The Storm spent five early weeks in the Top 10 last season before Region 8 A D-I wore them down, going 4-8 against tough competition. Providence Christian is stuck with the same crew of stingy opponents with Prince Avenue Christian a new adversary as well. Although it will once again be tough, at least the Storm have their top three players back between seniors Zoie Cameron (16.7 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 1.3 apg, 1.3 spg), Sazy Cantrell (13.8 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 1.6 apg) and 6-foot-2 junior Akudo Ojeme who is starting to attract D-I interest after averaging 6.1 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game. In a private division that lacks many legitimate Top 10 options, expect Providence Christian to be near first in line to jump into the Top 10 whenever a ranked team falters.
