MVP Favorites

Reese Lewis2026 5-11 PF Reese Lewis – Fannin County (4-0)
14.8 PPG – 7.5 RPG – 1 SPG
Reese has been one of the breakout stars this season with her consistency inside. Lewis runs the floor and gets her work done early when sealing for post position. Reese scores with both hands and has a variety of moves with her back to the basket. Her deft footwork allows her to maneuver past defenders for buckets. Lewis ranks second in the league in both scoring and rebounding. Only a junior, Reese is trending toward a D-II future.

Addison Rouse
2025 5-4 G Addison Rouse – East Forsyth (3-1)
14 PPG – 12 3PTM – 1.3 RPG – 1.5 APG – 1 SPG
Rouse ranks second in the league in three-pointers made and places third in scoring. Her outside shooting has elevated East Forsyth into being one of the most explosive offenses in the league. Addison has doubled her scoring output from last season (7.7 ppg) and has already matched her three-point total in just four weeks of play.

Avery Huffman
2025 5-5 SG Avery Huffman – Denmark (2-2)
16.5 PPG – 6 3PTM – 5 RPG – 1.5 APG – 1.5 SPG
Avery has hit the ground running after missing the first two weeks of the season. She has more work to do to climb up the MVP board, but with the Danes sitting at 2-2, anything is possible. The senior leader is averaging three three-pointers per game and leads the league in scoring. D-III programs William Peace and Eastern have offered.

Amilya Taft2025 6-3 C Amilya Taft – Creekview (4-0)
16.5 PPG – 5 RPG – 2.5 SPG
Only having played in two games and the Grizzlies with just one game left on their schedule, the Anderson-signee is unlikely to win MVP, but when she has been on the floor, she has been tough to stop. Amilya’s size allows her to score around the rim with relative ease. Taft plays through contact consistently, getting other teams’ posts in foul trouble. The Grizzlies are undefeated.

MVP Dark Horses

Lauren Hemmer2026 5-6 G Lauren Hemmer – North Hall (2-2)
14 PPG – 13 3PTM – 2.3 RPG
With Athena Vachtsevanos out, Lauren Hemmer has emerged as North Hall’s go-to player on a young team. Hemmer leads the league in three-pointers made and is tied for third in scoring. Lauren has doubled her scoring from last season (6.1 ppg) and surpassed her three-point total (8). Hemmer has a bit of an unorthodox release, but she’s a deadly shooter off the catch and has worked in more pull-ups into her game.

Eliza Oechsle
2027 5-5 PG Eliza Oechsle – Oconee County (3-1)
12 PPG – 5 3PTM – 2.7 RPG – 3 APG – 1 BPG
There has been a major jump in confidence from Year 1 to Year 2. Eliza looks to be playing with more swagger as her hustle has guided Oconee County to a 3-1 start. Oechsle fills up the box score on both ends of the floor. Her outside shooting as improved, already matching last season’s total of five made threes. Eliza has gotten craftier with the ball and is starting to attack both left and right.

Julie Azeltine
2025 5-8 SG Julie Azeltine – Oconee County (3-1)
9 PPG – 3 3PTM – 5 RPG – 1.3 APG – 2.3 SPG
All it will take is one robust stat line to get Julie back into the MVP hunt for good. She is a high-energy 94-foot player. Julie forces turnovers in the full court and has evolved as a playmaker offensively. Azeltine rebounds well from her guard position and is a steady three-level scorer. Piedmont, Greensboro, Central Georgia Tech and Rockford have all offered.

Ayla Heard
2025 5-5 G Ayla Heard – East Forsyth (3-1)
11.8 PPG – 5 3PTM – 1.8 RPG – 2.5 APG – 2.5 SPG
The second head of East Forsyth’s veteran backcourt tandem, Ayla has provided a spark on both ends of the floor. Heard’s quick hands on defense have resulted in transition hoops while her three-point shooting has helped open the floor in the half court. Ayla’s production has elevated from last season when she averaged 4.8 points and made just one three-pointer.

Kylee Herrick2028 5-8 G Kylee Herrick – Creekview (4-0)
10 PPG – 4 3PTM – 3.8 RPG – 1.8 APG – 2.3 SPG
When Creekview’s top dogs have been missing, Kylee has been quick to step up. The freshman does a lot on the floor. She has proven to be a three-level scorer who also focuses on her defense. Herrick makes good decisions with the ball and uses her hustle to make plays. Kylee has the versatility to play 1-3 along the perimeter.

Eva Bishop2025 5-11 PF Eva Bishop – Dawson County (3-1)
11 PPG – 1 3PTM – 6 RPG – 2 SPG – 1 BPG
Eva has appeared in just two games, but has shown a lot of development in her skillset. Known for her brute strength and ability to impose her will inside, Bishop has diversified her attack with polished ball skills. Eva has looked to grab rebounds and push the ball coast-to-coast. She can use eurosteps in traffic and can play on the wing or high post in spurts and use a quick and powerful first step to get downhill. Bishop’s range is expanding as well, knocking down a three. LaGrange, Eastern and Montreat have all offered.

Maddie Siuta2026 5-11 G Maddie Siuta – Dawson County (3-1)
7 PPG – 4 3PTM – 4 RPG – 2.5 APG – 2 SPG – 1.5 BPG
Now in her junior season, Maddie’s importance to the program has become paramount. The Swiss Army Knife has accomplished a lot in her two games this season. At nearly 6-foot tall, Siuta’s versatility offensively and defensively is shown through her stat line. Maddie is an improved playmaker off the dribble, seeing the floor over smaller defenders. Siuta loves to shoot the pull-up three over high ball screens and is getting better at reading the defense out of the pick-and-roll. D-II programs are tracking her progress.

Defensive Player of the Year Favorites

Michelle Ezumah
2027 5-10 C Michelle Ezumah – Lanier (1-3)
6 PPG – 4.7 RPG – 2.3 BPG
Michelle is slowly starting to fill out her frame and get stronger. She is getting better at playing balanced in the paint, not getting knocking around by sturdier opponents. Her length and knack for altering shots has her atop the leaderboard in blocks per game.

Jalyn Robinson
2026 5-7 W Jalyn Robinson – Jackson County (3-2)
3.4 PPG – 3 RPG – 3.6 SPG
When Jalyn plays with energy and purpose, she elevates those around her. The track and field standout is gifted with natural athleticism and quick instincts which allow her to dive into passing lanes for steals. Robinson can be an effective rebounder from the perimeter and is starting to score more consistently. Jalyn leads the league in steals after pilfering 10 against Dawson County in Week 4.

Kendall Lawson
2027 5-7 PG Kendall Lawson – Athens Academy (1-3)
9.7 PPG – 3 3PTM – 1.3 RPG – 1.3 APG – 3.3 SPG
Kendall is third in the league in steals. The playmaking point guard has quick hands as an on-ball defender. Lawson is at her best in transition, but her maturity has really grown in the half court, thriving as a decision maker with floor vision.

Andee Fowler2026 5-10 F Andee Fowler – Dawson County (3-1)
1.3 PPG – 2 RPG – 1.5 BPG
While Dawson County was without their top three players the first two weeks of the season, Andee stepped up as a defensive anchor. The long-armed track athlete has great length. Her wiry reach alters shots especially when walling up as Fowler does a good job letting her length play without fouling.
