2026 6-1 W Isabella Ragone – Mill Creek
Atlanta Falcons fans know the last name, while high school basketball fans are soon to know the game. Isabella, daughter of Falcons Offensive Coordinator Dave Ragone, is a burgeoning star. Originally expected to leave Mill Creek and start her high school career at Marist, Ragone has decided to stay put and begin building her legacy with her hometown Hawks. Isabella doesn’t look like a freshman. She has great size and mobility. She’s a coordinated athlete that pushes the ball in transition and can make plays with her passing. Ragone is capable of playing 1-5 and is a true matchup nightmare. With just 12 combined wins over the past two seasons, don’t be surprised if Mill Creek tops that win total next season with Ragone playing a key role.
2026 5-4 PG Asia Johnson – GAC
Scoop Johnson is the great D-I guard to come out of GAC. She’s a Day 1 gamechanger with her speed and polished skill. She’s a confident ball handler that has a variety of moves to shake loose from defenders. Asia is still waiting on a growth spurt, but that doesn’t make her any less effective getting downhill. She has a pretty floater and is a steady three-point shooter. Her pesky on-ball defense turned over opponents and led to fastbreaks. Johnson was the engine for GAC with 11 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist and 7 steals in a 32-30 win.
2026 5-8 G Makayla Roberson – River Ridge
The next big thing out of Cherokee County is supposed to be Makayla Roberson. She will see major minutes in Year 1 and could be an X-Factor that helps a loaded River Ridge team to their first-ever state title berth. Roberson has good size and great skill. She has a smooth handle to get to the basket and pairs it with a knockdown jumper. Roberson hit three threes en route to finishing with 13 points, 2 assists, 1 steal and 1 block. She will benefit playing alongside D-I guards Mataya Gayle and Sophia Pearl. With so many multi-level scoring weapons, it will be incredibly difficult for opponents to slow down the Knights. If Gayle and Pearl get the lion’s share of attention on the perimeter, Roberson will torch defenses.
2026 5-3 PG Nalani Gainey – Lanier
Gainey brings great speed to the Lanier backcourt. The Longhorns will be able to pickup the tempo this year with an athletic roster that has seen an influx of length and quickness develop. Nalani made an impact with her on-ball defense and converted turnovers into transition points.
