With summer ball winding down, here’s an early preview of some of the top players in the GHSA’s newly formed Class 6A.

C'India Dennis2027 5-5 G C’India Dennis – Creekside
Working her way back from an ACL tear, whenever CeCe is deemed healthy, she immediately will enter the discussion as not only a Player of the Year candidate, but Miss Georgia Basketball if she is as effective as she was her first two healthy seasons, the latter resulting in a perfect 32-0 season. Dennis’ junior season came to an abrupt end at the end of Game 2 of the season on November 15. In wins over Tri-Cities and Sandy Creek, C’India averaged 36.5 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals per game. Dennis’ elusiveness with the ball, three-level scoring and ability to make everyone around her better is what makes her so special. The dynamic blue-chip prospect holds offers from Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Central Florida and Iowa State among many others.

2027 6-5 W Janiyah Weaver – Morrow
Starting to come into her own, Janiyah has skyrocketed up recruiting boards this offseason as one of the top stock risers in the country. Weaver has elite size with unique guard skills. While she is still on the slender side, she has added weight throughout her career and plays with functional strength. Janiyah creates mismatches all over the floor. She’s a threat to score in the paint whether on post ups or putbacks but is also smooth enough to attack from the perimeter off the dribble and with her outside shot. D-I schools of all levels have jumped in the mix to recruit, ranging from High Major programs to Low Majors.

MacKenzee Williams2027 5-9 G MacKenzee Williams – Woodward Academy
Memphis offered back in 2025 with more bids sure to follow. Williams’ aggressive nature toward the rim coupled with her size and athleticism are what led to a breakout junior season averaging 22.9 points, 8.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 5.6 steals and 1.3 blocks. MacKenzee has great body control downhill, absorbing contact to finish at the hoop. A quick first step and an explosive vertical allow her to score efficiently. While her bread is buttered inside the arc (235-377; 62%), Williams is also extremely steady from the three-point line, shooting 41-112 (37%).

2027 6-0 G Gabriella Benjamin – Lakeside-DeKalb
One of the most underrated scoring machines in Georgia, Gabriella has a D-I ceiling with her explosive scoring touch. Standing 6-foot tall, Benjamin is a tough-shot maker who sprays jumpers from all over. DeKalb County’s top scorer averaged 21.5 points, 10.7 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 4.3 steals and 1.8 blocks while shooting 93-276 (34%) from beyond the arc. With an immense pressure to score or create a basket for a teammate nearly every possession, Benjamin can sometimes be forced into making tough plays but more often than not it ends up working in her favor. I’d love to see how Gabriella would do playing consistent minutes with other players her caliber. She’s a hidden gem who needs just a little more refinement and exposure.

Nimah Ibidunni2027 6-2 F Nimah Ibidunni – Alexander
When it comes to low post play, Nimah Ibidunni is just as impactful as others in Georgia receiving Power 4 offers. Nimah has great footwork inside with a variety of moves. She scores with her back to the basket but is also a threat to face up and showcase her nimble footwork to get to the rim. Ibidunni is a solid shooter with range starting to expand to the three-point line. She’s a mismatch in the high post with quick spins to the basket when she’s not shooting or facilitating. Defensively, Nimah alters shots and can rise up to block taller opponents in key spots. Coming off a junior season in which she averaged 19.9 points, 10.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.9 steals, Ibidunni has racked up offers from Little Rock, Stetson, William & Mary, Princeton and Louisiana Tech over the offseason.

Finley Parker2027 6-3 F Finley Parker – River Ridge
The Indiana-commit is a legit inside-out scoring machine. Parker has great strength when posting up down low, adding muscle each and every season which allows her to pound away on the block to finish with either hand. Finley does well sealing and uses her footwork and strong elbows to drop step toward the basket to draw fouls and convert And-1s. On the perimeter, Parker is a top-notch catch-and-shoot floor spacer. Her vast array of skills out of high ball screens lead to endless scoring opportunities as either a diver, short roller or popper. Finley averaged 19.6 points, 9.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.2 blocks per game last season. Her usage rate should be through the roof this season with her numbers upticking even more but with that, expect her to face plenty of double teams whenever she touches the ball inside the arc.

Carly Bass2027 6-0 G Carly Bass – Sequoyah
Carly Bass’ maturity has helped elevate Sequoyah to a state title contending level. She nearly raised her production across the board her junior season, averaging 19.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.1 steals per game. At 6-foot, the big guard is one of the deadliest shooters in the state with her range and size to shoot over contests. Bass sank 92-284 (32%) threes a season ago and is always a shot away from going on a scoring binge to swing momentum with her jumper. While her three-point shot is her most noteworthy weapon, Bass has gotten better at using her size and strength to make things happen downhill. She’s a smooth finisher with both hands utilizing a crafty package of layups. Defensively, her length helps swallow up smaller guards as she earns deflections and steals. Offers are beginning to pile up with North Alabama, Jacksonville State, Boston, Kennesaw State and Wofford the latest.

Deyva Davis2027 5-8 PG Deyva Davis – Milton
Deyva is one of the most electric two-way point guards in the state. Her overall athleticism, able to defend baseline-to-baseline and sideline-to-sideline makes her an intimidating presence. She’s quick to pounce on any sloppy ball handling, converting steals into breakaway layups. Davis has tremendous speed in the open floor, a quick finisher with both hands. When attacking downhill in the halfcourt, she’s comfortable making decisions off two feet whether to score or kick out to shooters. Her three-point shot has blossomed over the course of her career. Davis averaged 18.9 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 2.5 steals as a junior. Longwood offered in March.
