Amelia Basit2025 6-2 PF Amelia Basit – St. Francis
D-I programs need to take a long look at Amelia Basit. Back after missing her sophomore season, Basit is a legitimate prospect that checks a lot of boxes. First off, she has great size. She’s physical and has a strong build but isn’t plodding, blessed with nimble feet for her frame. Amelia seals hard and is a good finisher that is also quick enough off the ground to clean up any misses. I really like her shooting touch. Basit has a smooth jumper from the mid-range, able to score from the baseline and high post. Amelia is a good passer out of the post, adept at finding cutters. All the tools are there for Basit. She is more than just a block-to-block rebounder and big body. Amelia finished with 16 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 1 block in a 57-27 win over Paideia. Low Major to Mid-Major schools should do their due diligence.

Sa'Mya Wyatt2024 6-2 PF Sa’Mya Wyatt – St. Francis
Austin Peay has stolen another future All-Conference player out of Georgia. Last year it was La’Nya Foster from Lovejoy, this year it’s reigning Class A D-I Player of the Year Sa’Mya Wyatt. The star senior is a load to deal with. She has a rock-solid frame with a strong lower body which allows her to clear out space when getting in position to explode up for rebounds. Wyatt scores through contact easily, but she isn’t just a power post. What separates her from most is her feathery touch from 15-feet. She peppers defenses when they try to go zone. Wyatt didn’t see a ton of time against Paideia, a game which was over after the first quarter up 22-2, but Sa’Mya still finished with 8 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists. When you think about complete post players in Georgia, it start’s with Wyatt.

2026 5-4 G Camryn Golston – St. Francis
The speedy guard earned an offer from Georgia Southern last March and has played a key role in St. Francis’ quest to return to another state title. Often the smallest player on the floor, Golston’s energy sets her apart from other undersized guards. She can be a ferocious defender, both on-ball and away, forcing turnovers in St. Francis’ half court trap. Camryn is a good three-point shooter that can sink defenses when running corner to corner against the zone. Her shiftiness is apparent when breaking down defenders and finding her bigs inside. Golston recorded 8 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 steals and 2 blocks against Paideia.

Giaunni Rogers2027 5-8 G Giaunni Rogers – St. Francis
Highlighted as an impact freshman back when I first saw her in June, Rogers hasn’t disappointed, second on the team in scoring. She projects to be one of the very best shooters in Georgia’s 2027 class but is more than just a three-point specialist as she has the size and ball skills to create off the bounce and make a difference defensively. She tallied 7 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 steals in a 30-point win over Paideia. High Major programs have wisely already offered.

Tianna Thompson2024 5-10 G Tianna Thompson – Galloway
With the game on the line in the fourth quarter, Georgia Tech-signee Tianna Thompson was the closer, scoring eight of the Scots’ 16 points in the final frame to pull away from Mt. Pisgah 71-57 after holding just a three-point lead after three periods. Thompson is a foul magnet when attacking the rim. She’s a crafty finisher who will use both hands and implement eurosteps in traffic. Tianna went 9-12 from the line including 4-4 in the fourth. Thompson has a quick trigger from beyond the arc and is willing to pull both off the catch and off the dribble. She did a great job securing rebounds and igniting fastbreaks as a coast-to-coast threat. Tianna finished with 22 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks.

Taryn Thompson2026 5-9 G Taryn Thompson – Galloway
Taryn’s growth as a primary ball handler has been impressive. As a freshman, she was relied upon more as a catch-and-shoot sniper but in Year 2, has thrived as a decision maker. While she is still deadly from distance, Thompson has added to her off the dribble game, slicing to the rim to finish with both hands. On Thursday, Taryn aggressively attacked the glass, scoring on a pair of putbacks.  In the open floor, she had a synergy with her older sister Tianna, finding her on multiple occasions for hoops. Thompson tallied 15 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals. Expect her game to improve each and every season.

2024 5-9 W Morgan Blake – Mt. Pisgah
UWash got a steal in Morgan Blake. The star senior was on fire over the first three quarters, netting five threes showcasing deep range. Morgan didn’t just rely on her outside shot however, going into the post utilizing nice footwork with her back to the basket and attacking the rim off the dribble scoring with spin moves and finishing with her off-hand. Blake’s versatile offense and overall physical strength on the wing project well to the next level. Morgan finished with 22 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 steal in a loss to Galloway. D-II schools should be kicking themselves for letting her slip through the cracks. UWash has a future D-III standout coming to St. Louis.

2026 5-11 PF Evia Spencer – Mt. Pisgah
I love Evia Spencer’s mean streak inside. She is a true banger that will get rough underneath the basket. Spencer doesn’t back down an inch. She aggressively fights for position both offensively and defensively. Evia seals extremely hard and doesn’t die on defense, battling to deny post entries and push bigger forwards out of the paint. Evia is extremely vocal on the floor and isn’t shy about communicating with her teammates. Offensively, Spencer has a soft touch in the paint. She loves getting to her post turnaround jumper. Spencer provided the Patriots with 8 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 1 block. I like her future.
