No. 9 Archer 64, Mountain View 52: Damoni Harrison finished with 21 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals. Major Freeman had 11 points and 7 assists. Mark Peah netted 11 points and Seth Means scored 9. The Bears were led by CJ Johnson’s 15 points and AJ Cheeks’ 9.

Etowah 70, A-PrivateNo. 3 Galloway 44: Dimitri Angelakos had 15 points, 6 rebounds and 3 steals while Josh Hughes produced 14 points and 7 rebounds. Brandon Rechsteiner (12), Jonah Hamilton (12) and Mason Etter (10) all reached double figures. Dajaun Devonish tallied 8 points, 4 rebounds and 3 steals. Galloway got 21 points and 10 rebounds from Anthony Arrington. Bradley Banner scored 9 points and Quentin Alterman posted 6 points and 5 assists.

Discovery 51, Dunwoody 47: Zailan Blue hit 5 threes and finished with 16 points. DeCourey McGowan netted 14 points. Byron Martin had 10 points and 5 steals. Darryl Walton chipped in 4 points, 8 rebounds, 3 steals and 3 blocks.

Forsyth Central 47, Denmark 34: Eli Chol posted 20 points while Aidan Nutty (9) and Cade Chitty (8) provided support.

South Forsyth 63, Lambert 59: Teddy Toth scored 13 points while Gabe Mullis had 10. Caleb Underwood and Brock Ferrell scored 7 each. Lambert received 15 points from Kennan Gagen and 14 from Niko Wilson. James Tyre (13) and Jack Whipple (10) chipped in.

Hillgrove 57, Holy Innocents’ 49: Bryce Chinn had 20 points in the loss while freshman Caleb Wilson collected 12 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals and 6 blocks.

No. 1 Newton 61, No. 9 Archer 60: Marcus Whitlock (18), UConn-commit Stephon Castle (17) and Miokaye Grant (11) led the Rams. Archer received 15 points apiece from Christian Drummer and Carl Anderson.

No. 5 North Gwinnett 70, Gainesville 42: Thomas Allard posted 22 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists while Dylan Gary scored 13 points. Duke Clayton had 11 points and Julian Walker recorded 8 points and 10 rebounds. Amaru Grosvenor chipped in 8 points.

Harrison 68, 5ANo. 5 Calhoun 64: Dylan Faulkner had 26 points, 5 rebounds and 2 blocks in the loss as Calhoun awaits the return of their football players. Jaylan Harris scored 18 points and Caden Schild netted 7.

South Gwinnett 51, Chattahoochee 42: Maalik Leitch (14), Kamren Heathington (13) and Jacob Washington (6) led the Comets. Tomiwa Adetosoye scored 11 points for the Cougars.

Discovery 73, Collins Hill 70: DeCourey McGowan had 24 points and 8 rebounds. Danu Baker chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds while Bryon Martin scored 9 points and Zailan Blue had 8.

South Forsyth 45, Walton 44: Teddy Toth hit 6 threes and finished with 18 points. Gabe Mullis had 8 points and 5 rebounds off the bench. Luke Flynn had 21 points and 5 rebounds for Walton. Harrison Morris added 8 points and 6 rebounds.

It was a busy week as the Jackson EMC Tip-Off Classic, Raider Classic, North Georgia Showcase, Hoops 4 Hunger and Insider Exposure Thanksgiving Classic down in Florida helped rearrange the state rankings as two classifications see new number ones and five classifications saw last week’s top team suffer a loss.
