Calvary Day
2023 5-7 G Hannah Cail
Hannah Cail entered camp as one of the highest touted prospects in attendance and the All-State guard lived up to the billing. Cail poured in 28 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 steal on 10-18 shooting, going 5-11 from deep with no turnovers against Dacula. The sign of a good prospect is that every time you watch them, you can see their game improving. Hannah has done just that. She has gotten more aggressive on offense, picking up her tempo while playing more decisive. Whether by choice or necessity, Cail was always looking for her offense, but did so in an efficient manner. She’s always been known for her three-point shooting, but it’s her creativity with the ball and improved playmaking that is really pushing her onto D-I radars. Cail is shifty with the ball, changing speeds with in-and-out dribbles to side step defenders and using quick crossovers to plant her foot and get downhill, something I wanted to see more of when she came to my showcase event last December at Grayson. Hannah’s smooth offensive game comes with court vision too. With her added consistency getting into the paint, not only does it open more scoring opportunities downhill, but chances for her to shine as a drive-and-kick/dump facilitator. While her offense will always get the headlines, I did come away impressed with her quickness on defense, moving laterally as an on-ball defender and being vocal as a floor general. Cail will be asked a lot of her senior season not only as a scorer but as the lone senior leader on the roster. Schools of all levels have shown interest such as D-I’s Penn and Columbia, D-II Georgia College and D-III’s Oglethorpe and Berry. Cail has a D-I skill set. I would find it hard to believe that she won’t have at least a few D-I options in her back pocket come decision time.
Really like the growth 2023 5-7 G @hannahcail5 (@GoCavsWBB) has shown as a playmaker this offseason. High-octane scorer is getting others involved. Has looked good getting downhill. #GCTeamCamp @gcbobcatswbb pic.twitter.com/4EsyULwqLQ

Lumpkin County
2023 5-11 PF Kate Jackson
There’s not much more needed to be said about the big four of Lumpkin County, but I will try to anyway. The Lady Indians bludgeoned the competition, destroying Dodge County 70-30 and overpowering East Jackson 64-19. If you know anything about the Lumpkin County offense, it’s that Coach David Dowse isn’t afraid to exploit what works offensively. With a major size advantage against East Jackson, Kate Jackson dominated inside, scoring at will with 22 easy points to go along with 12 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal. Earlier in the day against formidable post presence Lyric Green who had the size advantage, Jackson still managed to post 13 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal. Jackson’s diverse offensive game makes her a nightmare to defend. She’s a physical low block scorer with great footwork and supreme touch, scoring with left and right-handed hooks. Jackson has a soft touch from the mid-range and is a threat as a stretch forward with three-point accuracy. Jackson is drawing serious D-III interest, recently picking up her first offer from Oglethorpe, followed by Berry. Kate’s polished skill set and rugged interior play will make an immediate impact Day 1 in college.

2024 5-7 G Averie Jones
On track to shatter the school record for points, Averie Jones is Lumpkin County’s ace in the hole. When the Indians need a bucket, Jones has proven time and time again she can deliver, especially when the game is on the line. Jones is a three-level scorer. She’s a great three-point shooter that will wreck defenses once they step out to guard her as she will blow by with a quick first step. Jones has a powerful upper body that absorbs contact when getting to the rim. An underrated part about Jones’ game is her willingness to defend other team’s best players. She’s got quick hands and will knock away loose balls. Jones opened up her day with 12 points, 1 rebound, 2 assists and 5 steals vs. Dodge County and then added 10 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals and 1 block against East Jackson. Jones is on track to become a D-I level guard thanks to her shot making. Continuing to do more than just score will help elevate her up recruiting boards. Her competitiveness defensively and her improving playmaking as a passer are positive signs long-term.
2023 5-6 PG Lexi Pierce
North Georgia nabbed a plug-and-play piece that should quickly integrate herself into the Nighthawk system sooner rather than later and expertly replace exactly what Abbie Franklin leaves behind once she gets accustomed to the speed of the college game. Lexi Pierce is another Indian that has gotten better and better throughout the course of her career. Her ability to handle tough coaching while under the point guard microscope of Coach Dowse will accelerate her timeline to find minutes in college. Pierce has established herself as one of Georgia’s elite shooters, both off the catch and off the dribble. She consistently makes the right play and is textbook with her unselfish distributing. Lexi might not look it at first glance, but she’s a pit bull of a defender that will harass weaker guards and turn them over with her active hands. She did just that against Dodge County, collecting 14 points, 4 assists, 5 steals and 1 block. Against East Jackson, she tallied 7 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists. When it comes resume, skill and intangibles, Pierce quietly is one of the most accomplished true point guards in Georgia.

