Bristol Davis2029 5-10 W Bristol Davis – Union County
Bristol thoroughly dominated as Union County remained unblemished, holding off Fannin County 51-48. The Rebels had no answer for the high motor inside-out swingman as she poured in 28 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist and 3 steals. Davis drilled three threes and went 5-7 from the foul line. A lanky rebounder with an uncoachable nose for the ball, Bristol scored on three putbacks. She scored with her left hand and put pressure on the defense with her dribble drive game. Davis is in the midst of an ascent; her stock grows weekly.

Toccoa Hampton2028 5-6 G Toccoa Hampton – Fannin County
Toccoa Hampton is the real deal. With Izzie Jabaley on a visit at Truett McConnell, the junior once again got to show what she can do in an unquestioned lead role, exploding for 24 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal in a narrow loss to Union County. Toccoa is a gamer – tough as nails. Hampton involves herself in every play. She’s a great offensive rebounder for her size, an impressive leaper who snatches rebounds with two hands. Her three-point shot was locked in on Saturday, burying four triples. Toccoa added a short pull-up jumper along the baseline and converted on three putbacks. College programs need to start buying stock in Toccoa now. It’s hard to believe she wasn’t All-Region last year. In a more prominent role now, I think she could even contend for Player of the Year votes in Region 7-2A if she carries over this level of production into the regular season. Hampton is a dog.

Lilly Abbott2028 5-6 G Lilly Abbott – Dawson County
The lefty was her typical self in a 48-39 win over Denmark. Lilly was a monster with her physical coast-to-coast downhill attack. Abbott routinely got to the left side of the floor, absorbing contact and dishing out punishment on her way to the rim. Lilly shot 7-10 from the foul line and netted a three-pointer as part of her 24 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 1 block performance. She mixed in a transition pull-up from the mid-range to pair with her six other field goals in the paint. When Abbott sets her mind to getting somewhere on the floor, it’s extremely difficult for defenders to prevent from succeeding.

Jadyn Shepard2028 5-6 PG Jadyn Shepard – Denmark
Jadyn came out of the gates firing against Dawson County sinking two early threes, finishing with three long balls on the morning. Shepard can be a bit streaky with her shot, but once she sees a basket fall, she’s liable to go on explosive individual scoring runs. Jadyn was ultra-aggressive, especially once Harmony LaMark was unable to return to play. Shepard hunted her pull-up jumper, netting four of them, two from beyond the arc. Jadyn was effective upon penetrating, drawing fouls as she shot 8-10 from the stripe. An underrated aspect of Shepard’s game is her floor vision. She’s always looking to hit streaking teammates down the lane in transition settings. Shepard tallied 21 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists in the nine-point loss.

2028 5-7 F India Lee – Denmark
India had a breakout performance against Dawson County providing a major spark off the bench as she used her strength and subtle quickness to get to the basket. Lee looked to score on offense whenever she caught in the high post and in. She utilized drop steps to set herself up for makable attempts. India scored twice on drives, finishing with 7 points and 3 rebounds.

Calleigh Salvador2028 5-4 PG Calleigh Salvador – South Forsyth
With Carib Morris sidelined, Calleigh Salvador and the rest of the backcourt stepped up, orchestrating a lopsided 68-34 win over East Forsyth. Calleigh was presidential with her play, unflappable and efficient as she drilled five of South Forsyth’s 12 threes. Salvador led with purpose, providing a game-high 17 points, 2 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal and 1 block.

Ana Anzola2028 5-7 G Ana Anzola – South Forsyth
Ana was unleashed with a throwback performance piling in 15 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 steal. The southpaw was at her best offensively, scoring from all levels. She nailed a three-pointer, hit a pull-up jumper, scored on a putback, finished both a right-handed and left-handed layup and went 4-4 from the foul line. With her physical strength, Anzola has the upside to become a tough downhill attacker to go along with a marksman from distance. Now healthy, Ana could be an X-Factor this season for the War Eagles.

Dylan Austin2027 5-8 G Dylan Austin – South Forsyth
While she may not be a focal point of the offense per say, Dylan Austin is still an integral glue guy for South Forsyth with the skill to burn teams who don’t key in on her on the scouting report. In a 68-34 win against East Forsyth, Austin got loose with 13 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 block. A great hustler, Dylan plays big for her size with how she is able to rebound and defend. Her versatility offensively resulted in buckets with both hands. She scored in transition with her left hand and got on the glass for a left-handed putback. Dylan finished off an And-1 drive and drilled a pair of three-pointers, one a step-back off the dribble. The veteran is sneakily impactful on both ends of the floor.

Avynn Kniceley2027 5-7 PG Avynn Kniceley – South Forsyth
Making her season debut, the jetsetter set the tone with her relentless defense. Kniceley swiped away steals and made plays with the ball in her hands on offense. Avynn picked up full court to provide stifling defense, converting a steal into a layup to start her day. Kniceley added a pull-up three and bookended her performance with a pretty scoop layup to finish with 7 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 6 steals. Avynn’s energy is infectious. Her motor has been a constant since Day 1.

2031 5-4 G Madison Shirley – East Forsyth
The eighth grader was a nice bright spot for East Forsyth against South Forsyth. Madison held her own against a slew of grizzled veterans. Shirley was immediately aggressive when she was inserted into the game. The athletic long-armed guard who is sure to grow some more showcased a knockdown jumper, burying three threes in the second half to finish with 9 points and 4 rebounds. Saturday’s experience was invaluable for her growth.

Michelle Ezumah2027 5-11 F Michelle Ezumah – Lanier
Ezumah wore down Jackson County in the second half once the Longhorns helped break the box. Following an eight-point first half, Michelle erupted in the second to close with 25 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 5 steals and 3 blocks. Ezumah was too big and too athletic to contend with. She scored on single coverage post ups and went coast-to-coast for numerous And-1s. Oglethorpe was in to watch her dominance.

2028 5-2 PG London Hughes – Lanier
With just five players available, London played the full 40 minutes and had a career day against Jackson County. Hughes sank a pair of threes in the first half, part of Lanier’s five which all came in the opening 20 minutes to build a 35-19 halftime advantage. Hughes sank jumper after jumper and dropped in floaters as she accounted for 22 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist and 1 steal in the 62-35 win. Hughes has been trending up over the course of the fall league. Undersized, London uses her lack of height to her advantage as she’s able to handle the ball in traffic with out turning it over. Her shot making along the perimeter is a real weapon as is her defensive pressure.

Madelyn Drucker2028 5-7 PG Madelyn Drucker – Jackson County
Madelyn was a silver lining against Lanier. Drucker had a vintage performance as she was in attack mode from the beginning of the game, not only with her jump shot but also with her downhill drives. Madelyn used her strong frame to get into the paint to both score and rebound. She shot the ball well from distance with three three-pointers. The three-year starter’s vocal leadership in timeouts and suggested in-game adjustments were savvy. Drucker tallied 15 points and 8 rebounds.
