Class AAAAAA

No. 9 Buford 61, 2ANo. 8 Carver-Columbus 44: Lydia Ledford scored 19 points and Cybelle Forbes had 13.

Lambert 61, Sequoyah 60: Kenzie Weyer poured in 19 points and 6 rebounds. Olivia Brabazon had 18 points and 3 assists. Parker Whipple had 11 points and 5 rebounds while West Florida-signee Annarose Tyre tallied 10 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists.

Camden County 51, Colquitt County 41: Ty’Tionna Scott pulled down 19 points and 16 rebounds. Freshman Lea’nah Parrish finished with 14 points and 5 blocks. J’Mya Albertie added 10 points and 3 steals.

Bishop Kenny, FL 54, Marietta 49: Freshman Leah DeWitt dumped in 28 points and 10 rebounds. Kyann Senior tallied 9 points and 6 rebounds while freshman Mackenzie Everett had 7 points and 5 rebounds.

Class AAAAA

No. 7 Bradwell Institute 72, Beach 28: Jordyn Rogers and Destini McLemore posted 14 points each. West Georgia-signee Parris Parham tossed in 12 points. Mariah Reid led Beach with 17 points.

Marcus Scurry’s rise to D-I signee happened in the blink of an eye. Maybe not a household name statewide in Georgia – although he should be by now – the Denver-signee has solidified himself as one of the smoothest guards in the state and in the discussion as not only the best point guard in Augusta, but one of the elite in Georgia.
