Baylee Green2028 5-8 W Baylee Green – Dawson County
The toolsy lefty was aggressive on both ends of the floor in a 37-25 win over East Forsyth. Known for her intangibles on defense and her ability to fill multiple roles on offense, Baylee racked up 8 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 5 steals in a stat sheet stuffing effort. Green drained a pair of threes and dropped in a floater before the buzzer to end the first half. Her length gives her defensive versatility as a 3&D type swingman.

Gracen Holbrook2028 5-7 SG Gracen Holbrook – East Forsyth
Holbrook got hot as she tried to power the Broncos back into the game after trailing 16-5 at the half. With Hollyn Hicks out, Gracen shouldered the scoring burden, dropping 12 points, 2 rebounds and 3 steals in the 37-25 loss to Dawson County. Holbrook buried a pair of threes and was crafty with her tough-nosed downhill attack. Gracen is a reliable defender with a growing on-ball offensive arsenal to pair with her dangerous three-point touch.

Carib Morris2029 6-2 W Carib Morris – South Forsyth
The 2023 Sandy’s Spiel Fall League Player of the Year as a seventh grader, Carib Morris made her long-awaited return and did not disappoint, drilling a three on her first touch of the game sparking a 17-point, 8-rebound, 1-steal, 1-block performance in a 46-30 win against Fannin County. Morris sank three threes with deep range, nailing shots off the catch and off the dribble. When she went onto the low block, she was in complete control as she deftly scored with shoulder fakes and counter moves as she got to her turnaround jumper. Carib finished with her left hand on a post seal and on a drive. The Pink Mamba also showed nimble feet as she defended on the perimeter against players much smaller than her.

Calleigh Salvador2028 5-4 PG Calleigh Salvador – South Forsyth
Calleigh’s crafty downhill approach saw her score four baskets on drives against Fannin County. Salvador is patient with her probes. She has a shifty crossover that doesn’t need to be overly fast in order to be effective. Calleigh changes speeds well, comfortable taking her time when shifting gears. She’s good at using her body to spin off defenders where she is able to finish with either hand. Salvador’s fancy footwork led to 10 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal.

Toccoa Hampton2028 5-6 PG Toccoa Hampton – Fannin County
I love how Toccoa stepped up with Izzie Jabaley missing Week 1. Hampton is next in line to lead the Rebels. Toccoa is a fearless lead guard who has a combo skill set in her repertoire. Her toughness shines through with her aggressiveness on both ends of the floor. Hampton helped Fannin County hang around with South Forsyth as she scored 14 of the Rebels’ 17 second half points in a 46-30 defeat. Hampton makes plays off the bounce using subtle sizzle. Her handle is tight, allowing her to penetrate as both a facilitator and scorer. Toccoa broke off euro steps in traffic to get to her floater and had some physical takes to the rim, scoring with her right hand on the left side. Hampton bagged a pair of corner threes to diversify her attack. As well as she scored the ball, I was equally impressed with how well she rebounded from the guard position, crashing in to steal second chance possessions. Toccoa tallied 15 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. Expect Hampton to have a breakout season in an increased role this year.

McKenna Hood2027 5-11 C McKenna Hood – Union County
Union County jumped out to a 13-1 lead over Lanier and led 28-13 at the half before holding on for a 39-33 victory. McKenna Hood paced the Panthers with 10 first half points. The rough-and-tumble post recorded a double-double with 12 points, 11 rebounds, 1 steal and 2 blocks. Hood did damage inside and out. She sank two mid-range jumpers, ran the floor for a transition hoop and converted on two putbacks. McKenna does well getting into rebounding position immediately when a shot goes up. She’s a reliable rebounder in her vicinity who can secure boards in traffic. Hood isn’t afraid to mix it up, getting a technical foul for a shove in the back after the whistle. McKenna’s physical play is a calling card.

Miya Totherow2029 5-8 W Miya Totherow – Union County
The lanky lefty got off to a quick start by draining two early threes against Lanier. Listed at 5-foot-8, Totherow feels taller with her wingspan which she uses to help shut down passing lanes in the 1-3-1. When Miya’s jump shot is on, she can light it up with her deep shooting range. Aside from her off-the-catch threes, Totherow found points with skilled takes off the bounce. She drilled a long two out of a spin move and pivoted her way to a right-handed floater in the lane as she finished with 12 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists in the six-point win.

Michelle Ezumah2027 5-11 F Michelle Ezumah – Lanier
As the game wore on, Michelle got stronger. In a narrow 39-33 loss to Union County coming back from a 15-point halftime deficit, Ezumah dumped in 16 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist, 5 steals and 2 blocks. Michelle’s lengthy athleticism and motor resulted in putbacks, drives and And-1 conversions. Ezumah’s speed in the open floor along with her love for using her left hand maybe even more than her dominant right hand makes her difficult to contain. Michelle drew foul after foul during the comeback bid, shooting 4-8 from the free throw line. When it comes to two-way impact makers in the frontcourt, not many do it better than Ezumah.

Jadyn Shepard
2028 5-6 PG Jadyn Shepard – Denmark
Jadyn set the tone immediately with her opening salvo, a three-point shot which sparked a barrage in Denmark’s 38-22 rout of Jackson County. Shepard would go on to sink five threes, part of an eight-three game for the Danes. Jadyn routinely beat the press up the sideline with ease and made the defense pay whenever they didn’t aggressively close out. Shepard dropped 17 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal to power a rapidly improving Denmark team starting to come of age.
