With summer ball winding down, here’s an early preview of some of the top players in the GHSA’s newly formed Class 4A.

Kie'Aundria Acree2027 6-0 G Kie’Aundria Acree – Monroe
The five-star prospect is in hot pursuit of Georgia’s all-time scoring record just set this past season by North Carolina-signee Kate Harpring at 3,435. Acree enters her senior season 806 points shy of the mark after averaging 30.6 points, 12 rebounds, 6.1 assists, 4 steals and 2.6 blocks per game last year. Kie’Aundria has averaged video game-like numbers her entire career, soon to go down as the best player in South Georgia history and one of the greatest in state history. The high-usage guard plays 1-5. She’s skilled and crafty on post ups. Her speed with the ball blended with her ability to stop on a dime for pull-ups makes her shot difficult to contest. KJ is powerful to the rim, shooting 218-292 (75%) from the foul line last season while also netting 61-149 (41%) of her three-point attempts. Acree thrives in every aspect of the game.

Rhianna Boynton
2027 6-0 F Rhianna Boynton – Hardaway
When healthy, Rhianna is one of the most dominant post players in Georgia. The springy big was named Class 2A Player of the Year her sophomore season upon leading Hardaway to their first ever state title. A torn ACL limited Boynton to just the final nine games of the season last year, but the production over those nine games was enough to carry the Hawks back to Macon where they fell short of a repeat although no fault of Rhianna’s as she posted 23 points and 21 rebounds to coincide with averaging 17 points, 12.6 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 2.9 steals and 3.1 blocks upon her return. Second chance points are Boynton’s forte. Over 73 games in her career, Rhianna has averaged more offensive rebounds (5.1) than defensive rebounds (4.1), an astounding stat. The double-double machine somehow only has offers from Mercer and West Georgia.

Suri Clark2027 6-2 C Suri Clark – Baldwin
Suri has upped her numbers each and every season, inching closer to her sky-high ceiling. Clark has jumped from 2.7 points and 3.1 rebounds to 10.8 points and 7.7 rebounds to last season’s 16 points and 10.6 rebounds. College coaches will want to stay tuned for what Clark has for an encore. Physically speaking, Suri has one of the best builds in Georgia with her height, strength and athleticism. She can take over games in the paint when she puts her mind to it. There is still some untapped potential when it comes to stretching out her shooting range and overall perimeter skills. D-I schools should to be quietly tracking.

2027 6-3 C Naima Foster – Luella
Lafayette and Central Georgia Tech offered back in late December and early January, respectively. Foster anchored Luella last season with 12.3 points, 10.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 5.1 steals and 2 blocks per game. A surprise loss in the Sweet 16 cut the Lions’ chances of playing into March and in front of college coaches short. Naima should draw plenty of attention her senior season with her size and mobility. She attacks rebounds with two hands and is a reliable scorer in traffic. Foster finishes with both hands, adept at playing through contact. Her versatility defending in the paint and even on the perimeter against high ball screens is a translatable skill to the next level.

2028 5-8 PG Morghan Reckley – Sandy Creek
Denied a state title in shocking fashion in overtime last season, Sandy Creek returns reloaded this year as a near lock on paper to win it all behind five-star guard Morghan Reckley. The shifty playmaker now has elite scoring weapons around her as her assist totals will likely soar after pouring in 23.9 points, 7.4 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 4.7 steals per game last season. The bounce in Reckley’s step with her swift change of pace and direction with the ball can’t be replicated. Morghan can get to the rim whenever she wants with either hand. The blue chipper is a willing facilitator and a dangerous defender. Possibly the best prospect in all of Georgia regardless of grade, Reckley will be in the forefront of repeating as Player of the Year after winning it in Class 3A.

2028 6-0 W D’Arrah Mitchell – Sandy Creek
In from Centennial, NV where she earned recognition attending USA U16 National Team trials, D’Arrah Mitchell enters her junior season ranked No. 39 in the country according to ESPN. Texas Tech offered in June. Mitchell has great size with a robust fluid game. D’Arrah is comfortable picking apart defenses from the high post with her ability to catch, turn and attack. She shoots the ball well from the mid-range and can stretch the floor to the three-point line. Mitchell has the toughness to score off the bounce through contact on drives and is a reliable rebounder. Her length defensively should lead to plenty of deflections and steals in Year 1 in Georgia.

2030 5-10 SG Jordyn Avila – Sandy Creek
The freshman is pure offense. Jordyn is swimming in Power 4 offers before ever playing a regular season varsity game. Avila’s an elite shooter. Playing alongside Morghan Reckley, Avila will get an endless amount of catch-and-shoot looks. Avila’s got a one-dribble pull-up in her arsenal and is smooth downhill. It wouldn’t be shocking to see Jordyn lead Sandy Creek in scoring as a freshman. She already netted a 25-point performance against St. Francis at GBCA Live and has been among the top scorers all summer long in the EYBL 15U Division.

Lilly Abbott2028 5-5 G Lilly Abbott – Dawson County
The reigning Class 3A Most Improved Player went from relative obscurity to star player her sophomore season, upping her 1.7-point and 1.9-rebound per game stats as a freshman to 16.4 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 2 steals per game. The tough-nosed lefty scores from all three levels but it’s her motor that differentiates her from most. Lilly fills up the box score routinely. She is a tremendous rebounder for her size. Her competitiveness will land her on college radars in due time.

Ella David2029 5-11 G Ella David – Oconee County
The reigning Class 3A Freshman of the Year averaged 25 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals per game. Ella’s firepower is near the top of her class. Long and lanky, David is crafty with how she attacks defenders. She’s creative off the dribble with combo moves and has counters in her bag. David gets to her step-back jumper with ease and uses her height to her advantage when spinning back into fadeaway jumpers. Ella’s defense is an unsung part of her game along with her rebounding. Her offensive production will always be there. Her off-ball stats should continue to trend up. It shouldn’t take much longer for Ella to nab an offer.
