JaCari Glover2026 6-4 F JaCari Glover – New Hampstead
Expect there to be some traction in JaCari Glover’s recruitment once he becomes an upperclassman. I love the way Glover uses his body and attacks rebounds. The physical presence entered off the bench and immediately provided a spark for the Phoenix by getting on the glass. JaCari scores with both hands and showcased a baseline jumper. His ability to steal multiple possessions with his offensive rebounding will play a big role down the stretch for New Hampstead. In a 49-41 win over Southeast Bulloch, Glover provided 8 points, 8 rebounds and 2 steals. This offseason will be big for JaCari.

2025 6-5 W Kentavius Woodbury – New Hampstead
The springy lefty helped New Hampstead pull away in the third quarter, netting a corner three, a putback and a mid-range jumper from the high post, extending the Phoenix’s advantage to 42-34 heading into the fourth. Woodbury’s activity around the rim led to a handful of offensive rebounds, able to sky above crowds to corral loose balls. Kentavius’ inside-out scoring can create some mismatches. He’s a solid perimeter shooter that can explode to the rim on shoddy closeouts. Woodbury sank three jumpers in total as he finished with 13 points, 8 rebounds and 1 assist. With his size, athleticism, versatility and another year to develop, Woodbury could start popping up on college radars.

2024 5-9 PG Toland Daughtry – New Hampstead
I loved how Toland was able to slow things down and control the action. His court vision accounted for a bulk of New Hampstead’s points in a low scoring 49-41 victory over Southeast Bulloch. Toland attacked the Yellow Jacket 1-3-1 with a plan in mind. He probed the sides of the zone, taking one or two penetrative dribbles in before kicking the ball back to the top of the key or swinging opposite for open three-point attempts. Toland tallied 5 points, 3 rebounds, 8 assists and 2 steals. His solving of the zone led to the Phoenix finally getting into a flow, especially in the third quarter after a sluggish start.

2024 6-1 G Zach Wells – Southeast Bulloch
Wells is wired to score. He’s got touch when it comes to getting downhill and finishing in crowds. Out of his nine made baskets, eight came at the rim on drives. Zach tossed in a pair of floaters, scored on cuts curling to the hoop and finished coast-to-coast. Opening up his game with his outside shot will broaden his horizons offensively. He sank one three-pointer but struggled at the foul line going 0-5. Zach’s consistent ability to slink his way to the rim makes him a reliable option for the Yellow Jackets. Wells finished with a game-high 19 points and 3 assists.

2024 6-3 G Joshua Quarterman – Johnson-Savannah
The spotlight has been on Josh Quarterman this season, going from Robin to Batman with the graduation of Antonio Baker. Quarterman has proved capable of playing a leading role, the wiry guard a smooth scorer that can provide points from multiple spots. Josh has a steady approach with a strong overall floor game. His athleticism shines as he rotates over for blocks, elevates for rebounds and uses his vertical to explode to the rim. He had three slams in a 59-56 win over Long County, sparked by a tip jam that ignited a nine-point opening quarter. On Wednesday, Quarterman found all his points in the paint. Facing a triangle and two defense, the Blue Tide tried to keep the ball out of Josh’s hands the best they could. The Atomsmashers solved the defense on occasion by posting up Quarterman, feeding him the ball and then having someone cut backside once a trap rotated over, leaving Josh to rack up assists. Quarterman finished with 17 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal and 3 blocks. Josh is a legit college prospect that JUCO, NAIA and D-III programs should get involved with.

 2025 6-1 G Favion Kirkwood – Johnson-Savannah
The second target of Long County’s triangle and two, Kirkwood busted the defense up with a big second half, netting 14 of his game-high 19 points to add to his 3 rebounds. Favion is a physically strong guard that uses his power to get to the rim. He spun off defenders and showed the ability to use sharp eurosteps in traffic. When Kirkwood gets a head of steam toward the basket, he is tough to stop. He made things happen off the catch and off the bounce, able to get to his spots but also open up the floor with his three-point shot. Favion netted a pair of threes to balance his slashes to the basket. As Joshua Quarterman did this year, don’t be surprised to see Kirkwood continue his progress and emerge as one of the city’s top players his senior season.

2024 5-10 G Kaleel Anderson – Long County
Kaleel came out of the gates hot, sinking two three-pointers. The lean lefty is a high-energy player that takes no plays off. He picks up full court and was tasked with defending Favion Kirkwood, who had a significant size and strength advantage. The pesky Anderson took away airspace and made it difficult for the Atomsmashers to routinely run their offense. Offensively, Kaleel served as a shifty downhill playmaker that was able to squeeze through the defense to finish at the rim. Anderson went for a team-high 14 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 5 steals.

2024 5-10 G Keshawn Smith – Long County
Another scrappy guard, Keshawn Smith helped organize the Long County offense while impacting the game on defense. Smith found success getting to the foul line, shooting 4-7. He scored on two drives and opened up his night with a one-dribble pull-up three-pointer. Keshawn wasn’t afraid to mix it up in the painted area, pulling down rebounds in traffic. The football recruit with multiple offers tallied 11 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 steals and 1 block.

