2025 5-8 SG Ella Truong – Providence Christian
Whenever Ella got an ounce of space, she made the defense pay in a thrilling 46-45 win over Rabun County. The sharpshooter broke free on numerous occasions to finish with a game-high 20 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 1 block. Truong drained three three-pointers, hitting two off the bounce. Ella showed the ability to get to her spots and fluidly get into her shot as she netted two pull-ups from the mid-range, one an And-1 coming out of a spin move. Truong used screens to her advantage to get clean looks, both shooting overtop of screens and refusing them. Ella has good coordination and a steady handle, using a subtle step-back to free herself for extra space. Continuing to move without the ball will allow her more advantageous scoring opportunities as Rabun County’s face guard took her out of a few plays. Ella is still flying under the radar after averaging 18 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2 assists and 2.8 steals per game. She’s an interesting option for D-III, NAIA and NCCAA programs.

2027 6-0 PG Sazy Cantrell – Providence Christian
The big guard banked in a running floater from above the free throw line at the buzzer to stun Rabun County 46-45. Sazy tallied 13 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 blocks. Cantrell has intriguing upside due to her size and comfortability running the point. She uses her length to get on the glass and defend. When she attacks the hoop, she can finish overtop of most defenders.  Cantrell scored on two floaters, a drive and a BLOB. She finished 5-6 from the foul line and played through foul trouble, picking up her fourth foul at the 4:55 mark of the third quarter with the Storm up 27-25. Sazy Cantrell could be a name that quietly moves up rankings and recruiting boards as her career progresses.

2026 5-8 W Madison Houck – Rabun County
For the second time this season, Madison Houck impressed me in person with her skill from the combo-forward position. After a steady showing against Lanier at the Sandy’s Spiel Tip-Off Classic, Houck once again provided Rabun County with crucial production albeit in a 46-45 loss to Providence Christian as she gathered a team-high 15 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. Houck has developed court vision, accurately completing two-handed cross-court passes to open shooters and also threading the needle with wrap around passes to the post. Madison helped break the press and ran the floor for a pair of hoops. She scored out of the pick-and-roll and converted two And-1 layups. Houck was cool from the foul line, shooting 5-6 including two free throws with 39.7 seconds left to go up 45-42.

Millie Pugmire2027 5-8 SG Millie Pugmire – Athens Academy
Athens Academy, now healthy after a team bout with the flu, steamrolled Oglethorpe County 65-24 using a balanced attack. Millie led all Spartans with 12 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 steal. Pugmire sank an And-1 pull-up jumper, scored in transition by running the floor twice, converted a drive and drilled a corner three off a BLOB to round out her scoring. Millie is a microwave scorer when she’s hot, able to score in bunches from beyond the arc. Her off the dribble creativity is continuing to improve, helping diversify her attack. Millie is a good sophomore for college programs to track.

2026 5-6 G Carlie Gabriel – Oglethorpe County
Carlie was the lone offensive bright spot for Oglethorpe County, scoring 16 of her team’s 24 points. Gabriel drained three three-pointers, scored on a fastbreak and on a drive for her points. The compact athlete went 3-5 from the foul line.
