2028 5-7 G Haley Ryczek – Redline Jones – Buford
Maybe the most impactful player in Redline’s 62-42 win over the Tennessee Lady Impact was one of the few that didn’t score a single point. Trailing 8-0 early on, Redline eventually went to the press and inserted Haley Ryczek into the game. From that point on, everything changed as Haley’s immense energy was infectious. Ryczek pressured the ball the full length of the court, hounding the opposition into turnovers as she harassed the Lady Impact with her activity and lateral speed. Haley hustled everywhere, quick to dive on the floor and to fly out of bounds to steal possessions. It is rare to watch a game so heavily influenced by a defensive menace. Ryczek’s dedication to her role as a sparkplug, putting her team first instead of worries about her own scoring output is admirable. Haley collected 7 rebounds, 2 assists and a game-high 4 steals off the bench.
2028 5-4 G Calleigh Salvador – Redline Jones – South Forsyth
Part of a 14-three barrage that turned an early 8-0 deficit into a 62-42 win over Tennessee Lady Impact, Calleigh thrived playing off the ball with six three-pointers, finishing with a game-high 20 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal. Usually tasked with being more of a primary ball handler, Salvador has taken compete advantage of playing alongside Blaklee Ledford and other high-level playmakers, allowing her to float off the ball to bury catch-and-shoot threes. Calleigh has a bit of a unique shooting form, but it works for her. Pair her dangerous outside shot along with her crafty downhill attack and distribution and you get a complete guard that will play a major role in South Forsyth’s quest for a state title.
2028 5-8 G Ana Anzola – Redline Jones – South Forsyth
Health is the only thing that has held back Ana early on in her career. She missed last season due to injury but has worked hard to get back on the floor in time for travel ball. Anzola is a physically impressive guard, a powerful frame that could fit in at the college level today. The lefty’s explosive offense starts with her outside shot. She sank three threes against Tennessee Lady Impact en route to totaling 11 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. Continuing to add more dimensions to her game along with lateral quickness will help her hit her tantalizing ceiling. The most important ability is availability and with her injuries behind her, Anzola seems like a potential X-Factor for the War Eagles heading into next season after playing her freshman year at North Forsyth.

2028 5-11 W Leah Bryan – Redline Jones – North Forsyth
Leah has spurtability on offense. In the blink of an eye, she can get hot. She had a quick five-point flurry to finish the first half against the Tennessee Lady Impact and then drilled a pair of corner threes to finish with 11 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 1 block. The lefty has a lightning-quick release and has the natural ability to score with both hands as she is right-handed outside of basketball. Leah is most lethal in catch-and-shoot settings from the corners, but she also has a swift first step and is good at working the baseline for one-dribble pull-ups. Defensively, her length can be effective when contesting shots inside. Bryan has traits of a 3&D wing.
2028 5-5 PG Blaklee Ledford – Redline Jones – Murray County
With North Georgia and Young Harris among others watching, Blaklee was brilliant on Friday with her relentless pursuit of penetration. The Tennessee Lady Impact were unable to keep the slippery Ledford out of the paint as she consistently got two feet in the key, collapsing the defense. Blaklee sliced up the defense with her drive-and-kick prowess, a key orchestrator of Redline’s 14-three outburst as she dished to her shooters on the wings and the corners when she wasn’t getting all the way to the rack where she deftly was able to finish thrice with her left hand. The tough-nosed playmaker racked up 12 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals and 1 block. More and more schools are starting to catch on as Ledford’s stock is starting to simmer.
2029 5-11 G Ella David – FBC NextUp S40 – Oconee County
Ella’s robust offensive arsenal was on display in a blowout win over the Zone6 Celtics. Playing up in the 16U division, the rising sophomore had no issue manipulating defenders as she routinely was able to get to her spots. David’s tight handle featured behind the back moves into step-back threes giving her plenty of space to launch from well beyond the arc. Moving back into the high school season, David will need to be careful to keep her hand on top of the ball as strict officials could occasionally whistle her for palming. Ella cashed in on four threes and had a nifty And-1 finish off a spin move. David finished with 18 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals in the 64-32 win. The reigning Class 3A Freshman of the Year is among the most explosive 2029s in Georgia, coming off a season in which she averaged 25 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals per game.
2028 5-5 G Catherine Harris – FBC NextUp S40 – Norcross
It has been a productive offseason for Catherine Harris, a physical lead guard. Harris is strong with the ball. She plays under control with a methodical approach, craftily changing speeds as she likes to use hesitation moves while penetrating. Catherine makes things happen with her court vision and can also put up points when needed. She gets good lift on her jump shot which features a high release. The more consistent her shot becomes, the more dangerous of a scoring threat she will be. Against the Zone6 Celtics she banked in a three en route to filling up the box score with 7 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals and 1 block. I expect steady growth over her final two seasons as she is set to blossom into an covetable prospect.
2028 6-2 C Akudo Ojeme – FBC NextUp S40 – Providence Christian
You can’t teach height and Akudo has plenty of it. Ojeme is long, agile and athletic. She is still a little raw when it comes to playing through contact in the paint but she is effective with how she is able to spring up to snatch rebounds in traffic. The southpaw is on the fast track to rapidly improving with the valuable reps she has logged this offseason. As she gets more comfortable, I would like to see Ojeme be more aggressive on defense as she has all the tools to be a top-notch rim protector. Being consistently impactful with her length and leaping ability will skyrocket her stock. Akudo posted 7 points, 16 rebounds and 2 assists in a 64-32 win, scoring on a pair of putbacks and an And-1.
2028 5-11 F Elle Sellers – FBC NextUp S40 – Kell
I loved how hard Elle played on Friday. Sellers was everywhere, crashing the glass for offensive rebounds and seeking her offense with mid-range jumpers and quick-footed drives to the basket. Her athleticism and activity level helped set the tone against the Zone6 Celtics. Sellers finished with 4 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 1 block. Her effort alone should help her carve out more minutes her junior season after seeing sporadic playing time as a sophomore at Kell. It will be hard to keep her off the floor if she plays as hard as she did on Friday.
