2028 6-0 F Kamri Sanders – Model
In a crucial Region 6-A D-I matchup, Kamri Sanders showed major promise as a versatile 6-foot freshman. Sanders blends guard skills with a post player’s size and strength. I love Kamri’s upside due to her robust arsenal and overall feel for the game. When Sanders goes into the post she has great footwork, utilizing a quick drop-step baseline which she can finish with both hands. Kamri gets deep post position and will turn over either shoulder when making a move. She got in position for offensive rebounds numerous times, showing an ability to rebound in traffic. Aside from her balance and strong moves inside, what really caught my eye was how comfortable she was playing on the perimeter. Sanders has a pretty, compact jumper with range that expands to the three-point line. She moves extremely well for her size and is a threat to score from the perimeter with her jumper and off the dribble. When Sanders drew fouls against Temple in a 45-39 win, she capitalized. Kamri finished with 8 points and 9 rebounds shooting 4-4 from the foul line. It was a positive first impression for Sanders. I am interested to see more of her and track how she progresses. She has the tools to become a serious prospect.

2026 5-5 G Javia Samples – Model
The third quarter belonged to Javia Samples. Placed in the high post against Temple’s zone, Samples used a quick first step and soft touch to implode the defense. Javia got downhill against the heart of the defense and dropped in three floaters as part of her eight-point frame. Samples totaled a game-high 15 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals and 1 block. Javia has good speed with the ball, looking to get to the hoop when in attack mode. She opened up her night with a three-pointer, a integral piece to her overall growth which will help space out the defense to allow for more driving lanes. Samples’ athleticism and activity on both ends sparked the Blue Devils after heading into the half down 24-19.

2026 5-9 F Eva Poyner – Model
Eva Poyner didn’t need to make a huge dent in the scoring column to have an immense impact on the outcome of the game. The long-armed combo-forward was all over the place, primarily making plays late with her disruptive defense. Eva shot into passing lanes for steals and deflections. She used her length to alter shots and rebound. On offense, Poyner moved the ball well finding open teammates for baskets. Eva filled up the box score with 2 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals and 1 block. Poyner made winning plays when needed most.

2025 5-11 F Mackenna Nix – Temple
The USC Aiken-signee was in and out of the lineup throughout the night due to foul trouble. Nix finished with a flurry in the fourth quarter however, her most productive stanza recording six points. Mackenna posted a team-best 14 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist and 3 steals. Nix loved getting to short turnaround jumpers in the lane, netting a pair to go along with three made jumpers in total. She did well defensively to force turnovers and go coast-to-coast, finishing with her left hand. Nix didn’t have too many brute force overpowering moments like I’m used to seeing, but she was sturdy inside and drew fouls, cashing in on 6-8 free throws. When Mackenna is able to assert herself as the best player on the floor, the Tigers can beat nearly anyone in the classification.

2025 5-9 F Janiyah Walker – Temple
I like what Janiyah Walker brings to Temple. Listed around 5-foot-9, Walker has a stout frame with wide shoulders. She gets into position on the offensive glass and can gobble up rebounds to score on putbacks. She pursues caroms with her body and does a nice job sealing for post position. Janiyah contributed 6 points and 6 rebounds, scoring twice on putbacks and once on a lob.

2028 5-4 PG Jayden Harris – Temple
The spark Jayden Harris gave to Temple in the first quarter was a glimpse of what her future could be. The freshman has great speed and couples it with a high motor. The southpaw can rip away steals and go coast-to-coast in a blink. She scored twice in transition as her defense ignited her offense. When Harris wasn’t scoring in the open floor, she was setting up teammates with her passing. Jayden finished with 4 points, 1 rebound, 3 assists, 2 steals and 1 block off the bench.

2027 5-10 F Hailey Davis – Temple
Just as it did this June at GBCA Live, Hailey’s length and motor impressed me. Davis is a lanky paint protector that rebounds the ball at its highest point and can challenge shots around the hoop. She didn’t score on Tuesday but she came off the bench and provided important minutes as a steadying presence. Hailey pulled in 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 block. The more reps she gets, the better she will be. Davis has double-digit rebounding potential in her future.
