Coahulla Creek (17-13; Elite 8)
Fresh off a historic run, the Colts have their top two players back, both seniors, led by Preseason Second Team All-State pick 5-foot-5 sparkplug Greenlee Lumpkin who dumped in 16.7 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 2.5 steals per game along with 5-foot-9 guard Kayden Stuckey, a Second Team All-Region pick a year ago. The Colts have size and athleticism up front in 6-foot senior Alyce Norton, an Evansville volleyball-commit.
Ringgold (16-13; First Round)
Doug Wasden takes over the Ringgold job, coming over from First Presbyterian Day bringing his daughter Ava with him to join a roster that has two First Team All-Region selections back. 5-foot-7 senior shooter Jersey-Rae Loy is a Third Team Preseason All-State pick. Keeley Mountjoy will play a big role again in her final season in an extremely difficult Region 7.
Lumpkin County (18-10; Sweet 16)
The core of seniors 6-foot Reagan Richardson and 5-foot-6 Anna Davis along with 6-foot junior EK Reese is a strong foundation to build off of in a challenging Region 8. Graduating Maddie Lee is a major blow due to her size and versatility handling the ball. Losing incoming freshman Aniyah Young hurts a ton as well. Finding guard play and depth outside of their top three will be critical for the Indians. Violet Greene and Keira Jackson could play important roles.
KIPP Atlanta (15-13; First Round)
The Warriors have their top three back between juniors Chassity Woods, Ava Raford and Cam’myiah Kindell. Woods took a major step forward last season, earning First Team All-Region 5-2A honors while Raford nabbed Second Team. If Kindell can regain her form from her freshman year when she averaged 22 points per game, KIPP could be scary. She fell to Honorable Mention last season.
