Rolling into Week 11, three teams across all classifications are ranked for the first time while a total of eight teams have fallen out of their respective classes.

Class 6A No. 1 Grayson suffered a 60-46 loss to Sierra Canyon, CA at the HoopHall Classic. No. 2 Wheeler slipped past No. 5 Etowah 81-77 before beating No. 6 Newton 77-64 at Playing For A Change, maintaining a double-digit lead throughout as Colben Landrew posted 22 points and 6 rebounds while Ole Miss-signee Tylis Jordan scored 10 of his 15 points in the final frame to ice the game. Marcus Smith II was excellent for the Rams, leading Newton with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. No. 3 McEachern won at Class 4A No. 1 Pace Academy at Playing For A Change 64-59 as Chase Lumpkin drained five threes en route to finishing with a game-high 27 points. The Indians beat Pebblebrook earlier in the week 63-52. No. 8 Buford polished off a 4-0 week with a 48-45 win at Class 4A No. 4 Southwest DeKalb. No. 10 Hillgrove clings onto their spot after a 72-54 loss at Pebblebrook. Meadowcreek (14-5) slips out of the poll after a narrow 49-46 win at North Gwinnett and a 71-64 loss to returnee No. 9 Norcross who also won at Peachtree Ridge 72-60.

The bottom of Class 5A sees two debut teams but at the top, No. 1 Milton went 1-2 at the Bass Pro Tournament of Champions, losing to Christ The King, NY 66-64 and Millennium, AZ 76-70 in overtime with a 48-46 win over Parkview, MO sandwiched in between. No. 2 Woodward Academy won at Decatur 67-56 then defeated Class 4A No. 3 Kell at Playing For A Change 77-66 as Jarvis Hayes Jr. went for 27 points and 13 rebounds followed by Deke Cooper’s 16 points and 11 rebounds and Clemson-signee Zac Foster’s 15 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals and 1 block. It took No. 3 Tri-Cities two overtimes to outlast Decatur 95-89 as Jalan Wingfield finished with 27 points and 14 rebounds. No. 4 Winder-Barrow avenged an earlier loss to No. 5 Habersham Central, beating the Raiders 67-59. No. 7 Gainesville rallied from down 11 points to stun Seckinger on the road 57-51 while No. 8 Alexander won at rival South Paulding 65-55. Out of the poll are Lee County (13-5) and New Manchester (13-4). Lee County had a potential game-winner waved off at the buzzer in a 50-48 loss at newly ranked No. 9 Houston County, the Bears propelled by the trio of Malik Gillespie (13.9 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 3.2 apg, 1.4 spg), Josh Jackson (12.1 ppg) and Kam Plummer (11.6 ppg, 4 rpg, 3.4 apg, 1.1 spg). New Manchester lost 77-76 at Lithia Springs, making room for first-timer No. 10 Rome who scored three road wins this past week including drilling Lithia Springs 76-47 as Jamiel Williams poured in 39 points.

Class 4A No. 1 Pace Academy was without Georgia Tech-signee Eric Chatfield in their 64-59 loss to Class 6A No. 3 McEachern at Playing For A Change. Chandler Bing carried the Knights with 21 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. No. 3 Kell also lost at Playing For A Change, defeated by Class 5A No. 2 Woodward Academy 77-66 where Connor Staphylaris (19) and Zach Graves (18) combined for 37 points. No. 4 Southwest DeKalb hangs onto their position following a 48-45 loss to Class 6A No. 8 Buford. No. 7 Jonesboro beat Class 3A No. 7 Douglass 71-54 behind Tim Prather’s 29 points and 10 rebounds. No. 8 Tucker moves up two spots with a 70-61 win vs. No. 9 St. Pius X and a 69-60 victory against Class 3A No. 10 Baldwin at Playing For A Change as Jakobe Williams dumped in 23 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals while Austin Walker contributed 18 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, 5 steals and 2 blocks.

In Class 3A, No. 1 Cedar Grove beat No. 7 Douglass 59-51 in Atlanta before the Astros also lost at Class 4A No. 7 Jonesboro 71-54. No. 4 Sandy Creek moves up a spot with three road wins, beating LaGrange 56-55, Upson-Lee 79-63 and Fayette County 73-42. No. 5 Cherokee Bluff suffered an 86-85 double overtime loss at Jefferson but was without Cooper Glover due to an ankle sprain, leaving the scoring load on Boston Kersh’s shoulders who finished with 38 points as he broke the school record for most points in a single season. No. 6 East Hall survived Jefferson 57-56 while No. 10 Baldwin lost to Class 4A No. 8 Tucker at Playing For A Change 69-60, Karez Demory with 18 points.

