2025 5-8 W Emma Buchanan – Fannin County
Fannin County raced out to a 16-0 lead against Christian Heritage before finding themselves in a dog fight after three quarters leading 45-39. In the fourth quarter, Emma Buchanan made her mark, stamping the game with her two-way hustle which helped wilt the Lions, the Rebels racing away 68-53. Buchanan scored seven points in the fourth quarter, finishing with a robust stat line of 13 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals and 4 blocks. Emma was all over the floor defensively, defending on-ball to force turnovers and making plays inside as a shot blocker. She did a nice job defending Carly Bramlett and showcased some positional versatility, able to defend on the perimeter and in the paint. Emma kicked off her night with a three from the top of the key. She shot 4-5 from the foul line and added in an And-1 putback, a layup off a steal and a one-dribble pull-up.
2026 5-5 CG Maggie Ledford – Fannin County
Maggie killed Christian Heritage in transition, leaking out for easy layups as she scored seven times in transition. Ledford tallied 21 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal. She scored with both hands and did well against pressure, splitting traps to see the floor. Ledford has shot extremely well from beyond the arc, over 36% percent on the season. She hit a corner three in the fourth quarter to help extend the lead. Maggie’s hustle and ability to play both on and off the ball is key to Fannin’s success.

2027 5-6 PG Izzie Jabaley – Fannin County
I am a huge fan of Small Town Izzie, not just for her broadcasting chops but her pass-first point guard skills. Jabaley is one of North Georgia’s best playmakers. She is a true lead guard whose primary focus is setting up her teammates before hunting her own shot. Izzie makes those around her better. She is a terrific pitch ahead passer in transition, hitting long touchdown passes to streaking teammates. In the halfcourt, Jabaley has a tight handle and strong frame which can neutralize aggressive defense. Izzie keeps her head up and her dribble alive, distributing to shooters and posting bigs. Izzie didn’t take many shots against Christian Heritage but she did sink a three in the decisive fourth quarter, finishing with 4 points, 2 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 block. Jabaley is as reliable as they come at the point guard position in the 2027 class.
2026 6-0 C Reese Lewis – Fannin County
Reese was a big reason why the Rebels jumped out to such a big lead, up 20-8 after the first quarter. Lewis poured in 10 points over the opening eight minutes before getting into some foul trouble. Reese finished with 12 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 1 block. The standout soccer striker scored with deep post position and earned second chance opportunities on the glass. The southpaw is one of the best back-to-the-basket scorers in Georgia’s 2026 class. Only playing basketball since the sixth grade, Lewis is still scratching the surface of her potential. D-II schools will want to evaluate.
2028 5-7 PG Annaka Hembree – Christian Heritage
In the running for Freshman of the Year in Class 3A-1A Private, Annaka has enjoyed a huge rookie season, helping pace the Lions as they are now 15-3 after the loss after posting an 18-12 mark a season ago. Coach Josh Hembree’s daughter has all the traits of a future college guard. Aside from her production this season, it is how she has been able to do it. Hembree is swift with the ball and active in the full court press. As she ages she will add on some muscle, but even though she is svelte, she is tough enough to get downhill and play through contact. She understands how to brace herself when going up for layups and can score through defenders with either hand. Annaka’s first two hoops came on left-handed drives, scoring thrice with her off-hand on the night. Hembree hit two threes off of offensive rebounds and shot 3-6 from the foul line. Annaka totaled a team-high 19 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Hembree is well on her way to putting up historical numbers at Christian Heritage. I really like her upside.
2028 6-1 C Olivia Perry – Christian Heritage
The biggest surprise of the night was Olivia Perry. I was wowed by the young post who also got some burn in the JV game. Perry checks a lot of boxes. She has great size, a strong frame and quality mobility. Aside from the measurables, what stuck out most was her skill. Perry coolly sank a pair of three-pointers to pair with a putback bucket and a transition finish. Olivia anchored the paint on defense, rebounding and swatting away shots. Perry recorded 11 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals and 5 blocks off the bench. If Olivia can produce like she did on Wednesday on a nightly basis, Christian Heritage is going to be a sneaky good team in the state playoffs. I need to see more, but I loved the first impression Olivia made. She is on my radar as someone who could blossom into a D-II/D-I prospect.
2026 5-9 W Carly Bramlett – Christian Heritage
Carly is a tweener that can play either forward position. If she has a mismatch with a larger player guarding her, she can step outside to take her man off the dribble or shoot the three. If a smaller player is defending her, Bramlett has the ability to post up and score with her back to the basket. Against Fannin County, Carly showed off her perimeter skills. She scored on a floater off a cut, went coast-to-coast with a spin move and sank a three-pointer. Bramlett does a nice job playing physical in the paint, good at blocking out. She posted 7 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals and 1 block. Carly has had a strong year contributing across the board as a jack of all trades.