2023 5-10 W Mary Mullinax
The Class 3A Player of the Year is the perfect glue guy on a winning team. She does a little bit of everything at a high level and does so with her sheer effort and desire to win. Mullinax led Lumpkin County in scoring for a majority of the season but her scoring might be the last thing I think of when it comes to Mary. Her motor is what makes her special. Mullinax is the first to get on the floor for loose balls. She has cat-like instincts when defending on the perimeter, jumping into passing lanes anytime opponents get careless with the ball. Mullinax’s length gives her value as a multi-positional defender. When switched onto physical post players that have a size and weight advantage, Mary doesn’t back down and will throw her full body weight into the opposition to keep them from achieving post position while denying entries and pushing them away from the basket. Mary’s three-point shot, ball handling and rebounding ability have grown each season. She opened camp with 16 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals before adding 11 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist, 1 steal and 2 blocks in Game 2. Oglethorpe has offered. Mary will make a big impact on the floor wherever she lands, but maybe even more so in the locker room.
Murray County
2023 6-0 W Mattie Nuckolls
I’ve patiently waited to see Mattie Nuckolls play more often over the past two seasons. In my first viewing with Murray County, she showed flashes of her upside and All-State skills. Nuckolls is a versatile piece that can play inside and out. More of a wing, Nuckolls does have some point-forward capabilities in her game. She’s a quality ball handler that can put it on the floor and make things happen as a drive-and-kick playmaker. The inside-out scoring threat didn’t take as many shots as I would have liked to see, but when she did, she was good, netting a pair of threes and finishing with a flurry in the second half, scoring on a reverse seal on an inbound and later finishing a slip action. Mattie finished with 10 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks in a 44-38 loss to Pope. Carson-Newman and Lee have both offered the talented swingman tucked away in Northwest Georgia.

2023 5-7 CG Ella Dotson
It was Ella Dotson that led the comeback in the second half after trailing by 12 points at the break. Dotson caught fire with three consecutive threes, finishing with four for the game en route to 14 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 1 block. Dotson is a sturdy guard that helps come down to rebound. She played a lot of point guard on Thursday, but is probably more of a combo, better suited when she can play off the ball and catch-and-shoot, although she did show the ability to hit the three off the dribble. The two-man tandem of Dotson and Nuckolls is one of the most productive in all of North Georgia.
Pope
2023 5-11 F Emily Ryan
Energy and effort are the calling cards of Emily Ryan’s game. She’s incredibly active in the paint, using her length and athleticism to always find herself in the mix. Emily has a nose for the ball as a rebounder and will track down any loose balls. Ryan liked to push the ball in transition. Emily’s mostly a threat on dump offs and putbacks, but she did score on a driving hook. She corralled 8 rebounds apiece in the two games I saw while adding 6 points and 4 points, respectively.

2026 5-8 G Abbey Bensman
The rising freshman has some excitement around her game. Abbey Bensman is a shooter. She scored 38 points in a middle school game and flashed that same scoring prowess against Murray County, netting 8 points, hitting a pair of threes and a pull-up jumper. Bensman doesn’t quite have the strength or multisport athletic frame as her older teammates quite yet, but her perimeter jump shot and steady play will put her in a position to earn minutes early in her career.
Lake Oconee Academy
2023 5-4 G Jada Williams
PRO Summer Madness wasn’t a fluke. Jada Williams picked up right where she left off on Saturday, the human jumping jack overwhelming Cairo with her elite athleticism. The tiny size will hurt Williams’ recruitment but she more than makes up for it with her tenacity. Jada is all gas, no breaks, the only way she could be in order to record 17 points, 12 rebounds, 2 assists, 8 steals and 3 blocks against Cairo. Williams pounced on passes and skyed for rebounds and blocks. It is rare to find a guard in the state of Georgia that can catch Williams in a foot race in transition. Williams banked in a three, hit a baseline mid-range and netted a floater as her most impressive buckets. She will have to hit perimeter shots to play in college, something that she did quite well during the high school season. Williams is one of the most fun players to watch in Georgia and one that hardly anyone knows about yet.