2024 6-0 G Roderick Randall – Long County
It was a tale of two halves for Roderick. He couldn’t buy a basket in the first half other than a dunk, missing open looks from distance as the Blue Tide struggled for traction down 24-20 at the half. The third quarter was much of the same but once the fourth quarter hit, Randall found his mark. Roderick caught fire, scoring 12 points in the fourth quarter to spark a comeback, closing the game on a 17-9 run. The streaky shooter’s confidence rose upon seeing the ball go in the basket, netting three three-pointers. Randall has a quick release, able to fire before the Atomsmashers could close out effectively. Roderick finished with 14 points, 4 rebounds and 1 assist. The Blue Tide would ultimately fall short, free throws haunting them shooting 10-21 from the line in a 59-56 loss, but Long County’s effort till the final buzzer and Randall’s switch-flipping scoring ability makes Long County dangerous in Class 3A.

2024 6-5 W Dominic Eason – Toombs County
Off to one of their best starts in school history at 17-2, Toombs County has relied on Dominic Eason to be their trump card against any stiff competition. The 6-foot-5 wing is a true do-everything star for the Bulldogs. He’s an elite athlete, possibly the best leaper I’ve seen all season. Pair Eason’s explosiveness with his high motor and you get an All-State level performer. In a 52-37 blowout of Dublin, Eason was unstoppable, playing just three quarters as the Bulldogs led 44-19 heading into the fourth. Dominic did a great job ducking in for high-low seals, providing an entry hand for over the top lobs. The springy forward is so quick off the ground on second jumps, making him a nightmare to keep off the backboard. Dom is a threat at all times to catch alley-oops as the Bulldogs look to set him up for backdoor lobs. Eason had four dunks on the day, two in transition, one a baseline out of bounds lob and the other an alley-oop off the backboard. Eason showed the ability to make plays with the ball in his hands. He can drive baseline and whip passes to the corner for threes. Dominic himself is also a dangerous shooter, netting a corner three. Defensively, he closes out and contests shots with both hands using a max vertical to erase the vision of the shooter. Eason poured in a loud 23 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 1 block. The 3.4 GPA student holds offers from Brewton-Parker, Florida Gateway, Bishop State, South Georgia Tech, Iowa Central, Gordon State, Cleveland Community College and South Georgia State College. The dynamic athlete has a chance to be an impactful player at the next level. I wouldn’t be surprised if NAIA and D-II schools get in the mix soon.

2026 6-6 F Parker Stanley – Toombs County
Parker didn’t score, but his size, physicality and athleticism caught my eye. The sophomore has a rock-solid frame and can play above the rim. On Friday, he served as a rim protector against the smaller Irish, altering and blocking shots. Parker finished with 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 3 blocks. Expect next year for Stanley to emerge as a more prominent figure in the offense. While he has had a handful of double-digit scoring efforts this season, that could be the norm next year if he continues to develop.

2025 5-10 G Tristian Bell – Dublin
I appreciated the energy Tristian played with. Dublin could have rolled over and lost by 30 points, but the Irish played hard till the final buzzer, pressing in the fourth quarter to narrow the lead against Toombs County’s backups. Bell led the Irish at point guard, running the show and pushing the tempo. He was able to use his defense to spark his offense, scoring off two steals while finding his other hoops by running the floor, scoring on a drive and an And-1 floater in the halfcourt. Bell finished with 11 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals.

2025 5-9 G Isaiah Philyaw – Dublin
Though the scoreboard showed defeat, Isaiah Philyaw didn’t backdown from the challenge of trying to slow down Dominic Eason, the burly guard bodying up against the dynamite athlete who had a massive physical advantage. Philyaw mixed it up on defense and provided his best offense as a drive and dish distributor inside. Isaiah tallied 2 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal.

2024 6-0 G Jaedon McClendon – Dodge County
It doesn’t take long to identify who the head of the snake is for Dodge County. Jaedon McClendon is the floor general for the Indians, first in command with the ball in his hands. He is a strong athlete, packed with muscle. McClendon bursts to the rim and utilizes his 40-inch vertical to hang and finish in the air. The attacking facilitator started to search for his offense more as the game wore on, scoring 16 points in the second half to lead Dodge County past East Laurens 76-60. Boogie consistently was able to get penetration, draw in the defense and find the open man. As a scorer, most of his points came at the rim, but Jaedon also netted a three-pointer and a pull-up jumper while going 6-8 from the line. McClendon tallied 23 points, 2 rebounds, 7 assists and 1 steal. The lefty is a tough-nosed playmaker that makes others around him better. He’s worthy of some small school looks.

2025 6-4 G Rashund Washington – East Laurens
Rashund did everything he could to keep the Falcons in the game. No longer a secret, Washington started gaining fanfare while playing with Team Scoot on the travel ball circuit. The bouncy big guard has all the measurables that college programs covet. Rashund is long, versatile and active. He is a long strider when he gets downhill, drawing contact and finishing with both hands, shooting 7-10 from the foul line. Washington attacks from all levels. He will shoot with deep range from beyond the arc and can also get to his spots in the mid-range, netting three pull-ups including a tough contested turnaround jumper where he was able to rise and fire over the defender’s reach. Rashund has to do a little bit of everything for the Falcons, a high usage rate on both ends of the floor. Staying even-keeled will benefit him as a few times you could see him getting frustrated. In total, Washington piled in 29 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 blocks. D-I schools will want to take a look. Don’t be surprised if Washington takes off this summer and lands some offers.
