Bristol Davis2029 5-10 W Bristol Davis – Union County
The 1-3-1 wreaked havoc against Dawson County, resulting in a 39-35 win. Bristol’s length and anticipation led to numerous steals when playing on the wing. She picked off passes and used her wingspan to trap in the corners. A top-notch rebounder, Davis snagged boards and immediately looked to attack in transition. Bristol did the bulk of her damage in the half court in the paint. She converted an And-1 drive, scored off a drop step on a baseline out of bounds set and had a pretty floater while driving across the lane for her final bucket of the day, finishing with 15 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists and 7 steals. The Class 2A Freshman of the Year should flirt with a handful of triple-doubles throughout her career as her stock continues to climb.

Lilly Abbott2028 5-6 G Lilly Abbott – Dawson County
The blend of physicality, power and toughness that Lilly Abbott shows on a weekly basis is impressive. A breakout star last season, earning All-State Honorable Mention after winning Class 3A Most Improved upping her averages from 1.7 points and 1.9 rebounds to 16.4 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 2 steals per game, Abbott has major momentum heading into her junior season. In a tough 39-35 loss to Union County, Lilly was a handful as she erupted for 21 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals and 1 block. The lefty does a tremendous job of keeping her dribble alive along with staying on her downhill path as she turns corners through initial resistance to explode toward the rim. Abbott plays through contact and embraces it. I love how she is always one of the first players near the ball. At 5-foot-6, she’s an exceptional rebounder. Defensively, her aggressiveness on-ball helps force turnovers as she isn’t afraid to use her body to take away airspace and is adept at swiping away steals. The bank was open on Saturday as she banked in two of her three three-pointers coming via the pull-up. Abbott’s coast-to-coast rim-seeking ways lead her to be an effective one-man fastbreak. Lilly should be a target for D-II programs.

Carib Morris2029 6-2 W Carib Morris – South Forsyth
Carib’s MVP candidacy took another step toward repeating as the league’s top player, posting 17 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks in a 41-36 win against Lanier. Morris sank just one three, but was crafty in the pivot, savvy in the mid-range with step-back one-legged fadeaways and again impressed with her terrific court vision. The Pink Mamba well warrants her five-star national ranking.

Michelle Ezumah2027 5-11 F Michelle Ezumah – Lanier
Lanier had some missed opportunities throughout the game which prevented them from upsetting South Forsyth but Michelle Ezumah played a big role in keeping the game competitive throughout. Battling Carib Morris, Michelle held her own tallying 11 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals and 4 blocks. She scored on three quick drives and had a left-handed finish in the post for her final hoop. D-II programs are quietly picking up the pace with their recruitment.

Rowan McGrath2028 5-4 G Rowan McGrath – East Forsyth
Rowan bounced back in a big way from Week 1, totaling 12 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals in a 46-21 win over Denmark. McGrath cashed in on a pair of corner threes. She scored in transition by running the floor and also added a drive out of a baseline out of bounds opportunity. East Forsyth is extremely dangerous with Rowan is able to contribute offensively with her multi-level scoring attack.

Harmony LaMark2029 5-8 SG Harmony LaMark – Denmark
With Jadyn Shepard out of town on a visit to West Florida, Harmony LaMark stepped up in a major way. The lanky guard listed at 5-foot-8 looks much taller with her length. She can be a pesky defender with her reach and ability to tip passes but where Harmony’s biggest value lies comes from behind the three-point line. LaMark is primed for a breakthrough sophomore season. The quick-release shooter drilled four first half threes against East Forsyth, finishing with a game-high 13 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal. LaMark drilled a pull-up and hit the rest of her threes off the catch. With Shepard out, Harmony had to handle more lead guard duties than normal. Her game is still growing in that area, but she displayed sweeping crossovers to change direction and was able to make a few nice kick outs upon penetration. As her off the dribble game continues to improve, it will open up a whole new dimension of her offensive game which will drastically raise her sneaky ceiling.

Izzie Jabaley
2027 5-6 PG Izzie Jabaley – Fannin County
Izzie logged heavy minutes in her season debut as the Rebels needed every tick as Fannin County slowly climbed back, erasing a seven-point second half deficit to slip by Jackson County 41-33. Jabaley’s trademark pitch-ahead outlet passing torched the Panthers as the easy hoops kept Fannin County close. Izzie used her physicality throughout the game sporadically as she turned corners to get to floaters and short jumpers in the lane. Her poise and leadership accounted for 8 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals while facing faceguards the entire game.

Bryleigh Pittmon2030 5-10 F Bryleigh Pittmon – Jackson County
The freshman shook off a brief slow start to provide Jackson County with production across the board in a narrow loss to Fannin County, recording 7 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 5 steals and 1 block. Pittmon attempted and made the only free throw of the game for the Panthers as the paint-centric approach of Jackson County still resulted in getting out shot at the line 17-1. Bryleigh attacked the basket and unselfishly dropped off assists inside and kicked out to shooters. Her defense in the Triangle-and-Two manning the high post resulted in numerous steals. Continuing to trust her footwork in the pivot with counter moves while maintaining a scorer’s mindset will lead to tons of free throws during the regular season. Her reliability as a rebounder should put her in a position to flirt with double-doubles throughout the season.

Amiyah Fambro2028 5-8 W Amiyah Fambro – Jackson County
Amiyah came off the bench to post a game-high 12 points, 2 rebounds and 1 assist. Fambro knocked down two long jumpers and mixed in strong, under control drives to the rim. Most impressive was her offensive efficiency. Her shot selection was smart as she played to her strengths. When Fambro nails down her consistency and focus, she could emerge as a legitimate college prospect.

2030 5-3 G Ana-Sophia Spindola – Jackson County
2030 5-4 G Morgan Bell – Jackson County
Missing two starters, the freshman tandem was pressed into duty and assigned the difficult and important task of chasing around Fannin County’s All-State point guard Izzie Jabaley and emerging star Toccoa Hampton in both the Triangle-and-Two and Box-and-One. The duo set the tone for the Panthers with their effort and hustle defensively. Spindola in her fall league debut coming off injury, logged huge minutes alongside Bell as they communicated and competed at a high level. The freshmen’s impact was much greater than what the box score could account for as they were quick to dive for loose balls and helped handle the ball on offense. Combined, they tallied 2 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals, helping the Panthers lead for the vast majority of the game before a banked in three sparked a Fannin County comeback midway through the second half.