2024 5-7 PG Georgia Bosart
While golf is her forte, Georgia Bosart is a serious force on the hardwood as well. Her Class A-Public State Championship performance of 17 points, 20 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals and 1 block got her on my radar and Thursday’s showing was equally productive and possibly even more impressive considering she’s hardly picked up a ball since starring in Macon. Bosart poured in 15 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists, 4 steals and 1 block in a 54-31 win over Cairo. Bosart is solid all-around. The stat sheet stuffer averaged 11 points, 6.9 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 2.3 steals as a sophomore, good enough to earn First Team All-State honors alongside Jada Williams. Bosart didn’t have to show it off much in Milledgeville, but she’s a dangerous three-point shooter that connected on 53-142 (37%) of her shots from beyond the arc. Georgia is steady and reliable in every facet of the game.
Dawson County
2023 5-9 SG Kirklyn Porter
A late start of 10 PM concluded Day 1 of Georgia College Team Camp, Dawson County the “lucky” group to draw the primetime tip. With a long day nearly in the books and bed time quickly approaching, the Tigers managed to stay focused and finish strong, obtaining a 43-21 win over Calvary Day to end the night. Kirklyn Porter finished with 8 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal. She hit a pair of threes and dropped in a baseline floater. Porter has a good build for a two-guard, equipped with size and strength. Kirklyn has deep range on her three-point shot which will draw the attention of D-III and D-II programs. Continuing to add layers to her game both offensively and defensively will help with her development. Porter averaged 11.5 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists per game as a junior and could see a nice uptick her final year.

2024 5-11 F Morgan Chester
Coming off a season in which she averaged 7.5 points, 8 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game, I think Chester could be on the verge of taking the next step as a legitimate double-double threat. Morgan has good size and quality athleticism. She can attack off the dribble and is smooth finisher in the paint. Morgan mixes it up inside on the glass and is a solid rim protector. I feel like Chester has upside to improve even more on the perimeter and could eventually add a consistent stretch-forward element to her game. She was strong against Calvary Day, contributing 8 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 blocks.
2024 5-2 PG Kindra Coker
The smallest player on the floor but possibly the biggest heart, it’s hard not to fall in love with the defensive effort of Kindra Coker. She applies pressure as an on-ball defender and will step in and sacrifice her body to draw charges. The little lefty also can knock down a handful of threes when left open.
East Jackson
2023 5-4 PG Antonia Pittman
Not much went right against Lumpkin County, but Pittman’s blazing speed and ability to get to the rim were apparent. Against most teams, Pittman can get two feet in the paint whenever she wants. Her quickness helps her pick up steals and play at a high tempo. She covers plenty of ground in the press.
Creekview
2025 6-1 W Ashlynn Bleisath
It shouldn’t take much longer before D-I offers start to come in for Ashlynn Bleisath. You won’t find many players at her age and size that can shoot like she does. It’s difficult to challenge her three-point shot as she can shoot overtop defenders. Bleisath is getting better at putting the ball on the floor and she stepped up as a rebounder with Amilya Taft absent. I would like to see her add a back to the basket game to take advantage of her size more often and get easier hoops. She took 113 threes and just 39 two-point field goals and 32 free throws as a freshman and will need to be cognizant of not pigeonholing herself as just a three-point specialist. Either way, Bleisath is well ahead of the curve with her size, strength and skill. I still view her as Creekview’s best long-term college prospect currently.
2023 5-9 W Reese Brauer
I liked the energy and toughness Reese brought to the floor on Thursday. She hustled for rebounds and had some success as a slasher. Her jump shot and free throw need retooling, but she makes positive impacts aside from scoring the ball and holds value defensively.
Dodge County
2025 6-1 C Lyric Green
I got my first look at the Class 2A Freshman of the Year who averaged 16.5 points and 9.3 rebounds on Thursday. Green has great size, both height and build. She’s got a strong thick lower base, but moves exceptionally well. Green is a physical banger that does a good job of sealing. Her guards struggled to get her the ball against Lumpkin County but when she did get it, she was effective finishing with 12 points and 5 rebounds. She followed up with 13 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals and 1 block against Dacula. It’s easy to see how Green could be unstoppable in spurts at the 2A level. If her teammates can accurately lob her the ball over top, there’s not much opponents can do to stop her. Green gets off her feet well to nab offensive rebounds and showed flashes of having some good footwork. She’s a post presence that D-I and D-II schools will want to check back in on periodically.
