Jahmar Maurice2028 5-11 PG Jahmar Maurice – Woodstock
Although not at full strength, Woodstock still found a way to navigate their way to the Yellow Bracket Championship, a perfect 4-0 on the weekend. To no surprise, Jahmar Maurice was the catalyst. Regarded as one of the top point guards in the state, Maurice set the tone right away with a loud performance in Game 2. Jahmar dumped in 28 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist and 4 steals in a 44-43 win over Jackson County. Maurice was unguardable with his lightning quick first step, the elite downhill attacker converting four And-1s, three coming within the first four minutes of the game. Jahmar explodes to the basket and has terrific body control to finish with both hands against size. His knowledge of how to draw fouls is advanced, living at the line to go 8-8 against Jackson County. Continuing to grow range on his jump shot will be important. He has already taken major strides as a playmaker at point guard. All signs point to Maurice solidifying himself as a D-I prospect.

2028 6-0 PG Donovan DeGourville – Sequoyah
I really liked what I saw out of Donovan DeGourville against Hebron Christian. The sophomore is a high-energy playmaker with a great nose for the ball. His play reminds me a little of 2020 Sequoyah alum Donovan Shipp with his ability to influence games in a variety of ways. DeGourville stuffed the stat sheet on Sunday with 17 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals. He found success as a penetrator, finishing well in traffic while maintaining the spatial awareness to find open teammates. Crafting a three-point shot will help open up his offensive arsenal. Donovan is a competitor.

2028 6-1 G Roman Sullivan – Eastside
The southpaw got my attention in a loss to Johns Creek, coming off the bench to produce 19 points, 3 rebounds and 1 steal. Sullivan has a silky-smooth jump shot which he scores off the catch and off the dribble. He was able to penetrate the defense and finish with floaters and layups with both hands. Roman has nice pace with the ball. He has room to grow as a combo-guard. Only a rising sophomore, Sullivan should see his stock steadily rise throughout his career.

Calvin Goss2028 6-0 G Calvin Goss – Jonesboro
Que got hot against Woodward Academy in a 63-62 win, netting four threes in the first half before settling with 18 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals. The lefty showcased deep range and the confidence to fire quickly upon the catch. Goss is an invaluable floor spacer for the Cardinals, a team that is heavily predicated on scoring within the arc. Calvin’s game is continuing to grow. Expect him to take on more of a lead-guard role his junior season once Cortez Redding graduates. Goss will draw serious college recruitment over his career.

2028 6-2 SG Isaiah Dorsainvil – Dutchtown
Isaiah really impressed me in my first look at him. The wiry guard is a knockdown shooter. He drilled three three-pointers and hit a one-dribble mid-range pull-up against Winder-Barrow on his way to 11 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal. As he adds strength to his frame, Isaiah may become more effective as a downhill slasher that can play through contact. Already with a great jump shot, Dorsainvil has intriguing tools to work with moving forward.
