2023 6-1 PG Khirus Doucet – Chapel Hill
A wiry guard with good ball control, Khirus Doucet was among the best guards at The Window with his ability to beat opponents in a variety of ways. The southpaw knocked down multiple threes and was able to slither his way to the basket. Doucet’s length made an impact defensively as he got into passing lanes and turned defense into offense. Doucet could see some quality minutes this year at Chapel Hill and be the future at the point guard position.
2023 6-5 W Micah Norris – Forest Park
Long-term, Micah Norris may have had the most upside at camp. Norris is a big wing that can score inside and out. He’s physically imposing and uses his strength to take bumps when attacking the hoop and when cleaning the glass. Norris can play 2-4 right now and can cause mismatches offensively. He’s able to start his own fast breaks when rebounding and can push the ball all the way to the opposite end. With continued development, Norris could be on D-I radars eventually.
2023 6-4 W Kenric Lanier – Decatur
A tough-nosed slasher, Kenric Lanier did his best work when attacking the cup. He’s got a good-frame on the perimeter and is an above average athlete. Aside from his driving skills, Lanier has a solid jump shot that should continue to improve over time. Defensively is where Lanier provides a lot of value. His length and lateral quickness help him defend multiple positions on the perimeter. He’s got good instincts and picked up a handful of impressive blocks. After winning Region 6-5A Freshman of the Year last season, there’s no reason to think Lanier won’t progress along his upward trajectory.
2022 6-0 G Justin Farley – Druid Hills
Justin Farley of Druid Hills put together a strong camp. His motor helped get him going before his skill started to shine through. He displayed a mature game as a solid finisher, a respectable shooter and a guard that often found himself at the right place at the right time. Farley didn’t force the issue and used a trusty pull-up jumper throughout the day.