2023 5-9 W Altierra Gooch
The flag football star is a strongly built athlete. She brings toughness inside when battling for rebounds and has proven to be a consistent foul magnet and double-double threat, averaging 14.6 points and 9.3 rebounds as a junior, snatching 4.5 offensive boards a night. Gooch cashed in on a pair of mid-range jumpers in a 34-32 loss to Dacula, finishing with 8 points and 4 rebounds.
Pickens
2026 5-8 G Ellison Steinhauer
In a 36-26 win over Pope, it was the freshman who shined brightest, carrying the load with 15 points. Steinhauer came off the bench and immediately provided the scoring punch needed to lift Pickens in a low scoring game. Ellison drained three threes and hit all three of her free throw attempts. She’s a high IQ player with a pretty jump shot and confident slashing skills. Steinhauer will be a dynamic multidimensional scorer alongside Caroline Mullins.
2024 5-9 PG Caroline Mullins
How do you impact games when you’re not scoring? That’s what all great players have to figure out. Caroline Mullins has a good answer. While she netted just 4 points against Pope, it was her well-rounded skill set that carried her through a low output game. Mullins thrives as a decision maker. She excelled at getting into the lane, jump stopping and kicking to open shooters in the corner. Very rarely will you ever see Mullins get in the air and not know what to do with the ball. She plays off two feet and always identifies where her teammates are. Caroline also made her presence felt on the glass as Pickens’ tallest most versatile player. The jack-of-all-trades is tough on the boards and defends both on the perimeter and in the post. She tallied 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 1 block in the win.
2025 5-5 G Emmie Moore
Emmie Moore made a positive first impression. I felt like she was always in the right place at the right time. She snuck in for rebounds and provided quality defense. Moore cashed in on a pair of threes and scored in traffic on a eurostep floater. She tacked on 8 points, 7 rebounds and 1 block.
Banks County
2023 6-0 C Kamryn Grier
The Emmanuel-commit got off to a slow start but knocked off the cobwebs and got to work following a slow first few minutes. Grier dominated against GISA’s Trinity Christian, posting 22 points, 8 rebounds, 5 steals and 1 block. Grier scored on a handful of putbacks, went coast-to-coast and finished with hook shots with both hands. Grier can be as good as any center in Georgia when she wants to be. Playing up to her size and strength are key for her. When she is engaged and finishing strong around the rim, there aren’t many posts that can slow down her great footwork with her back to the basket.
2025 5-8 G Ryleigh Murphy
Ryleigh Murphy caught my eye. She’s got nice length on the perimeter and a slender athletic frame. She shoots the ball with confidence from deep and has some upside as a wiry defender. She sank a pair of threes and finished with 12 points, 3 steals and 1 block. Murphy is getting valuable reps as Addison Hoard heals from ankle surgery. I expect Ryleigh to play an important role in the Leopard backcourt this season.
Vidalia
2025 5-10 PF Kaliya Walker
Kaliya made a good first impression at the Sandy’s Spiel Spring Showcase and had a positive showing in viewing number two in Milledgeville. She’s a strong post presence with a powerful lower half. She does a good job of throwing her weight around, sealing and showing a target for entry passes. Walker carves out space on the glass and snatches rebounds with two hands in traffic. She finishes with either around the rim. Walker was showcased in the high post a lot vs. Brentwood. She’s capable of taking a dribble and shooting from the mid-range. Walker will be a productive post presence over the course of her career.
Dacula
2024 5-4 PG Mekera Standridge
Mekera is a veteran presence in the backcourt, logging major minutes since Day 1 as a freshman. Standridge is quick with the ball and has a tight handle. She’s tough when she can squeeze through the defense and get to the rim. Her outside shot is solid enough to warrant attention. She had 11 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal vs. Calvary Day after posting 5 points, 4 rebounds and 3 steals against Dodge County.
2024 6-1 C Tianna Rabsatt
The size and length of Tianna Rabsatt are interesting. The rising junior has wide shoulders and great reach defensively. She’s a legitimate rim protector that swatted away 7 shots in the two games I watched. The lefty knocked down a mid-range jumper and converted an And-1 against Dodge County, en route to 7 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist and 4 blocks. Non-D-I programs may want to keep her name in mind moving forward.
2025 5-8 SG Jaliyah Benefield
I think Jaliyah Benefield will pop up on opponent scouting reports often her sophomore season. She’s an athletic off guard that can slash to the rim and force turnovers with her quick twitch reaction time. She averaged 7.5 points per game on Thursday and is one of the Falcons’ top scoring options on the perimeter.
