2026 5-10 G Kate Harpring – Marist
Now just five points away from becoming Georgia’s all-time leading scorer, Kate Harpring’s illustrious career will conclude on the perfect stage in the state championship. Harpring demolished Cartersville in a 77-41 romp pouring in 37 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals and 1 block. The best scorer in peach state history, Harpring dazzled with 14 first quarter points to spring the War Eagles to a 23-9 advantage that they would never relinquish. The future pro has accomplished everything possible at the high school level and will try to close her career with a second state title.

2027 5-10 F Katie Elder – Marist
Guarding Kate Harpring is impossible. Beating Marist is even more impossible when everyone around Kate is stepping up. Katie Elder has fully emerged as the War Eagle’s second option. Elder torched Cartersville whenever she was left open racking up 18 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 steals and 2 blocks. Elder netted a pair of threes, scored thrice in transition and had a two other hoops in the paint. Katie is a lethal shooter upon the catch and is growing as a quick one and two-dribble attacker off the bounce. She is a heady defender who finds herself in the right spot on rotations and rarely makes mistakes on either side of the ball.
2028 5-5 G Zoe McCurry – Cartersville
Zoe shot the ball exceptionally well against Marist, burying three threes en route to 11 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal. McCurry has a pure stroke with deep range. She is comfortable playing both on and off the ball. Zoe has been in the weight room, packing on muscle since her freshman year which helps her when defending and on downhill drives. Expect college programs to start tracking her closely over her final two seasons as she will be a four-year contributor.
2028 5-7 G Trinity Montgomery – Cartersville
I liked what I saw out of Trinity, showing off some offensive firepower in one-on-one settings. She looked to attack the basket, trying to put Kate Harpring in difficult guarding scenarios. Trinity opened up the game with an And-1 drive. She mixed in a pair of threes, scored on a putback and had a tough pull-up jumper out of a spin move. Montgomery has good physical size for a guard. She looks ready to take a step up in production next season after averaging 8.9 points and 4.7 rebounds. Against Marist, Trinity produced a team-high 13 points, 3 rebounds and 1 steal.
2027 5-9 G Maliyah Gilbert – Kell
The southpaw piled in 23 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals in a 69-49 win over Jones County. Gilbert was physical on her takes to the basket, dropping in floaters and drawing fouls to shoot 8-10 from the line. Maliyah drilled three three-pointers. D-I schools are getting involved. The Troup County native has a robust game.
2027 5-10 G Asiah Thompson – Kell
Asiah went 9-10 from the free throw line, scored twice in transition and netted a corner three to finish with 16 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 1 block. Another big guard capable of impacting games with her activity level and three level scoring prowess, Thompson kept Jones County defenders on their heels with how she was able to attack from different angles. D-I programs have offered.

2026 5-5 PG Aubrey Norris – Jones County
To no surprise, Aubrey Norris shined on the big stage for Jones County as their brightest star. In the 20-point loss, Norris carried the Greyhounds as far as she could, finishing with 21 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals and 1 block. Aubrey is one of the best unsigned guards left in Georgia. Her shifty playmaking hurt Kell as she was able to use her deft footwork to evade defenders on her way to the hoop. Aubrey dropped in seven floaters and went 3-7 from the foul line. Norris managed to break the Kell press effectively and helped set up her teammates for open looks at the basket. Aubrey is a sharp ballhandler, really good at getting to her spots from 10-15 feet. D-II and D-III schools have been in contact.
