No. 7 Grayson is surging, knocking off No. 3 Archer in overtime 57-54 behind Tatum Brown’s 17 points, dropping the Tigers one spot as the Rams rise two more places. No. 2 Norcross climbs two spots after knocking Peachtree Ridge (18-5) out of the Top 10 with a 51-38 road win. No. 4 North Paulding leaps three spots winning at No. 9 Hillgrove 49-46, plummeting the Hawks six positions. After sitting quietly at the bottom of the poll for the majority of the season, No. 5 South Forsyth jolts up three slots following a 64-48 win at Lambert, Clara Morris (19) and Sharon Tolliver (18) combining for 37 points. No. 6 Buford had to use a 27-6 fourth quarter to rally past Central Gwinnett 65-49 but saw a lead slip away against Class 4A No. 3 Holy Innocents’ in a 64-57 loss, causing the Wolves to fall a spot in the poll. Replacing Peachtree Ridge is No. 10 Cherokee, resurfacing in the Top 10 for the first time since Week 1. The Warriors navigated a difficult non-region schedule with an inexperienced team and have now found their groove, winning 10-straight including blowing past North Cobb 52-34 as Wofford-commit Toni Warren and Riley Simmons scored 14 points apiece.

No. 2 Lovejoy captured the one-seed out of the vaunted Region 3-6A, putting the finishing touches on their 11-game winning streak by beating No. 3 Woodward Academy 58-51 after defeating Class A D-I No. 1 St. Francis 75-63. No. 8 North Forsyth is back to dominating Region 8, winning at Gainesville 54-25 before avenging their lone region loss, crushing Habersham Central 71-29 behind Valdosta State-signee Erin Whalen’s 24 points. No. 9 Veterans lost 53-43 at No. 10 Tift County.

The dust has settled in Region 1-5A as No. 4 Bradwell Institute has emerged with the coveted one-seed, finishing 9-1. The Tigers pounded No. 9 Statesboro 59-32 after the Blue Devils lost 54-47 at No. 5 Greenbrier and won at No. 8 Ware County 43-41, part of Statesboro’s grueling three-game road trip. Outside of Region 1, No. 7 Arabia Mountain handled their business against Decatur, pulling away for a 66-48 victory led by Malaya Jones’ 27 points, 6 assists and 6 steals. No. 10 Calhoun drops three spots after losing 45-43 at Hiram in a rematch after beating the Hornets 61-42 previously.

Class 4A No. 3 Holy Innocents’ got a substantial road win, rallying past Class 7A No. 6 Buford 64-57 as the Golden Bears erased a 12-point deficit. Princeton-signee Olivia Hutcherson was unstoppable with 29 points and 19 rebounds. No. 5 Hardaway swept the season series with No. 10 Westover winning 54-44. Even with Emmanuel-signee Kristina Peach likely out for the season, No. 8 North Hall went 2-0 this week without their leading scorer beating Cherokee Bluff 42-39 and East Forsyth 58-55 to claim the sub-region title. No. 9 Walnut Grove scored a pair of blowout wins and will travel to North Hall on Tuesday.

The Region 7-3A race is tight with No. 2 Lumpkin County still in front at 10-1 after drilling No. 6 Pickens 59-36 and winning at Dawson County 53-39. Pickens, currently the four-seed at 6-4, is up two spots in the poll after beating No. 5 White County 56-44, the Warriors now 7-3 in the three-hole after three-quick losses against the other best three teams in the region. White County can still play spoiler as they travel to Lumpkin County on Friday while No. 3 Wesleyan, 8-2, has road games at Pickens and Dawson County on Tuesday and Friday.

In Class 2A, No. 3 Banks County had to go on the road and claw past Athens Academy, down three after three quarters before escaping 38-36. No. 4 Thomson won a shootout with Laney 82-80, withstanding 41 points from Kiara Turner as Jada Kendrick delivered 33 points, 15 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals of her own. No. 5 Josey won at No. 10 Butler 41-35 before the Bulldogs lost 62-60 at Laney, sinking them two spots. No. 8 Murray County hasn’t lost since Carson-Newman-signee Mattie Nuckolls’ return to the lineup, this time surviving Fannin County in Blue Ridge, 52-51 as Nuckolls compiled 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks.

Class A D-I saw No. 1 St. Francis lose 75-63 at Class 6A No. 2 Lovejoy while No. 2 Galloway dominated No. 8 Mt. Pisgah 74-40 behind Oglethorpe-signee Allison Hoffmann’s 17 points. No. 3 Rabun County drilled reeling Athens Christian on the road 64-39 as Lucy Hood posted 23 points and 5 assists. No. 4 Elbert County pulled away late at Athens Christian for a 59-46 victory and now hosts Rabun County on Tuesday with a chance to gain a share of first-place in Region 8 and force a tie-breaker scenario. No. 5 Woodville-Tompkins scored a huge win over Hilton Head Christian Academy, SC 62-57, just the South Carolina power’s second loss of the year after they had beaten the Wolverines 69-55 back in December. Sanai Chisholm had 16 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists while Janiyah Heyward collected 15 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists and Brianna Pelote anchored the paint with 15 points, 12 rebounds and 6 blocks. Heard County (14-6) flopped, 0-2 and out of the rankings after one week following a 53-47 loss at Temple and a 53-51 overtime loss at home against No. 6 Lamar County. No. 9 Bacon County swept Pelham with a 37-34 win. Back in the poll is No. 10 Darlington who captured the one-seed out of Region 7 by beating Trion 44-33.

The current landscape of Class A D-II is shifting a bit with injuries playing a factor. No. 1 Lake Oconee Academy atoned for their earlier loss against No. 6 Towns County, winning 54-33 as Georgia Bosart returned to action after missing their first meeting. Bosart tallied 9 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 steal while Jada Williams led the Titans with 18 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals. Schley County (17-4) drops all the way out with Jesstynie Scott sidelined with an injury. The Wildcats lost 49-31 at newly ranked No. 8 Manchester before getting thumped by No. 4 Taylor County 59-35. Manchester also scored a signature win at Class 5A 16-7 Harris County, 44-38. No. 3 Montgomery County eked out a 32-29 win over Jenkins County while No. 5 Clinch County lost 53-52 at Coffee, dropping the Panthers a spot. Randolph-Clay (16-7) slips out with a 42-37 loss to Terrell County, making way for No. 10 Macon County to return to the poll after two weeks out. The Bulldogs hammered Central-Talbotton 79-37 before beating Calhoun County 46-32.
