Kolby Watson2025 6-3 W Kolby Watson – Banks County
It was another day at the office for Kolby Watson, the 1,000-point scorer dropping in 17 points, 8 rebounds and 2 blocks in a 59-57 win over Athens Academy, seven points coming in the decisive fourth quarter. Watson scored in a variety of ways. He netted a pair of threes, used a step-through move in the post to finish with his left hand, scored on a drive and sank a fadeaway jumper in the lane. Kolby has a savvy feel for scoring the ball, beating defenders inside and out. D-III and NAIA programs should be in the mix.

2025 6-1 G Antonio Gonzalez – Banks County
The elusiveness of Antonio Gonzalez gave Athens Academy fits as he routinely snaked his way into the paint. Antonio has wiggle, able to slither his way for penetration. His floater was on point on Monday, hitting three including two via And-1 takes. Gonzalez was also able to sneak onto the offensive glass for a pair of putbacks as he finished with 16 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals, shooting 6-8 from the foul line.

2026 6-4 F Charlie Walton – Athens Academy
Charlie put together a robust stat line in Athens Academy’s 59-57 loss to Banks County. The combo-forward gathered 11 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 steals and 1 block while providing production inside and out. Walton has sneaky versatility. His activity level is high, often allowing him to be in the right place at the right time. He’s a good outlet passer, able to spark fastbreaks upon grabbing rebounds. Charlie is a willing jump shooter who can also score off the dribble and post up. Walton scored on two floaters and converted a baseline drive to mix with a mid-range jumper and a putback. Walton’s decision making as a passer led to open looks for shooters. I liked what I saw on Monday.

2028 5-10 G Lex Garretson – Athens Academy
Athens Academy couldn’t buy a bucket in the first half, especially from distance. The Spartans turned to secret weapon Lex Garretson to get back in the game after falling behind 43-30 heading into the fourth quarter. Lex drained his first three in the third quarter and buried three more in the fourth as he finished with 12 points and 1 steal, leading a furious comeback that fell just short against Banks County 59-57. Lex looks like a freshman and has a funky shot, but understood his role and was fearless letting it fly as he lifted the Spartans. As the specialist gets bigger, stronger and diversifies his game, expect him to be a major contributor moving forward.

2025 6-1 G Jaylon Seymour – Providence Christian
In a 54-48 win over Elbert County, Jaylon Seymour had some silky-smooth moments. Jaylon glides to the rim on his drives, making it look effortless. Sometimes he almost looks nonchalant as he elevates for pretty scoop layups. Jaylon attacked from all levels. He sank four mid-range jumpers and buried a three as he finished with a game-high 20 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 steals. Seymour could be a sneak good late add for a college program.

2026 5-11 G Jordan Morrison – Elbert County
With Grady Jones suspended, Jordan Morrison stepped up nicely with 18 points and 4 rebounds. He used a quick first step to attack the paint, utilizing a sharp spin move to free himself for layups. Morrison also implemented eurosteps to slide by defenders. What really made Jordan effective was his outside shot, drilling three three-pointers to loosen up the defense. In a 54-48 loss to Providence Christian, Morrison played a key role in leading a comeback after trailing by 12 points heading into the fourth quarter, scoring seven in the final stanza.
