. He would tally 14 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals in a win over Arnold Mill. William is in line for a breakout season at the varsity level. Opponents better be prepared to find LaBabera and close out hard with a hand up our else they will pay.
2027 6-3 G Jackson Harrison – Milton
A day prior to committing to Charleston Southern, Jackson Harrison had one last impressive showing as an available prospect, posting 11 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist and 4 steals in a 63-53 win against Chattahoochee. Jackson is a high-end three-point shooter but on Sunday he needed just one triple to alert defenders. The big guard thrived with physical downhill takes using a quick first step and strength to the rim with no wasted movements. He got to his left hand to go along with his dominant righty approach. His IQ as far as spacing and timing goes led to back cut buckets and assists of his own.
2027 6-3 G Tate Golden – Milton
The North Georgia-commit had his well-rounded mature game on display against Chattahoochee as he racked up 11 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals and 1 block. Golden is capable of playing numerous different spots on the floor. He’s got the size, strength and knowledge of how to be in the right place and how to exploit weaknesses. Tate found success in transition running the floor for easy hoops. He knocked down a three, converted a steal for a layup and cut for a bucket. Golden rebounds well from the perimeter. His unselfishness leads to a free-flowing Milton offense which passes up good shots for great shots.
2027 5-8 PG Jackson Nunes – Chattahoochee
Jackson Nunes has been one of Chattahoochee’s most consistent players this fall. I’ve been impressed with his competitiveness. Nunes is small, but he’s got some savvy craft to his game as he’s able to slither around the defense for pull-up jumpers. Against Milton, Jackson buried four threes and had a pair of driving layups against Milton’s large frontline. Nunes went for a game-high 18 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal.