Class 2A sees changes in the middle of the poll. At the top, No. 1 Carver-Columbus edged Sumter County (8-8) 60-58 as Troy-signee Tony Montgomery missed the game with the flu but Jakobe Caslin stepped up with 23 points and 7 steals. The Panthers fall out of the Top 10 after also losing to their replacement, No. 10 Spencer 41-38 who returns to the poll. No. 3 KIPP Atlanta won at Private No. 8 Lovett 61-55. No. 2 Columbia beat No. 4 South Atlanta in overtime 55-51, the Hornets moving up two spots in the rankings after beating Salem 66-53 and Bible Baptist 62-57 while seeing No. 6 Butler lose to returnee No. 5 Laney 51-49 and at Burke County 70-69 to slip two spots. No. 7 Union County is down two positions as well, beaten at Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe 85-79.  No. 8 Tattnall County tackled Crisp County 59-48 as Justin McMillian piled in 22 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Hart County (12-7) drops out with a 79-67 loss at Franklin County.

There is a lot going on in Class A D-I with the top four teams all losing games. No. 1 Putnam County retains their spot even with their 66-53 loss to Private No. 3 Greenforest, outrebounded 63-29. J’Mari Greene (13) and Tamaud Woodson (12) led the War Eagles. No. 2 BEST Academy rises in the poll for the unique fact that they had the “best” loss out of the other two teams, beaten 67-64 at St. Francis. No. 3 Temple moves up one spot and nearly clinched the top overall ranking but after beating No. 7 Model in double overtime 74-71 behind Alexander Banks’ 27 points and Darren Drayton’s 17 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists, the Tigers faltered against Northgate 64-56. Model rises one slot thanks to a John Mason layup at the buzzer to stun last week’s Private No. 4 Darlington 53-51 and could have moved higher, but were upset at newly ranked Class A D-II No. 9 Trion 59-50 to close the week. No. 4 Southwest-Macon slips two positions after a 39-37 loss to Bleckley County. No. 8 Vidalia went 2-1 on the road, beating Woodville-Tompkins 57-49 and Toombs County 50-43 before losing against Dodge County 67-52. No. 9 Dublin falls two spots due to a 46-42 home loss against Toombs County and a narrow escape at Washington County 67-65 in overtime. Banks County (10-8) drops out yet again with their .500 play, losing at Providence Christian 68-60 before winning in overtime against Elbert County 72-71. No. 10 Towers resurfaces with a 3-0 week.

Class A D-II saw No. 2 Savannah survive rival Beach 66-59 in overtime. No. 3 Randolph-Clay knocked off No. 4 Calhoun County 56-41 to swap spots, Jaleen Gibson with 24 points. No. 5 Manchester helped knock Mt. Zion-Carrollton (9-7) from the Top 10, crushing the Eagles 98-65 before Mt. Zion lost to debutant No. 9 Trion who is red-hot after also beating Class A D-I No. 7 Model 59-50. No. 10 Clinch County slips two spaces with a 62-52 loss at Pierce County.

In Class 3A-1A Private, No. 3 Greenforest won at Class A D-I No. 1 Putnam County 66-53, dominating inside with a 63-29 rebounding edge as Orion Wilson collected 24 points and 26 rebounds. The Eagles then beat Decatur at Playing For A Change 63-39, holding the Bulldogs to 10 second half points after trailing 29-28 at the break. Daniel Daramola put up 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks. No. 7 Paideia rises with a 68-52 win against Midtown while No. 8 Lovett holds tight with a 61-55 loss to Class 2A No. 3 KIPP Atlanta. Darlington (14-4) tumbles all the way out of the rankings after a 53-51 buzzer-beating loss to Class A D-I No. 7 Model who lost twice this past week and a 71-63 home loss to No. 10 Mt. Vernon, back in the poll for the first time since Week 6 after Chase Daniels had a career night with 28 points. The Mustangs also beat Mt. Paran 63-61 to spark their current three-game winning streak.
