Class AAAAAA

No. 5 Cherokee 69, Walton 38: South Florida lacrosse-signee Alex Whitecliffe had 16 points followed by Madison Moody’s 14. Lyla Griffith and freshmen Tracy Wakefield and Ansley Dunn all scored 8 points. Mississippi State soccer-signee Graycen Ehlen posted 11 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists in the loss. Lauren Kent and Chloe Nicholson scored 7 apiece.

No. 8 Buford 54, Mountain View 25: In the loss, Jenysis Criss scored 9 points. Iyioluwa Ekundayo had 6 points and Calleigh Massey netted 5.

Lowndes 72, Thomasville 16: Aryana Thomas scored 23 points. Kaci Demps had 9 points and 7 steals while Shamiaha Webb finished with 9 points and 10 rebounds. Laila Foster recorded 7 points and 9 rebounds.

Mill Creek 46, Central Gwinnett 44: Bella Ragone netted 23 points, 10 rebounds and 2 blocks. Danica Taylor added 10 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. Freshman Ayla Summers pitched in 9 points and 5 rebounds while Luckiey Williams grabbed 7 rebounds.

North Gwinnett 65, Meadowcreek 21: Georgia College-signee Caroline Beavin dumped in 21 points. Abigail Daly scored 8 while Faith Badmus and Maia Brock added 7 apiece.

Marietta 56, Wheeler 53: Freshman Leah DeWitt netted 25 points, 7 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocks. Kyann Senior collected 18 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist and 4 steals. Freshman Mackenzie Everett chipped in 10 points.

Denmark 62, Alpharetta 32: Avery Huffman netted six threes en route to 22 points. Hannah Lopez piled in 18 points to reach 1,000 on her career. Freshman Jadyn Shepard scored 16 points.

Newton 60, South Gwinnett 39: London Smith (15), Mya Perry (13) and Tania Bailey (11) balanced the attack.
