2027 5-6 PG Avynn Kniceley – Redline – South Forsyth
Avynn is a bundle of energetic production. I liked her as a freshman last season and think she’s ready to take a big step forward in one of Forsyth County’s quickest, most exciting young backcourts joining rising freshman Calleigh Salvador. Both guards are major hustlers. In a 48-28 win over Q4 at War Games, Avynn posted 14 points, 1 rebound, 5 assists and 7 steals. Kniceley scored three left-handed layups in transition, getting a bulk of her points in the full court. She knocked down a short jumper and added a three-ball to round out her scoring. Kniceley’s defense often sparks her offense. Avynn is an annoying on-ball defender that always hovers around opposing guards and is quick to dive on the floor to dig out loose balls and force turnovers.

2027 5-10 F Ella Cowan – Redline – West Forsyth
The natural tools are there for Ella Cowan to become a key piece at the varsity level. Cowan is a left-handed high jumper with impressive length and mobility. She gracefully runs the floor in transition and is springy to rebound and block shots. Ella’s jump shot is steady enough to be considered a weapon. Against Q4 she hit a post turnaround and later a mid-range jumper. Cowan collected 8 points, 5 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 blocks. Ella should see major minutes this upcoming season.
2027 6-1 C Reagan Richardson – Redline – Lumpkin County
Richardson has a nice skill level on the low block. She has the size and frame to be able to hold her own and physically impose her will on smaller players. Reagan finishes with both hands. She has a variety of back-to-the-basket moves she can turn to. Richardson has quick enough feet to take her man baseline and finish in traffic. Reagan posted 7 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals and 2 blocks off the bench in a 48-28 victory.
2027 5-7 G Deyva Davis – AEBL Gold – Milton
I liked what I saw from the quick, wiry guard. The game is starting to slow down for her. Davis can play both on and off the ball. Against Porter Sports, her improved catch-and-shoot game was on display, knocking down a pair of threes. Deyva tallied 8 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals. With her speed, activity on defense and growing range, Davis is on track to improve steadily over her next three seasons.
2026 5-8 W Lyla Griffith – Redline – Cherokee
Lyla’s versatility is her calling card. Listed at 5-foot-8, Griffith plays bigger than her size and can play multiple spots on the floor. Lyla can serve anywhere from 2-4, but is most suited for the three. Griffith can play a small-ball four and take advantage of her quickness. Redline likes to use her in the high post and have guards scissor cut off her before she makes a quick drive to the hoop after faking hand offs. You can always count on Lyla to play hard and compete on the backboards. Against FBC NextUp Red, she sank a corner three and finished with both hands inside on her way to 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists.

2026 5-6 G Justyce McCoy – FBC NextUp Black – Brookwood
Justyce McCoy might not get the headlines yet, but she is a rapidly improving junior that could have a breakout season. What sticks out to me whenever I watch McCoy is her energy level on both ends of the floor. She is far from a one-dimensional player; she impacts games in a variety of ways. Justyce is good at scooping up steals and crashing in to rebound. On offense, she displays the ability to score from all levels. Against 1Nation, Justyce hit a corner three, sank two floaters, nailed a one-dribble pull-up and scored on a drive where she jump-stopped and spun back for a short jumper. McCoy finished with 11 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals.
