Elizabeth Cady2029 5-8 G Elizabeth Cady – Sonoraville
Elizabeth jumps out at you right away with Sonoraville. She is long, wiry and athletic. Cady is active in the 2-2-1 press, disruptive taking away passing lanes with her wingspan and footspeed. The lefty shoots the three well, hitting two against Madison County in a 49-29 win. Cady finished with 12 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals. Next in a line of collegiate guards from Sonoraville, Cady has similar traits to Kayleigh Kelley who played at Truett McConnell. Only a rising sophomore, Elizabeth has time to grow her game even further. Bryan College offered last week for an early spark in her recruitment.

2029 5-5 PG Scout Henry – Union County
I love how hard Scout plays. Henry is a competitive on-ball defender, highly active with her hands and feet as she keeps handlers in front of her. When guarding away from the ball, she does a nice job stepping into gaps just enough to dig out steals. Her nose for the ball extends to the offensive side of things as she’s able to wriggle her way through the defense for drive-and-kick assists. Listed at just 5-foot-5, Scout loves to attack the glass then look to push the ball up the floor. In a 58-50 loss to St. Pius X in the Navy Bracket Championship, Henry hustled her way to 5 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 steals and 1 block with a three-pointer to her credit. Heading into Year 2, Scout is quickly becoming a fan favorite and soon will start popping up on college radars.

Sky Robinson2029 5-6 PG Sky Robinson – Woodward Academy
Sky came up huge in support of MacKenzee Williams in 65-58 win over Washington County, drilling six threes as the tandem combined for 59 points, Robinson accounting for 22 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 steal and 1 block. Sky’s three-point shooting was the story, but she did more than hit pull-ups and catch-and-shoot threes, Robinson looked good facilitating. She kept her head up as a probing ball handler, showcasing poise and strength with the ball. Her and Williams had a synergy, knowing where one another were on the court at all times as their two-man game impressed. With a knockdown shot and presence in the backcourt, Robinson is trending up.

Madison Merrick2029 5-11 W Madison Merrick – Parkview
A big off-ball swingman, Madison is exceptionally dangerous with her three-point shot and her skilled downhill attack. Merrick isn’t necessarily an explosive athlete, but she knows what she wants to do with the ball. She plays at her own pace, crafty as she gets to her floater. Madison gathers the ball in traffic with smooth fluidity, not letting defenders knock the ball out of her hands. Her touch led to 16 points, 1 assist and 1 steal against Jackson County, cashing in on a pair of threes, one banked off the glass. I like Merrick’s upside offensively. As she quickens and becomes more involved outside of scoring, expect her stock to climb quickly over the next three years.

Millie Southards2029 5-7 PG Millie Southards – Rabun County
Millie didn’t hit a shot from the field but she still managed to make winning plays in crunch time as she elevated the Lady Cats past Woodland-Stockbridge 40-36. Southards’ instincts took over as the tough-nosed playmaker crashed the offensive glass for second chances and facilitated throughout as she went for 10 points, 3 rebounds, 5 assists and 1 steal, shooting a perfect 5-5 from the line in the second half. Woodland threw multiple near 6-footers at Southards to slow her down and while she may not have been as aggressive or efficient shooting the ball, instead she found ways to help others around her flourish. Her feel and understanding of what it takes to win is what makes her such a valuable prospect.
